I loved camping at dead colt recreation area sight N . It is a very peaceful place and large enough for a group of desired. My grand daughters had plenty of room to play badminton, soccer, Frisbee, . They enjoyed the beach close by with swimming. They also had plenty of room for their own tent which was fun for all. Listen to the birds, watch people fish or fish for yourself . Great place.

The tent sight location was perfect , very large and had plenty of room for a 6-8 person tent. Had a great view from the sight of the lake and bathrooms were clean and had a shower access. Camp host was awesome and very helpful. Had a great visit. Plan to go again soon in June.

#3 site was nice enough, out in open with nice view to East but I would have been right next to another camper (not unusual). The campground was not very full so I switched to #11. Nice back in site with trees on both side. Was only there for a quick overnight so Dead Colt fit my needs just fine.
The host answered my messages fairly quickly and I would definitely book here again. I would assume it would be quite busy on a weekend. I was there in a Wednesday and very quiet .

Without a doubt absolutely stunning views!! CLEAN bathrooms and showers!! No check in just find your site and relax. Only draw back was we got a back in only site with hook ups on opposite side. With firepit being anchored down and us not being prepared and having an extension cord, the firepit lined up right at base of steps. Definitely more of a commercial feel style camping (in and out) but beautiful! The CLEANEST bathroom/shower house I have seen thus far!

It was a cute little spot. I prefer camping away from others but this was a great last minute trip. There was a cute creek through the campground separating the tents from RV sites. Lots of trails to hike.

The Dead Colt Creek recreation area is a hidden gem in the middle of beautiful rolling farm land hills. Nice sandy beach area that is raked. Play equipment in a couple areas for the kids, softball fields, volleyball area, and nice paved launching area for boats!

The campground has a beautiful view of the lake and it's quiet. It was nice to see law enforcement come through a few times during our stay.
