The blackberry patch.
Wonderful stay!
My friend and I took a chance trying out a new site through this. And we were both pleasantly surprised and will be coming back during blackberry season! There was a perfect spot looking out over the pond to set up a tent and have a fire going and plenty of land to explore! Glenda, the host, was super kind and provided fishing poles for us and let us pet her horse! As stated above we will love to come back!

The Peace and quiet we needed
What a most perfect weekend we had here! Glenda is such a great person and host. The property is beyond beautiful!! We like to camp away from civilization and this property gives you that option. We needed the peace and quiet away from our hectic daily routine. We will definitely be frequent return visitors of Mavericks stomping grounds!

Perfect backpack survival location
This was a perfect location for a weekend backpacking trip! There was a pond, natural spring water and plenty of natural beautiful terrain to hike and explore. Glenda was super helpful and showed us around the property. We WILL be back!

An afternoon with the Longhorns!
We visited Maverick's Stomping Grounds for an afternoon of hiking and photography. In addition to Glenda's cattle, we saw a few deer and a variety of other wildlife. Glenda was very accommodating, and owns some beautiful property. Be prepared with a 4WD vehicle if you want to drive, and good hiking shoes or boots for walking. If you love cattle, like me, this is the place for you! The longhorns are very gentle, just be sure to give plenty of room for those massive horns.
