Learn more about this land:
Our farm is a second-year organic homestead farm. Located just off the banks of the Ohio River, our little 10-acre paradise resides in the small village of Bethal, Ohio. The farm is just 45 minutes East of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Our head dirt digger is a 29 M born in Cincinnati, he spent most the first 7 years of his adult life in Columbus where he studied industrial design, started a few businesses. Until he went west and started his wwoofing journey in CO, WY, OR and then taking his adventures to Thailand to wwoof on a remote organic eco-community in the southern jungle of Khao Sok. As an experienced WWOOFER he is excited to become a host to this amazing community and way of life!
He is partnered with his father, brothers and sister to help bring this organic farm to life. We open our doors to other like-mind stewards of the earth and animals to join our endeavor to become closer to nature and build a sustainable community on our land.
The land is protected by woods on either side along with a 1/3 acre fishing pond that will be used for irrigation, and fishing of course. The plan is to build a fishery. Phase one for produce is Approx. 100x100 crop garden that has been built and planted. We are preparing for field crops to help feed the animals this fall for finishing. About a third of our 10 acres are wooded and the back sits into 300 acres of woodlands with some amazing woods and creeks. We are a short trip from East Fork State park and lake and hope to have a boat one day for trips on the big lake.
The land was vacant for about 7 years prior to us purchasing and remodeling the home on the property. We are coming on year 6 of the land being untouched. We have made it through our first year and the second will be even better!
