We have a gem a property we would love to share with likeminded campers: 3.6 acres of land, central acre is wetlands, a series of three giant spring fed ponds, one feeding the next. the north and southern side of the ponds each have a strip of what used to be a Christmas tree farm... except that the property has been left unkept for over a decade and the Christmas trees are now all 30'-40' tall, creating a dense forest. There are hills on hills, banks, and a range of landscapes creating a very diverse property.
We have been busy transforming the raw land into a magical paradise, clearing brambles, planting a range of food bearing trees, and building basic infrastructure.
Our ponds are filled with bluegill, trout, mosquito fish, tree frogs, and a range of marine wildlife. A cooper hawk has its nest just a hundred meters to the south, owls hoot at night along with the choir of frogs, and on special occasion you may get a glimpse of Bob, the Bobcat and Pepe the skunk.
One of the reasons we got this property is to create a safe haven for building community. we host sauna gatherings twice a week, wwoofers are welcome to join saunas and a dip in the pond.
We are off-grid, with a solar powered electrical system, and filtered rain water collection. We are working towards sustainable food production with a goal of becoming a self-sustaining property free from incumbrancers of society

Lakeside retreat
Quiet area with lots of wildlife.
Lacklan is super nice and accommodating. The property is pretty neat with three ponds and an area to hangout and cook or have a bonfire. It is pretty quiet there so it was relaxing to hang out by the pond and fish for a while. I have a small conversion van and got much needed uninterrupted sleep.
