When you visit our little "piece" on Earth we hope you feel the "peace" we do.  After spending many years living in the city, we found a place where we feel the calm and solitude we've been wanting and needing for a long time. Now, we want to share it with you.  A 10-acre "piece" of "peace" on Earth.  Come join us for a day or two.  Settled on a secluded hillside in a rural valley near the Columbia River, Fern Hill Cabin is a perfect getaway. Surround yourself with 10 acres of forest and trails. Relax in a hammock on the hillside. Let nature and quiet soothe your weary mind. Wander trails in our woods. Watch the stars by firelight (in season). Melt into the comfortable queen bed for a rejuvenating night’s sleep. There are also several restaurants five miles away in Rainier, OR. Weddings/events are also welcome (contact us for photos of the barn venue and bar).

Cheerful hillside studio cabin
We loved our stay at the cabin! Exceptionally cozy and well situated, it had loads of privacy and everything you could need. Our pups loved getting a chance to play and explore the paths around the property, we could have spent all our time here. It was a great jumping off point for fishing and hiking around the area and we will be booking again.

More like “a piece of heaven”
This was, hands down, the best stay I have ever had on any accommodations site. Hotel or otherwise. Here, we had the luxury of a warm bed, perfect little kitchen, and a very comfortable bathroom, while also being in the middle of nature with no one around. The privacy is tangible. It’s everything my husband and I could dream of having on a vacation to the woods. I felt comfortable changing clothes on the porch of the cabin - that’s how private this place is. It’s backed up pretty far on Brian’s property, so you can still access him if you need anything, along with the adorable bar/wifi station they’ve built. There are trails, open grass area to lay in the sun, and plenty of wildlife around. All of which is ran by wonderful people. My husband and I really couldn’t have asked for more this trip. It was an incredible way to go off grid while staying nearby. The cabin has all that you’ll need for a getaway. I will be returning, again and again… but no, I will not be recommending to a friend.. Simply because I want this place all to myself. 😉

Cheerful hillside studio cabin
Very comfortable cozy cabin with privacy. My partner, me, and pets had a wonderful time walking the land and enjoying the nature. Brian was very friendly and greeted us to ensure we had everything we needed. There is WiFi down the hill at the barn/bar. Our TMobile cell service did not work and we took this time to unplug from the distractions and fully relax. We are already planning additional trips back.

Adorable & clean cabin in the woods
We loved this cute little cabin in the woods! Super friendly host, clear instructions for arrival and the cabin was very clean and had every amenity we could have asked for. Beautiful views and a peaceful location. We would stay here again for sure!
