The campsite was well maintained and beautiful . The hosts were very kind and helpful. Perfect place to stay if you don’t like crowded campgrounds.

TLDR: Good access to Hocking Hills. Likely best for off-road folks and/or small to medium RVers. Great price and ability to hold larger crowds may balance a few rough edges. .
Full review: Overall we enjoyed our time at Outlook Haven, with more pros than cons, so a mixed bag. I think for certain folks it would be great (larger groups, ATC users).
On the plus side, the hosts were kind and responsive. One of our party ended up switching from campervan to tent and the hosts let us spread out to the other site that had a more comfortable tenting experience. That was a super gift for us. The sites have good shade and a wide variety of birds . The electrical, sewer, and water are all convenient and the shared portapotty is close but not too close by.
On the negative side, they are still developing the areas so there are minor issues such the rocks aren't yet smooth and compacted, the picnic table needs sanding on the edges, and the water spigot sprayed into the ground causing mud on the edge of the campsite. I would imagine, had we been in an RV, those might not have been problems at all. And we were able to work around all of them as well. RVs though might have some trouble getting up the hill to the campsite.
There is heavy 4x4/ATC options around the area, including some you can get to straight from the site. That wasn't our thing, but if its yours, I imagine this would be a great location!

We had a fantastic stay! The host was incredibly accommodating from start to finish, making us feel welcome and ensuring we had everything we needed. Communication was prompt and friendly, and they went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. The campsite was exactly as described, and it was clear that a lot of care has gone into creating a great space for guests. We truly appreciated the host’s flexibility and hospitality. We’d gladly stay again and highly recommend this site to anyone looking for a relaxing and hassle-free camping experience.

The campsites were thoughtfully stocked with firewood and there were cooking grates on the fire pits. Great dark sky viewing and generally quiet except for a couple hours of the neighbor playing some music, but it didn’t bother us. Cleanest port-a-john I’ve ever seen!
Would definitely recommend!

We really enjoyed our time at Wild Ridge! The hosts were very nice and even brought us a tarp for our firewood when it rained! I would definitely stay here again.

Wild Ridge was a delightful and peaceful place to camp. With only a few campsites available, we had the luxury of sharing the area with just two other couples during our stay, making it feel quite private. The full hookups at our site were a great convenience.
While the campground is still a work in progress, it offered excellent value for the price. One area noted for improvement is around the fire pit; it could use some leveling to make seating more comfortable. However, the provided firewood was a nice touch, as purchasing wood can add up quickly, and it's best not to transport it from other places.
Although they mentioned selling wood as well, we found ourselves settling in for the night after a day of hiking and dinner, which made the supplied wood the perfect amount. If you're someone who enjoys the amenities of a KOA, this might not be the spot for you. However, for those who prefer remote sites and the chance to escape the crowds, Wild Ridge offers a great balance.
Overall, we had a wonderful time and are likely to return!

They are still working on some landscaping and moving stuff around but in the next year I think it will be an amazing spot and the view was great. Running water and electric at the campsite were nice. Owners are very friendly and lots of great trails in the area.

Mark and Jody were very accommodating, thier property is fairly private, the portapotty was clean and stocked . The directions were accurate and the 3 sites were well marked. Improvements are still in progress but it was still a great site. The best part of all was the price on firewood . At 35$ a tote i was able to have a nice well stocked fire for 2 day's and only used half of what was provided. Absolutely loved this site and would definitely recommend it.

Beautiful property up a little mountain, they are working on getting power and water setup and the area is very much still a work in progress but it's getting there, very few neighbors and your on the edge of a ridge with great views. The family is very kind and even ran an extension cord out for us to have power, it let us put up our outdoor lights and made for an awesome extended weekend. Your close to all the awesome caves and falls. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful two-night stay at Wildridge! Jody and Mark were fantastic, communicative hosts — we were thrilled to be among the first guests to experience their gorgeous and peaceful property. Tucked away from the main roads yet close to Hocking Hills and local amenities, this is such a lovely campsite. Thank you Mark and Jody!
