You can drive right to the site. Site 1 is a 50 AMP full hookups campsite. This site is by itself, however site #3 will use the same access road and there is a storage cabin where the Wi-Fi, water and electric is sourced from. The cabin is not occupied, just storage. Great location close to town and the hiking trails. I arrived after dark and I'm not sure if I was in the correct spot as on night two someone else arrived and was staying in the cabin I was parked next to. With the lack of cell service I couldn't verify. But, the location was excellent. There was a porta potty nearby. The views were spectacular. I'd definitely come back, but I'd screenshot a map before arrival.

We had a great time at Jerry's cabin. It was clean when we arrived and the porta-potty was serviced while we were there. He was really quick to respond when we had an issue. We stayed in Hilltop Sunrise and it was quiet and cozy. The driveway is steep and a bit rough but he definitely warns you of that in the listing, so be aware. There is no cell service so we did get lost trying to navigate to the trails. The location is great in relation to popular trails; Ash cave, Cedar Falls, Old Mans Cave. We were about to run to Walmart in Logan about 15 minutes away for some groceries. The cabin had thoughtfully stocked kitchen items, clean beds, space heaters, and there was also an outdoor shower but we didn't use it. Don't miss the beautiful sunrises in the morning and stargazing on clear nights. Really a wonderful location to unplug and get away. Thanks for the beautiful stay!

Stayed at campsite 4 and everything was exactly as listed. As other reviews have mentioned, the port-o-potty was really clean. I didn't pre order any wood, but bundles were available for purchase as you came in. Roughly 15 min away from all the hikes and attractions of Hocking Hills making it a perfect location.

We camped at site 2, and definitely experienced a little more noise than expected! The site itself was nice but the trail to find it was confusing and partially blocked (the directions told us to stay along the road, ended up having to route through another campsite to get to our spot). It was really cool walking up to see (and NOT smell) cows every morning!

Stayed in site one with a rooftop tent. Clean and mostly level with a nice fire pit and trees in the back where I was able to hang up a hammock. Very little street noise. Host was easy to contact and communicate with. I've got Verizon and had no cell service in the surrounding area and only spotty service at my campsite so just be prepared. Bonus! If you're staying on a Friday or Saturday, the John Glenn Astronomy Park is a 20 minute drive and they do talks/stargazing around 7pm. (basically whenever it starts to get dark) It was super cool to start the night off there and then come back to camp for dinner and a fire while being able to actually identify some of the stars that we had a great view of!

Cool spot, we ended up switching to site #4, as it was a little more open and less overgrown. Friendly host, very flexible if you have any issues with the site.

Stayed at site 1. Great view of the sky from the hilltop in the morning, and space was fairly flat and wide open. Ground was mostly dirt with one small strip of grass on the edge. Larger tents may have to be placed on harder dirt area. Bathroom was close by and site was easily accessible with a midsized sedan. Overall the stay was really enjoyable!

We ended up with campsite 2, which was cute and very private at the edge of a forest of mature pines. The issues, however, are: 1) the large field where you have to park for site2 is unmowed. Guess what hides in high grass: ticks and chiggers?. In 2 days I got a bad case of chigger bites despite long pants and high socks the whole time. 2) There is no water source, no bathroom anywhere nearby and no picnic table. The table issue is not a big deal, but having no water pump for the whole place is not great. You have to be able to poop somewhere. 3) The nicest tent sites at the top of the hill are really not accessible unless you have a truck or at least 4-wheel drive, but the website never acknowledges this. I hope Jerry improves the road eventually so more travelers can get up the hill. It’s a beautiful piece of land with great potential.

Hard to find, make sure you get your map downloaded with instructions in advance. There is no service if you get confused once you're there. Pretty far from town and busy roads. It was exactly what we wanted. We even ended up at the wrong spot and the owner accommodated. I wish we had booked more than one night.

Hilltop Camping Cabins
We had the BEST time at the Fisher Family Retreat. During my last visit to HH, we rented an airbnb once from on a small farm and had a terrible experience. I have found my go-to spot in Hocking county. You can tell Jerry has put countless hours into the property. We started at the sunrise cabin. Incredible view for Peak season! We had no problem finding the property, and it was very clean when we arrived. Appreciated all the amenities, especially the wifi down at the the Hocking store which allowed us to navigate the Hills easily & safely without getting turned around (which is easy to do since data is so limited in the area). Beautiful night sky with no light pollution. small trails and a creek to wade in. Location was incredibly convenient to all the famous landmarks. In a one night stay we saw Cantwell, Rock House, The Buckeye Trail, Cedar Falls, and Ash Cave! Do NOT Skip this listing. I cant wait to come back and visit. Thanks again!

We stayed at Site 1: PROS: The camp site was available and easy to get too. It had a hiking trail attached. It was very easy to navigate the farm CONS: The store wasn’t open but we did utilize the self serve firewood They set off fireworks close enough to the camp we could here them and people screaming the road to get to the back campsites are gravel and can be hard to navigate unless you have a 4x4 vehicle.

It had potential the creek was cute, but the trail leading to the site was over grown and unable to access the site that way. We had to park in the Field and walk though the woods across a little creek. The grass was uncut and sort of high, we didn’t end up staying the night because the bugs were too much!

Unobstructed view of rolling hills and the stars popped at night. Hiking trail nearby, very clean portopotty down the hill, and great for us first time boondocking hipcampers! Our family had a great time and easy location to Hocking Hills/ ash cave (15-20min). Host was very quick to respond to any items. Cheers!

We stayed at site 4 and it was great! Privacy was perfect. We ran into the other campers on the hiking trail, but other than that we had a whole pine grove to ourselves. The port-a-potty was very clean, and the creek was nearby so we got our water from there (we brought a filter). Only issue we ran into were the ticks, so definitely do nightly tick checks and bring your high socks and shoes! Jerry was great - offered a lot of information and it was convenient to have the little store down the hill. Will camp here again next time!

Fairly private, shaded location. Horses came up to us to say hello, as did a friendly doggy visitor. Nice creek running nearby. Convenient proximity to Hocking Hills.

I don’t even know where to begin with this review because there were just so many things so I will try to focus on the most obvious and safety concerns. First off when you pull into the property you see the electrical lines coming off the road down to said “cabin” and all along the road the power line is hap hazardly draped over make shift poles and in some areas resting on old lawn mowers. So in addition to the scary electrical service running to the shelter there is no smoke detector or fire extinguisher inside the property. Plus the lights would flicker every time you turned them off or on which is obviously a danger given the questionable safety of the setup. We were only there for a total of about four hours and I had to plunge the toilet twice because it would not flush on its own. The railing going to the upstairs is hardly safe and definitely not up to any type of code as far as I can tell. The back door has a deadbolt lock that has very obviously been locked in and is unable to lock. The windows in the main living area are screwed shut, that’s weird. Then the driveway had tons and tons of glass in it which appeared to be windshield glass and didn’t look to be too old so again that’s weird. There were so so many things that were off or not right about this place that I could go on and on but bottom line this is not something I would ever recommend to anyone ever not even my own worst enemy. If you plan to enjoy a stay in hocking hills look elsewhere! Creepy place!

Overall, we had a great time camping for 3 nights here. The location of the property was perfect... 10-20 minutes to all the Hocking Hills trails. Unfortunately, there were some issues. The host wasn't as clear or communicative with us as I would have liked... we were unsure if we were camping in the right location on the property, I had asked a few questions before arrival which went unanswered. The listing said that water was available at the Store on-site, and it was closed the entire time. The drive up the hill to the campsites needs to be graded and graveled... there was light rain one night/morning which caused a lot of mud on the hill. I spoke w 3+ people over the course of that day who either got stuck or couldn't get up the hill when they were arriving for their cabin/camp stay. I don't remember anything on the site saying you needed 4wd for this HipCamp. Luckily, we have AWD but others struggled. It seems as if the listing needs to be updated with current maps/photos/info. Positives: The portapot was very clean! The host provided nice camp chairs at the site.

The property is beautiful. The road is a little rough, but they do tell you that in the description. They also had trash cans and porta-potties on site, which was a bonus. Nice and quiet. They did have little cabins on their property, too. Would love to know how to rent one of those out!

Hilltop Camping Cabins
Booked my stay on hipcamp and it was fast and easy. We had a long drive and when we arrived at our cabin everything was ready for us. Check in and out was very easy. Our stay was quiet and peaceful we will definitely stay again.
