Me and my two friends were looking for somewhere to stay near the beach. And we are all so glad we booked a night on Mark's land! There were lots of mosquitos but just make sure you have long sleeves, bug spray, and wood for the fire pit! There was potable water and bathrooms nearby which made it comfortable. My favorite part was waking up in the morning and sitting on the bench in front of an exquisite view of the Tillamook river. Unfortunately we got in late and left early so we didn't get a chance to meet Mark, but he was super kind and a quick to respond. Thank you for this opportunity, we hope to be back soon!:)

I was the first one to stay in the newly cleared site. I came here once before and stayed in the neighboring site. I love the proximity to Netarts and Tillamook Bay, great spot to stay at if you're climbing and crabbing.

Camp #7 was surrounded by beautiful ferns and shady, tall trees, slightly more secluded than some of the other spots. Located across a road from the Tillamook River, the scenery was gorgeous and there was minimal street noise. Mark was a hospitable and helpful host, greeting us when we arrived and giving us info on where to get firewood in town (bring cash). The property is about 15 minutes away from Tillamook Creamery and the Meares Lighthouse, making it ideal for checking out the area. The walk to the portopotty was a little long and uphill but not terrible. I would highly recommend this campsite!

Private site on a good bit of land. Caution that site 5’s driveway can get muddy in the rain. The host was nice enough to let us use site 1’s pop up shelter to hang out and cook at while it was raining.

We found this perfect spot last minute and the host was so gracious , the pup Augie was a sweet heart, we had 3 dogs and they got to roam the campsite and be dogs, we loved the quite little spot and will most definitely book again thanks - Krissie

Mark is a great host! Though we were unable to make it to the site because of some car issues; we still had a great experience. Mark gave us a call and was extremely kind and generous. He obviously cares a lot about his site and his campers!

Staying on Mark’s land was great! We originally booked lot 5 but he let us make our pick since we were the only campers. His dog hung out with us the whole time which was a treat and lot 3 has a beautiful view of the river.

I had a great experience camping at Mark’s land. Beautiful and convenient location for sightseeing, and close to town. Nice and private. Mark is a great host. He is very thoughtful and accommodating. Auggie is the sweetest camp dog ever. I loved my stay, and i look forward to returning!

My teenage son and I had such a pleasant day and night at camp! Shady site #7 was a cute secluded forest spot with a picnic table and a fire pit with enough room for our rooftop tent (or a couple ground tents).
We were just a short walk from the water and bathrooms up the road and there are several wonderful camp spots to choose from.
Mark was a WONDERFUL host and was so helpful, kind and accommodating with lots of information about Tillamook and surrounding Oregon. If you’re lucky enough, you’ll get a visit from Oggy, the SWEETEST black lab, and Jinx the cat!
We will 100% be back, thanks so much for a great stay Mark!

Mark was very responsive, helpful and kind! The area just had a big rain and he was really on top of making sure my experience was still great with the mud. The property is stunning and he has carved out the spaces to have privacy. He also gave me great tips on things to do in the area. As a girl traveling alone, I felt very safe staying on this property and was grateful for the peace of mind.

Mark was an incredible host! We went for hunting season and he helped us get to the driest spot, he ended up giving us hunting recommendations and a good conversation. His dog is super cute and friendly and might take your shoe to his porch hahaha. Overall such a fantastic host close to tillamook. Would recommend highly!

My first time using Hipcamp. I needed to find a spot last minute and was happy I found this gem. I visited in October after the tourist season so it wasn’t busy. I car camped and it was my first time as a solo female. I was really excited but nervous but felt safe and serene out there. I loved waking up early and drive to see the mountains and river nearby as the fog would smear across the trees, over the water, and over the mountains. I would love to come back again next fall and stay for longer.

Be ready when you turn in and up to the spots it is steep but accessible without any problem! We will come back, close to everything.

Mark’s property was a great place to camp for the weekend! We stayed at site 7, which was plenty roomy for 2 of us, and the most private spot out of them all. There was a fire-pit and picnic table at the site, and porta-potties and drinkable water just up the road closer to the other sites. The only problem we had was with the uneven ground at our site. Due to the tree roots and being on a hill, most of the site was on a slight slope, making it difficult to cook and setup chairs in comfortably. We found a space big and flat enough to pitch our tent, but was still slightly noticeable when sleeping. We still made it work and enjoyed our time here, but it’s something to keep in mind when looking for a campsite. Mark was very friendly and answered any of our questions immediately, and his very friendly dog roamed down to greet us while we setup camp. The area was awesome too, and is close to many underrated attractions just a short drive away!

Site number 4 was perfect for us. It was flat enough to accommodate our travel trailer, had easy access to the main road but was still very private. The views are amazing and the camp host was very friendly.

I did car camping and I truly enjoyed my stay!!! I had a warm welcoming by a cat that hung out with us for a bit. Super quiet, super peaceful at night, action in the morning by cars driving by ( but in my opinion, it kind of sounded like the ocean) , never the less absolutely comfortable. In the morning, if you’re parked, just right, you have an amazing view of the Tillamook River! It’s a great place to set up basecamp, especially if you’re in crabbing or anything fishing related on the Oregon coast. While packing up, I was feeling a bit disappointed that I didn’t get to meet the camp dog, but somehow someway he made his way through helping his way to treats and a bit of water loved his energy! Will definitely stay again!!!!

What a great little spot to get away! Our site was spacious, great little swinging chair to sit and enjoy the view of the river. Mark the owner was fantastic , and the best part was Auggie, the friendly black lab that kept our dog Bailey company all weekend! We were so sad to leave. We will definitely be back!

We absolutely loved staying in campsite #2 nestled in the orchard, and I can't recommend it highly enough!
The campsite itself was lovely—spacious and beautifully maintained. There is a large picnic table and fire pit. The land is serene and felt like a hidden paradise. I absolutely loved watching the deer eat fallen apples in the morning. The large site offered plenty of room for our truck, small inflatable boat and gear. Site 1 and 4 are nearby but it still felt private.
One of the highlights was the convenience of being so close to town, the bays, rivers and beaches. We went crabbing and spent the afternoons and evenings at the beach.
We also fell in love with the camp host Dog. He and our dog were instant friends. Such a sweetheart.
Overall, this campsite is a gem—wonderful host, breathtaking surroundings, and a unique experience that combines privacy, convenience and nature. I can't wait to return!

I have to say, I thought Mark's HC setup was pretty sweet. Really pretty and well maintained property, well marked and designed spots. Orchard site was very nice, nestled amongst the apple and pear trees at the bottom of his lawn. Easy for me to pull in and find a level spot to pop open my rooftop tent. There was a picnic table, fire pit and firewood waiting for me. Porta potties we're on the other side of the blackberry shrubs, about 20 feet away. They were clean and pretty aroma free. Mark and his big lack doggo greeted me after arrival and both were very friendly, I really enjoyed chatting with Mark about the area. I enjoyed the Turkeys on the roof of their pen and hearing the wildlife in the surrounding woods. Other campers in their spots were all really friendly and all smiles. The vibe was good. I was really pleasantly surprised by the whole thing and would definitely stay there again. You're about 7 minutes outside the town of Tillamook so close but still out of town. Initial driveway is steep but better after that. I've started in people's yards before and it was a little weird - definitely not the case here.

Easy to find and set up. Felt safe. And secure. Had the shady spot and that it is. Was offered the sunny spot at top but had already set up so stayed. Slept great. Cows moo early like roosters 😊

I loved camping at Mark's! He was incredibly accommodating by allowing us to move spots when he had an opening! He has truly made the land amazing by building a bench swing, putting in porta potties (very clean), and providing a water tank to refill water bottles. Auggie and the camp kitty were also a great addition! BOOK HERE!
