First place I stayed at using the Hipcamp app and was not disappointed. The grounds were very well maintained and clean. The lakes were beautiful. It was very quiet and could barely hear any road traffic. I would definitely return

Loved the spot. Was a bit hard to find-GPS doesn't tell you that you have to turn right on Opposum Road again to find the entrance. Next issue is recognizing that this is RIGHT NEXT TO a traditional RV campground. Even the host's personal instructions were a bit unclear. If you go left at the second "fork," as directed, you end up in the campground. What they call a first fork I would call a 90 degree right turn. When we came in at 8 pm, the couple who came to greet us in a golf cart asked if we were looking for the campground and we respondeded yes, thinking they meant Hipcamp. Very confusing. Once you get there, it's beautiful.

Fishing wasn't great but we are not fishermen. We had fun trying though. Lots of space to do it. Our grandson said he had a really fun weekend with us. The boondocking was a great well kept area. Just would be nice if you could have fires by your camper. Overall very pleased and will be back.

The space was beautiful! Simple with a communal fire ring, picnic area and clean port-o-John. The area for campers was in an open field, and was quiet and secluded. We lucked out with a view of the full super moon over the lake! Slept like champs before we hit the road again. Easy off and on to expressway with our camper trailer. Thanks for sharing your peaceful space!

We found this site to be clean and fairly quite. The RV park is on the opposite side from boondocking. You can here traffic from the interstate but that didn't bother us. We used the firepit to cook dinner. However, it is a communal fire pit, not at our actual site. There wasn't any other boondocks at the time to worry about sharing the fire. A very nice shelter is on site next to the fire pit. The port-a-pot was clean, no lingering smells.

I came to the area for the Hamvention event in Xenia ....i am vurrently fitting out a self contained emergency communivations trailer that i will be deploting dlfor emergencied. I wanted someplace spacious and off grid to test out my trailer.....This place was perfext!

The view is to die for! Absolutely stunning, perfect for stars. We schedule our night during a meteor shower and it was a perfect view with glimpses of the milky way.
Besides fishing (weekend prices are little more expensive than I’d like but I get it) and a playground there isn’t much to do. Unless you’re a forager like us, tons of Camille for morning tea and ground cherries to snack on while you walk the site.
I highly recommend Sky Lake can’t wait for our next visit.
Wish they had bumper stickers to add to the collection and promote their land.

We had a very nice stay, the Boondocking site that we chose was beautiful, we had a great time trying our hands at fishing (which we are not very skilled at) This was a wonderful place to go for a quiet 30th anniversary weekend for my husband and I , the quiet atmosphere allowed us to switch gears from our very busy and fast paced lifestyle of working and racing dirt bikes with our family to relaxing lake side and enjoying the peaceful weekend!! I would recommend visiting and we are very likely to visit again in the future ❤️

The grounds were clean and it was quiet. Pretty views next to the lake. Also 5min from the truck stop in case you need something or forgot something like I did.

Huge amount of space by lakes to camp with any type of vehicle or tent. Very peaceful when we were there. Would definitely stay again if we find ourselves in the area. The only thing I could recommend would be slightly better signage on arrival. We were a bit confused but we’re helped very quickly by someone staying there.

Nice spot to camp for a couple of days, but I would have liked it if it was further away from the RV sites. Some maintenance of the lots was happening, but that was understandable given the time of the year and the need for the owners to prepare for their main clients (RV'ers).
