Site could have been better and this is based on other camps with trails etc. Grass and weeds were 3' high so we didn't walk the trail. Fire pit half full. Picked up some trash, but left what was in the fire pit. It was like nobody has been to the property since last year and it's now almost July. It was not as private as we anticipated but to be fair, there was a photo of the camp and gate in the photos provided by the owner. There is little to no traffic on the road. We only stayed one of two nights.

I tent camped here for a night in march. The site is diverse with some trails to hike. I’d recommend 4 wheel drive to get there. 5/5 I would camp here again

Absolutely loved this spot. It was perfect for a quick getaway. We will Absolutely be booking here again
Good value spot for the area. Not much to do around the campsite. But lots of attractions nearby. Trails are impassible. So don’t count on hiking. Level spot is shaded late season. So if you need power you’ll need to move your rig around.

My stay at Hocking Hills Private RV Camp was exactly what was needed. Remote, yes. Cell service, yep, most of the time (T-Mobile). The rest was just space, trails, and a fire ring. Private RV parking about ,7 miles down a very lightly traveled gravel road. Take it easy. Bring what you need to relax and soak-in some nature. I won't hesitate to come back.

We had a really good time at Emily’s spot. It was very relaxing and is placed in a beautiful area. Lots of things to do around the site if you drive around. Camping spot was nice and they also have a small trail.

You want a back country experience? This is the spot for you - still has cell phone service to send texts / calls with limited internet. Beautiful homes and lots of nature to soak in. Will 100% be back for another stay!

Grass not cut, trail not useable. Overgrown grass and weeds. Owner has great communication but we booked for 2 days. Only stayed one. Not maintained. Did receive a 20 dollar credit. We wanted to love the place according to the pictures and reviews online.

We loved it ,It was very private and quiet ground. It was a large area so we had plenty of room to park our travel trailer. We was inside the fence that lock.It's not far from hocking Hills . Emily was great, I message her when we got there and she replied quickly to all my questions. I highly recommend staying here.

Quiet and mostly private site. A couple vehicles went by on the road, and once somebody was briefly at the property next to the site. Beautiful sunrise over the trees in the morning but also needed to position my van in the right spot to block the sun in the afternoon. Would stay again.

I arrived in the Hocking Hills area late in the evening. Towing a small camper, I was reluctant to drive down an unmarked gravel road, potentially getting into a position I couldn't turn around from. Although directions gave a landmark, the sign for a cabin mentioned wasn't visible. The "township road" (no sign) might have been the gravel road I wasn't prepared to venture down. No Wifi available to message through the Hipcamp app. I'm disappointed to have missed out on 2 nights camping at a tranquil rural property, but found a different campground (KOA) the next morning.

The campsite was perfect! The hiking trails are a little steep but nice for a little workout. The nights are quiet and the stars are bright. Also everything you might need isn't too far. I will definitely recommend to my friends!
Beautiful private area, if peace and quiet is your thing this provides plenty! Directions were precise, grateful for the pics of signage as that helped tremendously. Only suggestion would be to make the ‘hiking trail’ hike able, Too much overgrowth to hike. Will consider returning for the starry nights and peace!

Hocking Hills Private RV Camp
We loved this space. We put our little 18’ trailer on this pretty property for a couple Hocking Hills hiking days. 11 acres in a beautiful spot, perfect for having our Sr. Dog with us.
The spot is in sight of the county road that we took in, but we only saw a couple of cars the entire stay.
We never took full advantage of the property hiking trails, as we were up early and home late, focusing on the park trails. The little we did walk was beautiful, hilly, and takes you deep into wooded areas, rustic to the extent had we gone much further, the proper tick preventive attire would have been suggested. It’s a horrible year for them here in Michigan, too. Next trip back we’ll be better prepared.
We had a most wonderful evening just 5 minutes away, at La Petit Chevalier winery. A lovely back porch, overlooking fields of grapes, and grazing sheep, my bride and I grabbed one of the many games scattered about the winery, a couple of flights, and spent a couple hours resting sore legs, sipping wine, eating charcuterie, and laughing and having fun like it was our first date, nearly 40 years ago.
The nicest part about this spot is its location. No matter where you stay in Hocking Hills, there is driving involved. None of the most popular sites are any more than a half hour away, and many, only minutes.
Emily was always quick with her communication, and our instructions to find the place were clear and concise. We’d love to stay here again.

This was a great spot for us. It is on top of a hill so it is great for star gazing, we got to see the Auroras!! It does get windy so don't forget the tie downs for the awnings. The trails are steep but it is nice to be able to walk the whole property, just don't for get the tick spray. Thanks Emily!!

Great location close to Hocking Hills State Park. Really enjoyed the quiet private location and the hiking trails. Saw an owl flying in the woods! Hosts were very easy to communicate with and provided great directions and helpful information before our stay.
Emily was super easy to work with, gave excellent and clear directions to the property in advance, responsive to all questions. Due to weather we were forced to alter our reservation. Emily was very accomodating. Highly recommend! I chose Emily's camping space because we didnt want to have to chain up our dog after being on leash all day in the state parks and a place we could toss his ball for him so he could run a little too!

Great secluded location within easy driving distance of Hocking Hills trails.
The whole road is new development, and it's a large-grade gravel road that's not packed tightly and has some serious grades - BE WARNED. So in the listing there's an offhand mention, but then when the host sends the PDF with details, it includes a better warning:
"We also highly recommend 4 wheel or all wheel drive especially in the winter. There are a lot of super hilly roads, roads that are not well maintained or plowed regularly, and many gravel roads so be prepared for this."
I will say that my 2WD truck was able to get our trailer to the site, but it definitely required some use of speed/momentum, and there was quite a bit of slipping and sliding on the loose gravel. The 2WD car we had didn't have any problem at all and was able to go nice and slow, but just be aware if you're towing.
The camping site itself has some gravel as well to make some solid ground, and that was a huge savior since we went on a very rainy weekend, but had no issues with traction thanks to the gravel.
Overall, this is a nice site, and will likely only get better. For example, other sites on the road have power, and a little more leveling will make it great. The fire ring was nice, and so is the on-site trail for a nice leisurely hike.

We loved camping at Emily’s place. It was so peaceful and quiet. Plenty of shade and nice trails
This was our very first family camping trip in a tent. The location was great and close to Hocking Hills. It was secluded and quiet. Emily was very responsive and helpful from the start. Since this was a brand new site, she made sure that I was aware of the fact that there was no trash service set up yet or any toilets or fire pit. Emily and her husband ended up adding a fire pit in before we arrived, which was so amazing because we definitely wanted to roast s'mores with the kiddos. Our boys, 3 & 5, had an amazing time and loved the open space. I am glad we brought a tarp, because for tent camping it was definitely needed due to the weeds and rocks/gravel. Thanks Emily!!
