The Werry's Secret Resort is set in the woods on the Hocking River. The peaceful surroundings are found on a secluded township road half mile from the main highway. Reservations at the Werry's Secret Resort include the entire camping area and are not shared with other guests. If you plan to RV camp, van camp, pull behind, etc., the picnic shelter house location will work best for you. If you plan to tent camp, the riverside is also an option for you. To access the riverside, there is a short walk through the woods. There are no hook-ups and the camping on the river side is primitive. The site includes a picnic shelter with picnic tables, a cooking fire ring and a bonfire ring. There is also a swing set for children.Reservations at the Werry's Secret Resort include the entire camping area and are not shared with other guests. The camping area is divided into two sections and you can choose which section you want to camp in. Both are open for guests to explore. The first section is over 2 acres with the picnic shelter, which is located between the road and along the river inlet that ranges from little to no water and up to 2 feet. The shelter includes 2 picnic tables, a swing set, and is near the cooking fire pit and the bonfire pit. A unique feature is the large number of lotus plants that have cropped up and fill the inlet with beautiful pink and white blooms from late June to early August. The space closest to the shelter is fairly open, with lightly wooded sections further away. This section is ideal for truck and camper combos and RVs. Feel free to choose your spot. The section along the river is approximately 3 acres and is accessible through a short trail. It is lightly wooded and rambles along between the inlet and the Hocking River. There is a suggested tent spot, but feel free to choose your own adventure. Vehicles can be parked at the shelter.

We loved our time here. The flexibility of choosing the best spot for us and the privacy made our stay so easy. We had a camper, so stayed by the shelter house by the road, but it still felt private, and if we had a tent to setup by the river… even more so! And spoiled for choice with trees for hammocks!! Always a nice bonus. We’ll be back!

Rick & Tasha have a beautiful place. It was so peaceful to sit in the grove of trees and enjoy the birds, dragonflies, and Lotus blooms in the water. I definitely plan to stay here again when traveling through Ohio.

This place was perfect for us. A very large well maintained area all to yourselves. Ypu could tell they care about their property. The host was excellent. If we had questions, they were quick to respond. The pavilion was extremely useful. It rained a few times and we were not stuck in our tent. Close enough to local stores and gas yet far enough away. Would 100% stay here again.

Absolutely loved Werry’s secret resort! Tons of flat space for tents and having the pavilion made all the different. The lotus flowers surrounding you were breathtaking. Despite being close to the road, it still felt private. Rick was super responsive to any questions we had. We will definitely be back!

Rick's spot is so beautiful. Swamp location is easy to get to and the addition of the pavilion and trash can is a convenient touch. The river spot is an easy walk and stunning. We decided to set up our tent there and saw so many birds in the day and lightning bugs in the evening. There is a bit of street noise from across the river, but it feels very private and secluded. Rick is so nice and communicative! Would highly recommend

Rick’s land and camping spot was beautiful I loved everything about this trip/camp spot. Rick met us when we got there and drove us to show how to get to the riverside, he was a great host and provided Firewood as well.

Love the pavilion and fire circles! Peaceful and private location. Super host. The "grown ups" slept in our camper van while my OU daughter and her friends tent and hammock camped on the spacious and wooded grounds.

Outstanding site with picnic pavilion, tables, fire & cooking pits all on a peaceful and private site. Trees and spacious site along with fantastic hosts make this a site that we will definitely visit again!
