If you don't have a dog, this would be a great place to book! I loved the privacy of it, and the camper was cute and perfect for my needs. If you do have a dog, be warned, there are dog rules that are NOT on this listing that you will be welcomed with when you get there. The listing only states three rules, which are No Smoking, Quiet Hours from 10-8, and no jumping in the pool. Nothing says anything about the dogs in the listing other than that it is dog-friendly. Having undisclosed rules should be against HipCamp's policies. I was so disappointed because I had been on the road all day and arrived wanting to relax, only to discover rules that I had no idea about prior to arriving, which stated that my dogs weren't allowed on the bed or furniture. I happen to be a dog trainer and I hope the owners of this property update their listing because asking a dog who is trained and used to being on the bed to suddenly NOT be on the bed is impossible. I had to, after my long day of travel, run up to Walmart and get supplies to make my own bed, which was by far not a relaxing experience. I would have never booked this place if I knew my dogs weren't allowed on the furniture. They sleep with me every night, and to ask them to not sleep on the bed, which they are very, very used to doing, would have been an impossible feat. PLEASE do your future guests a favor and have those rules on this listing - don't surprise people with rules like that when they arrive.

I loved staying at Rustic Reteat! The property is beautiful and Ro wet was a generous host. I don't do the traditional tent camping but I stead have decked out my car for camping with a hatchback tent. Robert had a space for me to pull my car into and stay for the week. Since it was the "off season" I happened to be the only camper here, so it was very quiet. It was also provided an extension cord to be able to hook up my electric and stay comfortably during the last of the winter weather. I highly recommend staying here. The airstreams that are available to stay in look beautiful and are situated to give privacy for any camper.

Country Retreat Vintage Airstream
We booked 4 nights in one of their Airstreams. Nice set up but wasn’t as clean as we would have liked it to be. There were spider webs, candy behind cushions and mouse droppings throughout and we found mouse traps and packs and aunt traps that our 2 cats could have gotten into. The owner did come at our request and looked for any remaining traps and deterrents that we were concerned we may have missed and sealed off an area that they could have gotten into that was supposed to be inaccessible. We still felt we had to watch them every minute we were not outside with them. We were going to leave our cats to go to YellowSprings for my birthday dinner the last night but were told we were not allowed to leave them unattended so we checked out the 3rd day and did not stay the last night. No partial refund offered. No place to cook inside, only a grill outside. Port-a-potty could use a good spray wash as well. It’s a great concept but probably will not book again. Maybe the main house BnB would be a better option if you are the least bit squeamish. Not the relaxing mini vacation we were looking for, but could be a great place if these things would have been taken care of before our arrival.

This was such a cute spot! I only spent one night there while on a road trip, but it was really cozy/comfortable and I loved all the little details (indoor/outdoor lights, fire pit, snacks, clear info/instructions). The outdoor shower was much-needed for us folks on the road :) It was easy to find & Robert was a great communicator. Would definitely recommend!

What an experience to have been able to stay in a 1977 Airstream. A beautiful setup, the magical fairy lights, and care taken into the decorations. A very cozy private feel tucked away from the main house.

What a great setup! It was like our own personal retreat. This is the first time I have ever "glamped", but I was really impressed. Very comfortable bed, much appreciated air conditioning, awesome seating area, and the shower was great. Having our own gas grill made cooking dinner really easy, plus the camper was appointed with all the basic kitchen accessories you would need. I wasn't expecting to have all that, so I brought my own.

The Airstreams are charming! The pool is very clean and somewhat shady late in the afternoon.Beautiful deck and entertainment space.
The porta-john situation is the only negative, but Robert encouraged us to come inside the bed and breakfast to use the toilet facilities.
This is only an easy 20 minute drive to Yellow Springs, with lots of unique shops snd restaurants!

Overall everything was perfect! The owners are very nice, the property is beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed the swimming pool and then sitting out at the outdoor area by the camper. The Airstream was clean accommodating and so charming! And the outdoor shower was perfection! My only complaint was the port a potties, the smell was horrendous, I dreaded having to use them. I did tent camping on someones property in Virginia last month and they had 1 port o let and it was very well maintained, no signs of other peoples business. Truly though, that is my only complaint.

Place is nice and secluded from the main house. When at site you almost forget the house is there. The views are gorgeous and give the real camping experience. Wifi was a bit slow when we were there but nothing a good hotspot couldn’t fix. Pool was huge! And towels were provided for us which was amazing. Over all 10/10 experiences will come back again

My site felt totally private and secluded despite how small the campground is. Very thoughtful placement of campers and view blocks. The shower was a treat and plenty hot. There's a nice, big outdoor living space just outside the airstream, which is cute & tidy. I could've worked there for days; wifi is super speedy and anything you should need (and plenty of fun stuff to do) is just short trip away. Great spot!

Vintage Airstream trailer was a wonderful time! The host met me after the stay and was friendly , informative. The outdoor shower was right on point with temperature. The AC met our needs indoors, firepit added a great touch. Pool excellent after a 90 F day. Port-a-johns were unpleasant odor I wanted it to be changed over more often. The outdoor card playing table met our needs and my dad commented that the canvas above and sides provided privacy and sunblock. One of the guests was even kind enough to offer a small food offering, its that kind of place where people are friendly. Clean RV interior. 5 minutes from bike trail.

Our stay in the vintage airstream was great. We had been traveling across the country and camping so a stay in an airstream and a shower was very appreciated. We were very comfortable from the bed, to the indoor seating and the coffee in the morning was a nice touch.

So cozy and clean. Everything smells fresh in the trailer. And you really got the vintage felling. Outside is really nice too! You will feel safe and relaxed! Plus The host is very nice too.
If there is a restroom will be perfect, didn’t like the porta potty.

This property was delightful and Robert was an exceptional and communicative host! The camper had everything needed including a fire pit, grill, outdoor dining area, and a great outdoor shower. There were even carts available to help bring our things to the site and firewood for purchase.
We were unfortunately involved in a serious car accident during our journey to Ohio (thankfully not our fault and no one was injured!) and although we were able to get back on the road, the incident caused a significant delay in our travels as we arranged for a new rental car, etc. Robert was very understanding as I kept him informed of our ETA and he put us at ease, ensuring we could still check in despite our very late arrival. After a taxing day, this secluded oasis provided us with the perfect environment to relax and recuperate. We eased our aching muscles with a hot shower after getting a good night's sleep comfy bed, roomy enough for two. We are definitely hoping to return again in the future when we can spend more time enjoying this awesome spot!

We went on a quick Father's Day get away with our two kiddos. It was just what we needed and we had a great time. The pool was definitely a hit and we spent a lot of time in the water. The TV was a nice addition, as the kids were excited to watch a short amount of television before they went to sleep. We had everything we needed, and Robert did a great job communicating with us before and during our stay. The kids are already asking when we can go back.
I was pleased that there was a propane grill-- we brought hotdogs to cook over the fire but it was so hot that we ended up using the grill instead. Such a great amenity. My husband and I also enjoyed the game that was left in the airstream and played it after the kids were asleep. The bed was super comfy and the kids enjoyed each having their own little nook to sleep in.
Such a great, quick getaway to recharge and reconnect. Will definitely be back.
