Killara Station is 215-acre rural oasis located halfway between Minden and Haliburton, Ontario. A Canadian who grew up in Haliburton, but who lived for over 20 years in Australia, owner Susan Peel calls Killara Station home. The name - Killara Station - is grounded in the language of Australia's Indigenous and colonials. Killara means permanent Station means farm. Killara is home to several thriving small businesses. PAWS provides doggie daycare, boarding, and training, and off leash packwalks happen Wednesday-Sunday 2-3pm (the public is welcome; no booking required). FRESH is a unique pick-your-own organic food experience and date sales reflect the daily harvest. Freshly laid eggs are available and organically fed free-range chickens and turkeys are offered fresh or frozen, depending on the season. Mosman #2

Horses, emus, goats, pigs, & more!

Thank you Sue, and her very helpful and friendly staff, for sharing your beautiful property with us. We were welcomed by Sue, and many friends including a herd of goats as we drove down to the campsite. We will be back.

Wildes Meadow

Highly recommend

This was a perfect camp spot! Sue was great, the farm was really pretty and cute, and the camp spot was private, shaded and beautiful :) also went out on a trail ride on the farm too. Highly recommend - we'll back for sure.

Singleton

Amazing experience

Sue is an incredible host! We felt right at home and we were well taken care of throughout our stay. The grounds are exceptionally clean and staying alongside farm life was a one of a kind experience. We will be returning again and again. Thank you Sue and the Killara Station staff.

St.Albans

This is our second time at Killara Station and we absolutely love it. The kids love to see the animals and give the ones willing a pat. We caught (and released!) some toads, grasshoppers and daddy long legs and took a short 15 minute drive to the beach. We ended up staying on Kangaloon as the drive to St.Albans was pretty squishy from recent rain but it’s a very nice spot. Camping here is always very private and very quiet during the day but remember, this is a working farm so don’t expect silence at night. Side note: don’t forget to put on some bug spray and check out trails! This property is to die for. Thanks again Sue!

Mosman #2

The mosman spot was great; easy access, firm land despite significant rainfall. The farm is beautiful, expect friendly well trained dogs with jobs. The host and her team were super welcoming and accommodating. Our dog had a good time at their dog camp for one day during our stay. Power and water worked well, plenty of farm produce to buy too if that’s your thing. Very quiet at night, expect occasionally to hear dogs barking during the day from the kennel (didn’t bother us). If we are in the area again, would likely come back for sure. 12km drive from nearest supercharger
