Cabin · Sleeps 2Join us for a relaxing farm stay at Birdhouse Farm! We are a 35 acre farm start-up located in the rolling Appalachian foothills of Albany, Ohio. Though our farm is private and wooded, we are a short 10-15 minute drive from Ohio University and the lovely city of Athens, where guests will find breweries, arts, music, and many opportunities for outdoor recreation.
Our mid-1800's farm is situated on 35 mostly wooded acres, featuring a stocked pond suitable for fishing and swimming, goats, chickens, and several mowed and maintained hiking trails. All campsites are equipped with a fire ring, level tent sites, one bundle of complimentary firewood, and a welcome basket of products from our farm and local businesses that we love.
Did we mention that one half of our farm team is a professional chef? For an additional fee, guests can order a farm-fresh breakfast and a French press of locally-roasted coffee delivered to their fireside. Additional farm-to-table meal options are available for special occasions!
We at Birdhouse Farm strive to provide an inclusive, safe and welcoming space for all genders, orientations, and people of color.
Campsites: Pond Side - A large, level site just below our pond, Pond Side features a fire ring, picnic table, sites for up to three tents, shade/hammock trees, and comfortable proximity to the outhouse. The cabin itself has a full-sized, comfortable bed, linens, and solar lights. There is a large flat lawn area adjacent to the site for picnics and yard games. This site is an easy 10 minute walk from parking and private. Due to the coziness of the cabin, it is priced for two adults (or one adult and one child), additional guests are welcome to stay in tents on the site.
