Nestled along the scenic Wakatomika Creek in the NW Corner of Muskingum County, Oaklawn Land & Livestock is a multigenerational family farm with over 125 years of rich agricultural history. From unique historical landmarks, rolling pastures and fertile bottomland our farm offers travelers a genuine taste of country life. Your Hosts Tom, a lifelong livestock and crop farmer and his wife Sue, retired after 39 years teaching family & consumer science will love to show you around and answer your questions about the property and agriculture practices. We offer 1 RV site with electric and water that overlooks the bottomland and crop fields and multiple tent sites along the creek. Potable water is available at the farm. Whether you're drawn to the hum of tractors in the field, baling hay in the summer sun or the daily rhythms of feeding livestock, you're invited to join in, or simply take it all in. Our pastures are home to Purebred Charolais and Angus/Simmental cattle, a contract hog growing operation and free-range poultry which provide fresh eggs daily. We also cultivate soybeans, field corn and occasionally popcorn, which we're happy to share with you during your stay. Guests are welcome to pitch in with chores like feeding the animals, collecting eggs, and unloading hay, or just relax and soak up the peace and quiet of the countryside. Cast a line in the Wakatomika, hike our creekside trail and keep an eye out for our resident bald eagles soaring overhead. You may even catch a glimpse of an Amish neighbor's buggy passing by. Muskingum County is known for exceptional trophy deer and hunting opportunities are available for those interested. During your visit you'll have the chance to purchase farm-raised beef, fresh eggs, local honey, homemade soap, beeswax wraps and vanilla and even firewood for your campfire. Whether you're here to lend a hand or unwind under a star filled sky, Oaklawn offers a welcoming retreat with unforgettable sunrises, peaceful nights, and a true connection to the land. We'd even be honored to invite you for a homecooked meal and by the time you leave we hope you'll feel like part of our family! Take a short hike 700’ downstream to access the creek. This site is on a 2.5 mile in/out mowed trail that follows the creek the full length of our property.

Just downstream 1250’ of the Crawford Bridge and forgotten site of a once busy woolen mill, this campsite sits on the bank overlooking the creek cascading along a rock bottom. We loved camping on Tom’s land! Well, no one else was camping at the same time, it was very secluded, and we would not have noticed if they were. We were right by the creek and saw a bald eagle fly overhead. We also enjoyed seeing the cows move around across the road, and hearing the horse and buggy go by. Such a beautiful site with primitive camping, but also enjoyed cell service in case of emergency. We will definitely be back!!!

Buckeye Trees Site!

We had so much fun camping at the Buckeye Tree site!! Pretty secluded, the other sites are spread out perfectly and you can still explore the property. Most sites you can get to the river in or near. But if you have pups just be careful, you have to go down a little ravine to get in there. Either way they loved it and knew when it was okay to go down or not! They definitely enjoyed the trip the most 🥰 Tom and his Wife (and doggies) are so sweet, accommodating, and timely if we needed wood or something. The river was wonderful to have by and the shade was a plus on this site. All and all it is an amazing property to visit. We can’t wait to go back! Thanks for a great trip 🏕️

This property was exactly what I was looking for this weekend! The site was beautiful and not far from access to the creek that runs along it. Tom and his wife were very friendly and communicative and I intend on returning in the future!

Stayed at Wakatomika the last trip and buckeye bend this trip. Tom and his wife are absolutely wonderful as always. Buckeye bend is a bit more secluded (which we didn’t mind at all) buckeye also has a bit more water to float in, in the creek if that’s what you are looking for but even at wakatomika you can walk and find a decent deep spot to float in. We love both sites and the hospitality! Took one of our dogs this trip and I’ve never seen him so tired with all the running he did. We absolutely love this little hidden gem in Frazeysburg, it will forever be a favorite.

Great host! Great place to camp along the creek! Beautiful farm and surroundings! Me and my son had a great time fishing in the creek and taking in all the nature. We saw a bald eagle, canvas back duck, pink wood frog, baby soft shell turtle, and caught some fish! We had a great time getting a tour of the farm. Will definitely try to get back out here!

The views are immaculate. It’s definitely a little slice of heaven. Hummingbirds, eagles, deer,cows, ducks, fish so many species of different birds. Will definitely be back

We had the best time. Camp site was beautiful right next to the creek, pretty easy access, they had the easiest entrance for the creek marked. Exceptional hospitality, tom and his wife went over the top to make our stay. Took us on a tour offered everything we could ever need, answered all of our questions and even let our son lead a cow around! What an experience! We will absolutely be back. Hands down a favorite camping spot for us.

Beautiful spot. We had the perfect hammock spot right next to the water and the views were beautiful and the hosts were very polite and they had awesome firewood. 10/10 everything.
