Mayger Dock was the perfect escape. With coffee at 7:30am and a long wonderful chat with the hosts, our experience here was beyond what we expected. Book this gem! Plenty of room for your rig/camping setup and a super friendly family.

The description written by the host and the pictures provided by the host are VERY deceiving:
1. You are ultimately camping on their front lawn with no privacy from the host's house. My friend and I made the best of it with our car to make some barriers of privacy, but it was NOT what we expected.
2. During the time we stayed there was a fire ban, but the host was VERY strict even for camping stoves so we struggled to cook our meals.
3. The host/area lives right across from a state park where maaaaaany locals go over, drive around making donuts on the sand (aka LOUD), blast music and drink. Multiple groups would come by from even late at night, so for light sleepers will NOT be able to sleep.
4. The porta potty was filthy. The last time it was marked to be cleaned was May 2021.
For POCs who are looking at this reservation, please also know the area has ALOT of confederate flags so it was also very tense for us (who are two WOC).
EVERYTHING we thought by the picture and description was NOT what we expected.
