Farm Stay Tent Camping
Alan and Chris were the perfect hosts. The land was exactly what we were looking for, including the interactions with chickens and sheep on the farm. I would highly recommend this site for any family trips. When you book, definitely order the breakfast add-on too. Thank you again, Alan and Chris!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Flannel Dog Farms. Alan and Chris were exceptional hosts. Chris’s breakfasts were an amazing plus and great way to start the day. We spent the days exploring local wineries and their site was super close.

This was our second camping trip to Flannel Dog Farm and it is still a gem. The atmosphere is so relaxing due to all the beautiful sounds of nature - birds singing, frogs in the ponds croaking, chickens and sheep doing their thing. We love being there and are big fans of the sour dough bread and breakfast add-ons (highly recommend!). Plus, hosts Alan and Chris are just awesome people. Look forward to return trips in the future!

Farm Stay Tent Camping
I loved tent camping on Alan and Chris’s land! They have done an incredible job of preserving the lands natural beauty and have created a very special environment. Their homestead flawlessly coexists with the natural landscape and offers a very comfortable campground with everything we needed. The breakfast and coffee were also delicious! Flannel Dog Farm was exactly what we needed this weekend and we’re already looking forward to camping there again in the future.

Couldn’t even begin to describe how soil healing my short trip here was! Their land was beautiful! Their hospitality was so genuinely amazing! Their sheep and chicken were so amazing to be around! Can’t wait to come back!

Overall we had a great experience, the little blue cabin had a nice comfortable bed to rest our heads and the welcome gift of fresh cookies was delicious! Heavy rains the week leading up to our stay made the fire pit area quite muddy so we didn't get to enjoy that in the evening as we didn't want to have a muddy dog :) We sat on the front porch of the cabin and although some traffic from the street the birds provided a nice serenade for the night.

Blue Cabin in the Woods
Super private space, Alan & Chris let us know ahead of time that it was going to muddy so that we were prepared. We able to make dinner on the fire and thankfully the rain stayed away. Outhouse is super accessible to the cabin as well.

We had a wonderful time at flannel Dog Farm campsite. We tent camped and the site was very comfortable, and beautiful. Alan and Chris are very accommodating camp hosts. The location is quiet and a quick drive to the lake. We loved our stay!

This was my second stay at Alan & Chris’s farm. Just as enjoyable as the first time, plus enjoyed their new sheep addition. The farm is well cared for and such a nice oasis after a long day of driving. I hope to stop by again on another cross country trip in our van. Love the yoga deck. Enjoyed our dinner by the campfire and had a peaceful night’s sleep. What more could you ask for.

Upon arrival to their farm, The host were readily available to greet you. They had cute little chickens running around and goats. Their homemade bread and charcuterie board was delicious . I’d highly recommend purchasing some of their add ons. Our dog was very happy with their homemade treats and enjoyed watching the chickens roaming around. Great layout and having a clean bathroom was a plus. Their farm is next to the lake and easily accessible to winery’s around the area. Would gladly stay there again.

It is a very tranquil site. Alan and Chris were most helpful.
Very hospitable to us as novice campers along with Hazel our Golden Retriever.
The farm is very close to many interesting areas as well as to Lake Erie.
Would definitely recommend and would stay again

Peace Portal Tiny House
This was such a fantastic place. Alan & Chris are so welcoming and truly enjoy sharing their little slice of heaven with others. Breakfast and snacks were fabulous. Our Dogs got to enjoy nature outside of our busy schedules and close neighbors. We will definitely be back to visit.

Loved our stay at the Peace Portal! A beautiful place to be in a summer thunderstorm. We loved the coffee, breakfast, sourdough, and charcuterie! Alan and Chris were gracious hosts and went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed for our overnight stay.

Great spot in the meadow with an amazing view of the stars. Very welcoming and loved the sheep and chickens! Big fire pit and lots of benches to sit. Glad we stayed here to go Geneva on the Lake, as it was very close to the strip.

This place is lovely! Chris and Alan really seem to love having people enjoy their farm and it was a perfect spot for a short getaway.
I think the benefit is just having a welcoming nature escape, and it felt really safe and homey. The ducks are hilarious, and the stars at night are insane…
Had a great day just by grabbing a sando at Hil-Mak Seafood Market ( fried perch, made to order) reading on the beach, and junk shopping at Fat Sally’s Flea. A twist cone at Frosty Harbor on a hot day is pretty perfect. I passed one of those farm stands with an honesty box, and got somma the best peaches I’ve had this summer.
Things to note: The chickens are part of the charming character of the place, but yeah they kinda are loud. So maybe ear plugs if you don’t wanna wake up super early.
The wagon is a fun camp out, just remember you are camping out. I needed my warm sleeping bag, cause the nights can get pretty cold even in summer.
All this kinda stuff is all what makes this place a unique change from our norm. And heck don’t we need a change sometimes. I’m so so happy I got to stay here.

This stay was fantastic! Alan and his wife were sublime. The farm is beautifully maintained and the sounds of chickens and sheep added to the serenity of the evening. Access to a full bathroom with running warm water was a blessing, but the nearer by compost toilet was clean and usable. The homemade breakfast was delightful and coffee delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed a short walk down the road to the lake Erie.

Close your eyes and imagine traveling to a place where you are seeking peace and quiet in the middle of a beautiful farm with wild flowers, fresh out of the oven sourdough bread, the best farm fresh eggs, incredible dog treats for your dog, the sweetest songs of birds, and the nicest hosts you will ever meet.
