Patten Family Farm

· Troy, Ohio
100 acres
1 site
1 RV
The 100 acre farm has 75 tillable acres of soy beans and corn.  The fenced fields typically have 4 to 8 cows grazing.  There is a nice winding creek and its not unusual to see dear, heron, raccoons, ducks and an occasional skunk. There are nesting bald eagles in the area - which is a special treat if you see them they fly over. Learn more about this land: 2 night maximum stay. But message for exceptions. Best for overnight recharge and relax. Walking available on property. And 350 miles of paved bike path/Buckeye Trail is less than a mile away. Please only RV's, campers and trailers as there are no restroom facilities on the property for your use. There is water available if you need some in your tank. (Let's do that before you park see instructions below) But there is no water hook-up.  The 30 amp RV outlet is located by the light post between the house and the long barn. There is a dump station $ at Dave Arbogast RV Depot within 2 miles of the farm. As former full-timers we know the need for a place to stop for the night that's somewhere between a Walmart parking lot and a $$$ resort with amenities that we won't use in the 8-12 hours parked there.  That's what we offer, an outlet to plug in and a mostly peaceful environment (we are a working farm and cows do wake up early).  This spot is best for experienced RV'ers that can navigate the lay of the land for successful parking and do not need much assistance in making plans for the evening. Owners are on site, but busy with the farm.  It's nice to give us a heads up on arrival time so we can be available, but that is not guaranteed that we'll always be there when you arrive. If you'll need water in your tank please follow these instructions before you park: Pull your rig into the driveway and park even with the farmhouse garage. The water spigot and hose is on the back corner of the house on YOUR LEFT the DRIVER'S side. The hose is 100 feet, please re-roll when done. The RV outlet is behind the farm house near the light pole. Survey the lay of the land and park appropriately for your rig. There is some drainage damage that you'll want to avoid (you'll see it) but otherwise the ground is solid to turn around in etc. if it hasn't been raining for a week.  Best to park on the driveway if the ground is seriously saturated with rain or snow.

Overnight Farm Camp
Beautiful farm!
When we arrived a neighbor/friend of the host assisted with guiding us to the campsite. The driveway and campsite were very level and easily accommodated our 40’ fifth wheel and dually. Our overnight stay was very peaceful and we enjoyed how much space there was to walk the dogs. The 30 amp power worked perfectly.

Overnight Farm Camp
Everything we hoped for and more!
This was the greatest overnight stay!! We just needed a place to park along our route so we could get some rest, but the environment was so peaceful and beautifully maintained it felt more like a destination. Anita was friendly and welcoming and being able to see the cows was great! There was so much space for our kids & dogs to run after a long drive. It was a very relaxing evening before hitting the road again. We would definitely recommend! Also, it is not hard to find, so that is definitely a plus.

Overnight Farm Camp
Lovely spot overlooking the farm!
Very welcoming and wonderful host! Unfortunately, the weather didn’t allow for us to check out the swing by the river with our kids. Looked like such a sweet spot though! The cows were out and our girls loved seeing them! Very easy access from the interstate with 30 amp and we were able to fill up with some water before parking. Definitely recommend! Thanks again for having us 😊

Overnight Farm Camp
Perfect for the Overnight Stay
The Farm Camp was an amazing stay. Easy to find and close to I-75. Host was very friendly and very accommodating. When we arrived they ensured we had everything we needed and helped get water to the camper. There is not a dedicated water line but water is close to the site so you can fill your water tank for your stay. We got to visit the baby cows and the big cows, which was a nice treat. There is a short walk you can take out to the creek where we saw some deer and enjoyed the quiet farm setting. Another plus is there is a gas station that is very easy to fill up at while pulling the trailer. Anita has provided a great camp for the overnight traveler and I am sure I will be using it again in the future.
