If you are looking to escape the busy and crowded state parks and commercial campgrounds this is the place for you. With only 4 tent sites you wont be overcrowded. Our camping is on the back of our property where we operate our kayak & canoe livery business, Portage River Paddling Company. You are a 5 minute walk from renting a kayak, stand up paddleboard, or canoe, gem mining, axe throwing, cornhole, giant jenga, goats, Gizmo the 150 lb Sulcata Tortoise and more! You can paddle around Judy Island to see a bald eagles nest or paddle to a little restaurant and grab a bite and a pint! Only registered campers are allowed in to the back of the property where the beautiful camping area is located. This campsite by the water is a favorite for many, offering a peaceful and private retreat. Guests rave about the welcoming hosts, Bryan and Amanda, who go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. While the location is serene, the proximity to train tracks is noted, with some guests advising earplugs for light sleepers. Overall, the well-maintained grounds and access to outdoor activities like kayaking make it a top choice for a relaxing getaway.

Camped in a 15 ft rooftop tent at Site 1 with kids, Sept 2026.

We loved our stay at Site 1! We backed our truck and rooftop tent right up to the water, and it was incredibly peaceful. We had a kayak and firewood delivered right to our site, and they truly went above and beyond to make our stay great. We will definitely be back!
