Deschutes National Forest - HERMOSA

Nice quiet place to stop for the night. Nice open space with cell reception and good access for Starlink. We have a long rig (50’)…and we are quite skilled at backing up. We couldn’t have turned around in the camp area…if needed.

Great location, very quiet, not a lot of other campers (we only had one other camper van). We didn't like that the entire acre was unmowed and we had to wade through knee high grass in most places.

Quiet camping near SR

Space 3 was a private and quiet camp spot very close to Sunriver. We have a 25ft camper van and this space worked perfect. We were out and about during the day, all day and this spot worked well for us as a nighttime landing pad. I would recommend for the quiet, price and proximity to SR.

Nice area. Lots of trees in the area but the campsite itself felt a bit bare. The water smelled like metals and was a light brown/yellow color. Noticed this while showering. We ended up just using our stored water because the water was very questionable. The electric box also had some form of small wasp hive. When connecting the power my husband noticed the wasps within the electrical box. All in all this is not the best hipcamp. It was cheap but I would've definitely paid more to stay somewhere where I could actually use the water. It has potential if the water is clean and if more shade is added.

It was nice. It was a nice flat pad, it was very close to town. It is off a gravel road. There is poor data (really all over Sunriver), but we had a starlink, so that was so helpful. Nice picnic table. Site 1 was easy to get into and out of. It is quiet, nice area to walk.

This place is perfect! We booked 2 of the 3 spots for a few days and it was wonderful. Felt like we were in our own space with our family. Perfectly located, off the main road. We were close to everythin.. shopping,swimming,hiking,(found a private trail in the area), mountain biking and even close enough to the hospital emergency room when hubby tried to break himself on Mt. Bachelor. We had our dogs with us and there was plenty of space for them. On Sunday we got a nice surprise when the Ice cream Man drove by!! Yes, us adults were excited, my 40yr old brother jumping up and down lol. The gentleman told us he comes by every Sunday during the summer, even on those back roads. We even got our pups fruit sickles! We will absolutely stay here again!

Basic but met our needs

Since the other two spots were vacant, it was nice and private. If others had been there, they would have been right next to us. The sight is very basic, but met our needs. . Apple Maps sent us to the incorrect street (one street past) and we didn’t notice that the street name was incorrect. So I recommend checking the street name if you are following those directions.

Nice place to park the RV. The weekend we stayed was very hot in Bend. Liked the convience of electric and water hook up. No shade on the property, it has potential for improvement.

Overall we had a great experience. I would definitely recommend if you are in a pinch for hookups. Site #3 was a little small. We had a 21ft travel trailer and that was a tight turn.

We have really enjoyed camping here. We had a wonderful time and we had so many deers as visitors to our site- it was just beautiful. The host were welcoming and had answered all my question in a timely manner. I would book with you guys again while I’m visiting Sunriver.

Nice simple Lot. 30amp and water...

What was most impressive about this site were the owners. Very friendly and sent out several nice welcoming texts. The site itself seems fairly new and has no growth or plantings on it. Its basically a cleared lot with some SOFT gravel for the driveway areas and wood chips for the hanging out area. The area is quiet. The sites seem like they are designed for Class C and smaller trailers. As it has only 30 AMP service. It may be a little tight moving a big 38' 5th wheel around or a Big Class A. The driveway ground is a little soft I would suggest compacting the driveway area And bing in some gravel thats less mixed with dirt/sand as it could get muddy easily as is....other than that it all great. The neighbor, who is friends with the owner, just happened to be around next door and welcoming as well and gave us all sorts of tips on where to go for a hike or for places to visit in the region. There is a really nice hike just down the road and into the woods that is an easy grade and you can walk for miles. If you want to gain elevation then you can hike up Ann's Butte for some views

Directions were easy to follow even getting in after dark. Pulled in and plugged in and had movie night. Nice and quiet had a great nights sleep. Would recommend, thanks again.
