This campsite by the water is a favorite for many, offering a peaceful and private retreat. Guests rave about the welcoming hosts, Bryan and Amanda, who go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. While the location is serene, the proximity to train tracks is noted, with some guests advising earplugs for light sleepers. Overall, the well-maintained grounds and access to outdoor activities like kayaking make it a top choice for a relaxing getaway.
We loved our stay at Site 1! We backed our truck and rooftop tent right up to the water, and it was incredibly peaceful. We had a kayak and firewood delivered right to our site, and they truly went above and beyond to make our stay great. We will definitely be back!
Really enjoyed having this campsite to stay in on our travels! Bryan & Amanda are very friendly and welcoming. Wish we had more time to enjoy the property!
The campsite was great! Very nice grass surface right on the river. There are two sites next to each other but a lot of room. I was the only one there and it was very private and peaceful. I would definitely go back.
This is one of the best camps sites I go to, it’s private, by the water & just perfect for a night getaway. I have stayed here twice & I’ll be staying again.
This spot was so beautiful and well maintained, the grass was short so we didn’t have to worry about ticks and the picnic table was clean. Host was nothing short of amazing, super helpful and very welcoming! We rented kayaks and took them early in the morning as the sun was rising and it was such a gorgeous view!! I don’t want to say the best part but one of the best parts were all the kitties around the office🥰 we definitely want to come back earlier in the season next year!!
Bryan was super friendly and the site was clean and secluded. Portable toilets. Great for kayaker's. The sites are about 200 feet from the railroad tracks and a crossing. The train whistle blows all night, bring ear plugs.
I had a wonderful time camping here! The campsite is nice and quiet; just a few feet from the river. Bryan and family were very welcoming; I enjoyed meeting their pet lizards! I highly recommend camping here.
Friendly host and nice campsites. Bryan made sure we knew a big storm was coming in. One thing to be aware of, the land is right by a very active train track and the trains always sound the coming through signal, so be prepared to hear that (long, long, short, long whistle) and trains a lot, including overnight.
Loved camping here for a weekend. Site 4 was totally private from the other campers, and we enjoyed the small pond and large area to ourselves. Nicely kept grounds and great owners. Do note that this site is right near an active train track that ran thru the night every so often, but we slept fine. We opted for the kayaking add-on and loved being able to walk 60sec, sign the waiver, and get on the water in a few minutes. They even offered to let us use it throughout the entire day! Porta pot was one of the cleanest I’ve seen. We also saw two adorable tan and white bunnies running around, I imagine were pets? Would come back!
I didn't know what to expect when booking this but I have to say it was perfect and I wish all my hipcamp experiences were like this. The site was very well kept, the host is probably my new best friend and I wish I didn't live 1000 miles away. I will be going back when I travel north again next year.
I have been to a lot of great campsites, this place is now on my short list. With only a few sites it has great pricacy. I prefer primitive sites where I can have a fire and water access for the kayaks. These grounds are very clean and have good river access. The hosts are friendly and real people.
The camp posts were very patient I was a new RV owner and I didn't know how to back up or anything like that so it actually took me a while to show app way beyond dark I was very very appreciative the layout at the campsite was amazing I had little mazes bunnies running around they were pretty neat highly recommended I will definitely be coming back I definitely want to bring my nephews going to have a blast.
Bryan and his family have a really cool place. The campsite was clean, secluded and right on the water. They have a super cool little store where you can get ice or rent kayaks and paddle boards. We will definitely be back!
Super helpful hosts! Family friendly place with goats to visit. If you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs there is train noise and light road noise. My campsite was number one right on the water and had some shade in afternoon. Porta potty and garbage provided to share with campsite two. It was semi-private. Campsite two was in the same field as campsite one. Thanks again for sharing your land!
We really enjoyed our stay at Bryan’s campground. The land is beautiful, secluded but still a quick drive to local attractions. Bryan and Amanda were extremely kind, helpful, and answered any questions. The train is close but we were able to sleep through the noise of it. I would highly recommend and we will be coming back!
Private, quiet(less the trains), great location for those who want to escape the "normal" camping experience. 10/10 have already recommended to friends who have also made reservations.
Such an awesome week! Bryan and Amanda were so kind and helpful. The site was beautiful, right on the river with access to a dock for fishing. It was very private and felt super safe. The kayaking was great, with views of bald eagles and a bar to dock at with awesome food and a good atmosphere. The town nearby has so much to do as well. I highly recommend this site!! If you don’t mind a rustic camping experience and an occasional train passing by, this is an awesome spot!
Bryan was friendly and communicated well. The porta potty was the cleanest and best smelling I have ever used...and that's saying a lot. The sites were well kept and had beautiful river views with many birds, rabbits and other nature. Swallowtails swooping and an eagle resting in the branches of a tree.
Bryan kept me updated on the inclement weather that was incoming, which I really appreciated.
