Part of the Moonstead Escapes experience, The Deadband is more than just a campsite - itâs a fully immersive, post-apocalyptic survival challenge set on rugged, off-grid terrain. Designed for adventurers, thrill-seekers, and teams looking to test their limits, The Deadband drops you into a stripped-down world where strategy, grit, and adaptability determine your outcome.
đ§ What to Expect Upon Arrival:
When you arrive, youâll check in at Basecamp, where youâll receive a mission briefing and select your challenge tierâScout (Beginner), Outlander (Intermediate), or Lone Wolf (Advanced). Each tier comes with its own storyline, goals, and survival restrictions.
Youâll be issued a basic survival kit with the option to upgrade or trade gear based on your challenge level. No phones, no GPS, no hand-holding-just your instincts and the environment. The area includes:     â˘Â    Primitive tent zones or RV shelter add-on     â˘Â    Campfire ring with limited firewood supply     â˘Â    Walking/biking trails     â˘Â    Pond + creek access with fishing poles     â˘Â    Hidden caches (if you can find themâŚ)     â˘Â    Optional missions: navigation, resource scavenging, timed escapes, and shelter-building tasks
đĽ The Challenge:
Youâll have 24â48 hours (depending on your stay) to complete tasks, earn survival points, and navigate unexpected twists. Complete the core missionâor choose to go rogue and carve your own path. Each challenge tier includes:     â˘Â    Story-driven objectives     â˘Â    Physical & mental endurance tasks     â˘Â    Resource trade stations     â˘Â    Optional night-time survival round (not for the faint of heart)
