Located on 66 acres of rolling farmland and wooded country side. Near Yellow Springs, Cedarville College, John Bryan State Park, Clifton Gorge, and centrally located near Dayton, Springfield, and Columbus. Enjoy your morning coffee along with a beautiful view of Ohio farmland and the sounds of nature. This is a working farm. We grow forage crops (alfalfa, clover, grass hay), raise Correinte cattle and bison (the bison are located at a remote farm), and manage and selectively harvest timber. Guests may explore the farm, bird watch, enjoy catch-and-release fishing in a private one-acre pond, or sit by the fire. The Ohio to Erie Trail is 1/4” mile from the farm entrance. We raise forage crops (clover, alfalfa, grass hay), walnuts, and American Bison. This is a back-in, level site on crushed stone. The pad is 18’ x 60’. We provide 50 Amp power and a 50’ extension cord. There is fire pit with cooking grate and outdoor tables and chairs. The farm is 10 miles from Yellow Springs, OH. Enjoy a day of hiking in John Bryan State Park or Clifton Gorge, riding bicycles on the Miami-Erie Trail, fishing in our pond (catch and release), exploring the farm, or simply relaxing. We also operate “Green Plains Cabin”. Green Plains Cabin is a well appointed, restored log cabin. Contact us about bundling the cabin with the RV site for a larger family gathering. Dimensions of the entrance from the County highway are included in the photo sections. Please refer to the photos before booking larger Class A Motor Homes.

Less than 30 amps. We provide a 50’, 50 Amp extension cord. We recommend you bring a 20' extension cord and a 50 Amp to 30 Amp adapter if your camper doesn't support 50 Amps 120 V is also available. You’ll need to bring a 75’ extension cord

On-property hookup. There is a spigot by the barns with hoses to refill your water tanks

There is a dump station at John Bryan State Park near Yellow Springs. In the event you use a portable potty or a "camp loo", we respectfully request that you take the waste bags home with you. We may add a composting station at a future date.

Buckeye Bison's all-natural Bison Burgers will make your next cookout or BBQ dinner a hit! Our 1/3 lb. pre-formed burgers are rich in flavor, lean and so delicious. Try them and see if they aren’t the best burgers you’ve ever had!

Firewood bundlegood

Start your trip off right with a bundle of firewood waiting for you at your camp for your first campfire. Your first bundle is free. We cut all the hardwood from our farm. The majority is cherry with small amounts of walnut. Great for cooking. Please don't bring firewood onto the property. We suggest you bring fire starter sticks to make your fire starting experience easier.

We had an awesome time at Green Plains Bison Ranch! Beautiful setting and just 15 min from Yellow Springs. It's quiet, peaceful, and a perfect place to bring your dogs and relax with the best view. We will definitely be back. You can fill your water tank and they have electric too.

Gorgeous property & bike trails

Gorgeous, peaceful property with easy access to Yellow Springs for hiking and biking adventures. The property is close to the Ohio Erie bike trail which can also connect to the Little Miami trail. Stunning. And you can't beat the buffalo burgers for the perfect campfire dinner!

This place was great. Quiet. Pond for fishing. A herd of Corriente cattle graze close by on the property. The Bison were not available when we went. The road the farm is on is not busy so it is safe to go for a morning jog. Glen was welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. We enjoyed talking to him. There is a town nearby called Yellow Springs. Our favorite spot!

This is our third time staying here - twice at the cabin on the property and now once in the RV site. Green Plains has become our go-to stop when driving through Ohio. Such a beautiful property. Yellow Springs is such a cool town nearby. Highly recommend!

Glen’s property was beautiful! He has roaming bison and cattle just a field away from the RV site. Glen helped us with an initial electric hookup issue and we were thankful to then have a cooled RV on a hot August afternoon. At dusk we sat out and watched a Mama deer and her two fawn drink and play next to the nearby pond as we ate delicious bison burgers for dinner. Highly recommend Glen for your next HipCamp outing!

Great experience, beautiful scenery, and privacy, couldn't have asked for a better spot to spend my birthday. Best bison I've ever had, the burgers, brats, and hot dogs were all great, buy them all, can't wait for steaks to be back in stock. Host, Glen, was a super cool down to earth dude, I'd probably go back just to talk cars and farm life with the guys for a few hours.

Wonderful Camping on a Bison Farm

Glen's land was a treasure trove of peaceful serenity, great views, and easily accessible amenities. We loved our stay and watching the bison roam the gorgeous hills was quite the treat. Highly recommend the add ons of bison burgers (grass fed and grass finished) and firewood. Both were top-notch and enhanced our stay. Glen stopped by for a short and sweet visit which was an added bonus. Absolutely recommend a stay here if you're passing through the area or need somewhere to stay for a nearby day trip to Columbus, Dublin, or Springfield.

Peaceful countryside

We spent a wonderful 4 days at the ranch. Beautiful countryside, quiet and peaceful. The site was nice and large and level. Glen wasn't going to be able to meet us when we arrived, but he gave us detailed directions to get there, get water and electric hooked up. We messaged him to let him know we were all settled in and he still made sure to stop by later to meet us and see if there was anything we needed. If you are concerned about the pillers at the entrance our 40' motorhome made the turn no problem at all. There are some great sites, state parks and hiking nearby. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area!

We loved the beauty and privacy of the Bison Ranch! The rolling hills, the stocked fishpond and Glen's medical skills were top notch. We enjoyed the grassy countryside, the firepit and DELICIOUS bison burgers during our stay! We will be back! The teenagers even had fun!

We LOVED camping at Green Plains Bison Ranch. The land was neatly kept, Glen was an awesome host, and it was so cool seeing the bison up close (but not too close). We have two younger kids and there was plenty of land for them to run around and play and a pond for them to fish at! The set up was perfect for a camper. There was a fire-pit and picnic table right next to the hook up, which is very convenient. We ended up buying some bison burgers, and they were excellent. We will for sure be back to camp at this kid and pet friendly spot.

Wonderful experience. The host Glenn greeted us warmly upon arrival. We arranged to purchase some bison burgers and firewood and ended up buying more. The site is beautiful and tranquil, the views are amazing and there is something extraordinary and humbling to camp near the bison. It is a little ironic to eat a bison burger (the best I believe I've ever had) while looking at the friends and family of your dinner. We really appreciated Glenn's attention to detail and instructions on how to navigate the entrance and what to do once we arrived.

Beautiful property with a private campsite on a pond. Deer come through the cornfield to drink...bison roam the fenced acreage 100 yards away...close to town but far enough away for privacy. Second time here and will return! PS - bison burgers are great
