Property was as described and provided a restful spot where we felt our camper was quite secure when we left periodically for section hiking the AT and a quiet spot to camp when we were "in".

Absolutely beautiful campsite — well-lit, clean, and cozy with a great fire pit. The creek was wonderful to sit by, and the open sky made for incredible stargazing. Perfect spot to unwind and soak in nature.

Wonderful, private and so serene. Easy access for a 2WD, great hosts and has everything you may need. There's an electric outlet in the tent that is so helpful if you need to charge your phone!

Camping with the love of my life

Very nice and quiet spot in the middle of nature. Has a beautiful creek that runs through the middle of everything and sounds so serene. The cabin we stayed at was the bloom and it was a very cozy and quaint, full furnishing including microwave, fridge, A/C / heat, and even running water. The bathhouses were super cool and very rustic with hot water. Would definitely recommend as a stay or stopping through

I love this spot! It was very peaceful out on the land.. The owner was very kind and helpful. I would recommend like a caddy or something to put toiletries in while taking a shower. Also, when you take a shower, you do have to hold the handle down. I wasn’t unable to keep the water continually running while taking a shower. Regardless, I would come back.

I loved The Bloom! Quaint quiet little cottage a little walk down a lovely mossy green magical path filled with berries, flowers, and all sorts of trees and wildlife. If you are a nature lover you will love The Bloom. I stayed for 14 days. My dog and I stayed warm and dry with all the rain during May. The drive in and out is pasturesque and safely cobbled. No nerve wracking steep drives. Plenty of walking areas and views at the top of the hill. I will come back in July when the berries are ripe, and I think in autumn would be a wonderful time to stay with all the activities they do such as a hay ride and wheat mazes. June is a lovely host. They also have wine tastings once a month. They have the west tubing company store out on the main road, great place to visit for refreshments and snacks, and to browse.

We had an amazing time this weekend! June W. is an amazing host. If you haven't stayed or went tubing here, I 1000% recommend. The tubing is calm enough for younger children, but fun enough to keep everyone coming back for more. We loved the fact that the tubes had bottoms. After floating down the river I recommend stopping into the antique store to look around and grab a bite to eat. We stayed in 'The Bloom' cabin, but she offers one more and pioneer camping. She's also have tents along the river to stay in that is perfect for that 'getting back to nature' experience. Our babies favorite part was the wheat maze. 1-4 levels of twist and turns. We will be back! Thank you again June for a rememberable and pleasent weekend.

Was a really good experience. Between tubing, the open area for kids to just run and play and the fire pit areas with the grills. We will definitely be coming back.

This was a great spot to stargaze. Big open sky, right by the flowing water that gently lulls you to sleep at night. Lots of trails on property to walk. Lovely peaceful grounds well maintained. I stayed here 2 weeks, splitting my time between open sky camping as weather permitted, and their Bloom cabin as weather turned. I will be returning to visit again :) June is a gem.

Awesome property and spot. Friendly and responsive host. Site was flat and easy to get to thanks to her written instructions. Also had restroom access and a power plug for charging phones etc. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing a spot in the area.

What a beautiful place. The room was decorated in a very cozy way, really appreciated how comfy we felt there. The land is amazing--bathroom is a short walk away but very well lit. Planning on making this a repeat place to visit. Thanks June!!

Peaceful Escape

The Briar is so cute and I had everything I needed to camp on a rainy weekend. The rain on the roof was hypnotic. Definitely an option when nature doesn’t cooperate with camping plans.

Sweet little hut

The Briar @ Blackberry Hill is a cute, cozy little place to relax and enjoy peace and quiet! We had a few minor issues but Jane was friendly and was willing to correct them quickly. Make sure to read Jane's private message within the Hipcamp app to find the full directions to the building. Hip camp didn't notify me that I had a message and we got a little lost trying to find the location. Also, for the air condioner be sure to use the fan setting. Jane left us a nice little basket of goodies and a sweet note. I also recommend to visit the outfitters tubing location for live music and wonderful hamburgers!

Quick Getaway

The Briar Cabin was perfect for our spur of the moment getaway. We love to camp so we are used to bath houses and outhouses and roughing it, but sometimes don’t want to have to drag all the things that go along with camping and also like a roof and a little A/C. The Briar gave us the best of both worlds. The grounds were pretty. Loved the little walking paths cut through the meadows. And being close to the creek was very relaxing. We sat on the porch each morning and evening listening to the water. We would definitely love to come back!

June's property was beautiful and well kept. The bath house is very clean. My dog loved splashing in the creek and river and there is a mowed walking path for morning strolls. Would highly recommend!

Saw so many beautiful birds, an eel?, butterflies, fish and had a little creek to cool off in. What more could I ask for? So quiet and serene. Cleanest porta potty I have ever had the privilege of using. All in all a great first hip camp experience. Thank you so much!

FALLing in love at The Briar.

Another great time at the West Preserve property. This time we booked The Briar cottage for the week. The cabin was clean and well kept and had everything we needed--- sink, small fridge/freezer, counter area, and Keurig coffee pot. Beautifully furnished and a comfy bed. The property was nicely decorated for the fall and the colorful trees and sounds of the creek only added to the ambiance. West Tubing company runs off of the property and also has events on the property or at their headquarters up the road--- check their schedule on the their website/Facebook. We also enjoyed the close proximity to Murphy and local wineries. 10/10 we will be back.

Great, secluded spot! Site #6 is especially private as it’s at the end of the trail. Fall asleep to the sounds of the creek after relaxing by the water.
