It is something in between. A thoughtfully designed space created for people who want to be immersed in nature while still enjoying comfort, beauty, and the conveniences that make a stay feel easy. The Warbler's Nest was built with intention. Every detail was chosen to create a place where you can slow down, reconnect, and experience the landscape around you. Is The Warbler's Nest Your Kind of Place? You will probably love it here if you: • appreciate thoughtful design and handcrafted spaces • enjoy waking up to the natural surroundings of sunrise and birdsong • find peace around a campfire, under the stars, or soaking in a hot tub • want your accommodations to feel like part of your adventure • are seeking a space open to the elements • are comfortable being close to nature, including insects like ants, wasps, native honeybees, wood roaches, moths, and the occasional mouse under the cabinet (though I do my best to deter them!) This may not be the right fit if you: • prefer a traditional hotel experience • need air conditioning or fully climate-controlled accommodations • want four enclosed walls and complete separation from the outdoors • are uncomfortable around insects, hearing the occasional coyote or barking dog at night, or dislike inclement weather • prefer being within walking distance of restaurants and nightlife The Warbler's Nest is an open-air retreat. You may hear rain on the canvas, owls and coyotes after dark, birds at sunrise, insects in the evening, and the changing sounds of the seasons. You may also hear the sounds of our Appalachian neighbors - motorcycles, hunting rifles, and barking dogs are sometimes heard from across the holler. I assure you, it’s safe here and you will not be disturbed by any unexpected visitors. A Few Things to Note: The Warbler's Nest is located in Harmony Grove, an intentional neighborhood in Athens County that values peace, nature, and community. Our neighbors are quiet and peaceful folk, and they ask that you respect their space by keeping your volume low and your impact on the environment minimal. Quiet hours begin at 10:00 p.m. Also, please respect our neighbors and stay off surrounding woodland trails unless you have arranged a guided hike with your host. We share this place with two adorable cats named Jack and Oliver, and one friendly dog named Jasmine. They are part of life here, and we simply ask that you let them continue on their way. We hope your stay leaves you feeling rested, inspired, and a little more connected to the natural world. Guest access Your Arrival The Warbler's Nest has its own private driveway and clearly labeled signage to help guide you from the road to your retreat. The driveway extends all the way to the deck for easy unloading. The driveway is gravel with well-lit rope lights guiding you down. It’s a bit steep but manageable for most vehicles. Stacking multiple cars up the driveway is fine. If you need additional parking spaces, message me, and I’ll be sure to reserve space at the top to accommodate. Please park in the designated guest area. The upper driveway is reserved for the host. Other things to note Please note that this listing is seasonal due to the outdoor nature of the space. Availability will be from May to October only.
