This was our first experience with a Hipcamp and we really enjoyed it! This is a lovely site and we had privacy but didn’t feel completely isolated. Large space, nice view and pretty trees made it a beautiful autumn adventure. Eric was very helpful and we were happy he delivered wood for us. We also really loved the location with lots of things to do in the area. We will definitely recommend this site to others!

A nice place to stay

Overall, we had a great experience and really enjoyed the view of the nearby mountains. The site of deer in the evening was a real treat. However, the music from the beer tap down the block and the constant roaring of motorcycles up and down the highway 221 until seven or eight at night made this day… Interesting. Biggest drawback was the fact that each one of the sewer connections was about 4 to 6 inches too high for your average B class RV. Most sites I’ve stayed at the sewer connection is actually lower than ground level in a bit of a depression in the ground. We stayed at sight #1. Fortunately everyone had left so we had to go to each site and finally realized that we could get enough clearance to dump at site #4 however if we were to come there in the future and find the other sites occupied we’d really be in a pickle. Another thing to mention is when you enter the site you really have to gun it to make it to the top of the hill where the sites are located because it’s a noticeable incline and you’re on gravel, that is very depressed in areas and we barely made it to the top. Would we go there again? The short answer is yes because it is a beautiful site, but I would be concerned in the future about making sure I got enough speed to get up the hill to the sites and what I was gonna do with my waste water when I was ready to connect or dump. I think if you’re in a trailer, there’s no issues because typically the black water connections are a lot higher off the ground.

Fantastic RV site. 100% would recommend Has all the hookups in a very convenient spot Very nice view and site #1 is the most private on the property. Owners were very nice and easy to communicate with. Great location close to Linville Falls and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Site #4 Forest View

Beautiful and quiet property close to Linville Falls. Eric was incredibly helpful in lending a hand and providing hiking recommendations. My favorite site is #1 as it is away from the other four sites and has the best views. Site #4 was very level and easy to get in and out of.

Convenient location very close to the blue ridge parkway and Eric was super helpful and kind — we needed an extension cable and hose to avoid having to park our camper on a slope and he kindly offered to bring us some.

We really enjoyed this site. Site #1 was is definitely the best. Big, feels like secluded and has a great view! Site 2 & 3 are right across from each other and site 4 isn’t too far off. Still way better than a regular campground and we were the only ones there so it was REALLY nice and quiet! Kids LOVED IT. Eric was very helpful and we bought firewood and got so much we barely made a dent in it. Great place to sit outside in the quiet and enjoy a morning coffee in the morning & enjoy the stars at night.

Wiseman Ridge RV Camp is an absolute dream. The views are breathtaking, panoramic mountain landscapes and peaceful surroundings that make for the perfect escape. So welcoming and accommodating, they even delivered a last minute firewood order right to our site upon arrival. Perfect spot with amazing views

Wow! What a wonderful spot! We were the only campers on the property and it felt like a little slice of heaven. The Mountain View’s were gorgeous and the property was pristine. We can’t wait to come back. I highly recommend this camp spot to anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing getaway! Eric even delivered us firewood upon arrival.

Amazing campground! Very private and beautiful views. We have a 27ft trailer, so I will say the gravel road up to the campground was a little intimidating at first, but we did make it up and down without any issues, definitely used 4 wheel drive, and you should be fine! Easy access to lot of things to do in the area, and the camp host was very easy to contact! Highly recommend!

Private and secluded. Full hookups were a nice treat with the family. There was a fifth wheel parked at aite 4 I believe. Our camper is 24' long and I wouldnt recommend anything over 35' for site #1. The topography slopes off a little once you get off the gravel. We will be back. Thank yall for having us!

Beautiful Views near Linville Falls

We loved our RV spot (#1) on Wiseman Ridge! It was very spacious and had beautiful views. There was a picnic table and awesome fire pit. Plenty of room to explore! Easy to park and hook up. Eric was kind enough to meet us at the beginning of our stay to show us up the road and make sure we had everything we needed. Thank you so much, we hope to be back!

Perfect location to explore the local area. Adjacent to the Blue Ridge Parkway and minutes from Linville Falls. Easy trip to Grandfather Mountain and Roan Mountain. All of these areas were great to visit, however, coming back home to Wiseman's Ridge was easily accessible with perfect hookups. Eric stopped by to check in on us which was a nice touch in the event we needed anything. Maybe higher in cost than other places...but you get what you pay for. My wife and I had a great time!

Wiseman’s Ridge is amazing! We only stayed one night but Eric was very helpful and welcoming. The site is super close to Linville gorge and falls. Beautiful views, very clean, great WiFi, and everything else you need. We will definitely be back.

This was our first “hipcamping” experience, so – understandably – we were a little nervous. The size of the campground and our site (Site #4) proved just right, the location – closer to Linville Falls than Newland – was fantastic, and the amenities of the campground proved ideal for campers like us, looking for privacy, peace and quiet. Eric is truly a “star host.” We arrived late and his personal assistance was of immense help. Thank You, Eric! Of note, the driveway to the top of the ridge is steep with a tight curve that may prove challenging for a big rig (we have a 29’ Class C). I recommend including instructions for those towing a “toad,” to uncouple at the bottom flat before proceeding to the site. Finally, proximity to HWY 221 means that occasionally traffic noise – particularly heavy trucks using their air brakes on HWY 221 – intrudes on the solitude of the place. Overall, a “goldilocks” experience! Highly recommended!

Staying at Wisseman Ridge Boutique RV Park Site #1 was an absolute delight! Nestled on the ridgetop with expansive views of the Hawksbill, Table Rock, and Humpback Mountains, this boutique campground offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The five sites are generously spaced out, providing ample room for your RV and plenty of space to enjoy the great outdoors. Site #1 is the most private of them all. We also lucked out because we were the only ones there 4 of the 5 days we camped. Each site comes with full hookups, including water, septic, and power access. The WiFi connection is reliable, allowing you to stay connected without compromising on the tranquility of nature. After a long day outdoors, we were able to relax and stream TV with no issues. Eric, the host, was incredibly helpful and attentive, making sure that our stay was as enjoyable as possible. He provided clear directions to the Blue Ridge Parkway and ensured that we had everything we needed for a memorable camping experience. The location is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, with easy access to Linville Gorge and multiple trailheads. Clean site with easy access!

Very clean, well maintained site. Site #4 has good shade a small grassy area with a fire pit. There was plenty of room to walk my dog. Eric's directions were perfect and the site is easy to access. There is some road noise from 221, so ear plugs may be needed if you want to sleep with the windows open. Easy access to Linville and Blowing Rock. Tin Trout has good food!
