    Pitch your tent in our picturesque Carolinian forest in the heart of Norfolk county! Choose from 9 tent sites and 1 lodging site spread across 10 acres of wooded area on our 49 Acre farm. Well-kept trails to explore throughout. We are proud to have made the runner-up list for best Hipcamp in Ontario 2023 The terrain is mostly flat but interesting. Campsites are private with good separation from each other. Sites contain a picnic table and fire pit. Campfires are permitted according to our approved burn plan before midnight. 5G/LTE cellphone service is good for Bell, Rogers and Telus networks. FREE Firewood can be gathered on the forest floor or pay for on-site pre-cut wood. Outhouses are close to campsites....but not too close 💩 Port Rowan is only 12 minutes away by car, most amenities can be purchased only 1 minute away at the local Busy Bee gas station. We are situated in the middle of a Recreation Hotspot! Our site is within 3 minutes of paddling the Big Creek, 3 to 10 minutes to several A+ hiking trails, 15 minutes to amazing freshwater beaches of Long Point and Turkey Point, and the area is abound with cycling trails, motorcycle routes, geocaching, boat launches (we have room here for your boat!), cider/wine tours, and more! We are the perfect basecamp for everything the Long Point Bay area has to offer We have some great watering holes nearby like burning kiln winery, hounds of Erie and Charlotteville brewing company. Birders Paradise! The ‘Long Point Birding Area’ in Norfolk County is one of Canada’s premier birding locales. With over 400 species of birds observed, Long Point looms large as one of the most exciting places on the continent to observe our rich birdlife.     LongPoint is the first site as you enter the woods from the main trail (on the right). It is close to the outhouse and is a large sized plot with vehicle access and parking. This site is close to Turkey Point; ideal if you are booking two sites to accommodate large groups that want to be close to eachother.     Amazonia is a remote site located on the south trail loop accessible by vehicle off the main trail (on the right). It is a large sized plot with vehicle access and parking.     Dew Drop is an easy access site (direct from the forest perimeter road) and also on the south trail loop for pedestrian acess on the other side. It is a typical sized plot with vehicle access and parking. There are several mature trees on the site, but plenty of room around them to camp. We reccomnend you park your car at the back side of the campsite to block possible sound from the next site over (Turkey point) Parking: 4 cars on-site Distance to: closest campsite: 180' Shower: 750' Outhouse:500'

    Hougton is a large site in the back of the Magic forest- perfect if seclusion is your thing. The drawback to this is access is through a longer and windier trail vs other sites (you can still drive your car onto site) and you will be far away from bathroom.     My girlfriend and I enjoyed our 2 night stay. Quiet, close to lake eerie and unique little towns, long point for the beaches, and friendly neighbours (shoutout to Dave for giving us bug spray!) Sites are well spread out but a little closer than the map might imply. We also appreciated having wood on site!

    Had a great stay. Everything you need to camp. Starstruck was a great site for star gazing. Hosts were very accommodating. Would recommend to anyone looking to explore Norfolk. Backus Woods a couple minutes away with loads of trails for nature lovers.

    I'm a local birder, and just needed a place to lay my head for the night. What a lovely little campsite I had. I could see and hear quite a few warblers. There was plenty of room to set up my tents as well. Will hopefully return again next season.

    Very nice spot, conveniently located near Long Point. We were visiting for the birds. The campsite is not completely out of site from other sites, but it's a nice enough spot to pitch a tent for a night. I would come back.

    Super quiet and nice get away from the city. Only small negative was the height of the doorway to the cabin. When you’re half asleep, you may bonk your head 😂 my buddy and I kept knocking out heads off it every so often. Great location and wonderful cabin. Thank you for hosting

    Second time coming back here! Nice forested area that provides endless quiet. Very peaceful get away, wood stove super toasty in the bunkie and the wood stands by all sites is unmatchable. Best yet even got to witness Erik land his plane! Great place to visit, would recommend to anyone.

    We loved tent camping on Angela and Erik's land. It was beautiful and spacious, and super easy to get to. We got so lucky with the weather in late October and were able to enjoy two peaceful nights amongst the trees and the stars.

    Very accommodating host talked me through in direct messages. The cabin in the forest of a farm land is along the farm land, totally visible from the lane way. Park behind the cabin. The wood stove was useful while it was chilly that night. Firewood extra. Private shower and mobile toilet. Missed out on the northern light that night. Otherwise, a warm and cozy escape.

    Campground is small but as it only a few sites, it allows for much more privacy. Though we only stayed for one night at the Turkey Point spot, we had a great time and would definitely come back!

    We loved the open space and the view of the location. We had plenty of space to set up our camp. At night, this site is amazing if there are clear skies. We had a fun time doing stargazing while enjoying the bonfire.

    Absolutely loved it. It was beautiful with the lush green forest and the starry skies. Spacious sites can maybe occupy upto 3 tents easily.

    This is a great camping destination. I prefer this experience since it is quieter and cozier than most more commercial sites. I did not have time to explore everything but I highly recommend this place for your next camping adventure.

    We had a decent stay at this campsite. The site itself was great — open and spacious, awesome picnic table with a relatively clean porta-potty as long as all guests who share the one located in their area understand the rule of free peeing in the bush and using the facilities for #2 only and follow up with sawdust. This isn’t common, but the hosts do a great job of letting you know ahead of time, as well as additional reminder signs in the washrooms. The hosts were excellent and maintained great communication throughout our stay. While most of the neighbour’s respected the quiet time hours, the number of sites (7?) means you might not always have the peace and quiet you're hoping for. Overall, it's a solid choice if you're okay with the possibility of a busier atmosphere on weekends; however much, much quieter and more secluded than the alternative option of a provincial park or conservation area!
