He was very polite and extremely helpful in telling us where to park to have the best experience. Beautiful land!

Private River and secluded camping
The given address in the listing information was odd and GPS didn’t take me directly to the property. I sent 3 messages to the host who never answered any of them. The property was very difficult to find. When I arrived, there wasn’t a soul around - I just found a spot to park and left in the morning. I still haven’t heard from the host

Nice spot - Just Needs a few things
Let’s start with the good : Nice riverside spot to camp , I wouldn’t want to have slept without a cot because the ground is very uneven , but this wasn’t an issue for us. The animals were fun to visit. Chickens, turkeys, Sky the horse, sheep and goats were all fun for my 7 year old daughter to visit. The not so great : Needs signage as to where to check in. I followed the directions as best I could from the listing and was greeted by the (correct) gate by some tatted up guy with a gun on his hip. He wasn’t helpful or nice in the slightest. He told me “he didn’t know anything about camping there”. I boogied out of there and the hosts spouse greeted me after my second lap around the house after getting away from pistol Pete, the host Erik was not there the entire day. There are no fire spots or rings. She did bring us out firewood around 8pm. Their porta potty was washed away at some point in a flood. There were no bathroom accommodations, she was nice and did apologize multiple times for this. I feel they should updated the listing to reflect this until the issue is fixed. The price is high in my opinion for the experience we had. Mine was 45 plus 12 for wood. $67 after fees a lot. With a few small upgrades this place could be awesome.

Secluded space for boating/camping
I stayed a single night with my four-year-old on her first camping trip. We were greeted by the host when we arrived. The area was completely devoid of other campers (major plus in my opinion) and we found a small firepit, parked near it, and set up camp. There are no set camping spaces, so we just found a spot with flat(ish) ground and stayed there. A bit later, the host delivered the wood we had purchased as part of the booking, since we forgot to ask him for it when we checked in. There is a small porta potty on the grounds, a spigot with potable water near the entrance and small, stone beach to launch boats. It seems like it would be perfect for people looking to boat around on the Scioto River and have a place to camp when they are done. The beach is all river rock, as you would expect for a boat launch, so bring a pair of water shoes if you want to wade in the water and a foldable chair to set on if you want to be down by the water. Overall, it was a great time and really affordable!

GREAT experience ! HIGHLY suggest
One of my favorite hip camps, very secluded yet not far from tings you need and not even far from the city, BEAUTIFUL area great host, very friendly and down to earth and right on the river! Jump.in for a swim but it's a no go with any rain. Highly recommend

Private River and secluded camping
The ground was uneven, there were no dedicated places for a fire, there was a lot of trash on the river bank, and it did not give a sense of privacy. It was an open field with no trees to obstruct the view of other campers. They also said that they would lock the gates at 10 pm and I do not like the idea of being locked in. Also, expect a lot of noise from the nearby highway. I may have been more willing to overlook these things but we paid $60 for a night of camping for two people and it was not a good value. The high additional fee per person seems unreasonable as well.
