Located in the middle of Wayne National Forest and surrounded by the Baileys Trail System. Local attractions include Hocking Hills, Ohio University and many other Southeastern Ohio treasures. We purchased this beautiful piece of property in 2016 to be used primarily as a family hunting camp. Over the years we have continued to improve the land and make it a cozy get-a-way. The land host abundant wildlife and amazing views. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Secluded weekend away

Amazing, secluded spot. Owners and property manager are all incredibly kind. We will, without a doubt, be returning. Couldn’t have asked for a better campsite.

We had a wonderful time at Ross's campsite! The ridge top spot was beautiful and secluded, and Ross was an amazing host. We enjoyed mountain biking and Hocking Hills while there. We can't wait to visit again!

Ridge top camping at Bailey's Base

Bailey's Base Camp was an absolute AWESOME experience for intermediate hikers and campers. They offer ridge top campsites that we stayed in late July of 2024 and it was stunning! There is a massive uphill battle to get to the site but they offer an awesome shuttle service to get your gear to the top for you, however shower houses and toilets are located at the bottom of the mountain and an awful steep hike up and down from your site. Our host was Keith who had no issues what so ever shuttling us to the top if he was around when we needed it! Keith was absolutely fantastic our entire stay, and was very accommodating. I will say that when we were there the campsite appeared to have a frustrated beehive in the area, and it was basically swarming with bees, Keith went out of his way to treat the site for insects and bees while we were gone hiking for the day! I will say that this site is VERY primitive and I recommend experienced hikers and campers for it, but if you're up for a real stay in nature this is it!!! Bees and all we loved it.

Awesome Time

We had a great time as a family of four (kids ages 3 and 5) in our ridge top campsite. Awesome wood and well maintained site right next to the Bailey Trail System.

Baileys Basecamp is an amazing property. We really enjoyed our 2 night stay. Super close to baileys trail system. Which was perfect. We will definitely be back!
