The land was beautiful! My husband and I stayed here while we were attending a wedding near Weaverville. We felt like we were in the middle of no where yet we were able to get ubers with no problem.

The site was super clean and had an incredible shower that got very hot and was very relaxing. Biodegradable soap was provided at the time we visited, which was a lovely addition. Thanks for letting us stay with you!

Camping here by the creek was the exact respite I didn't even know I needed. While here, I spent the day in silence watching the creek go by and witnessed many wonderful wild beings, including a family of newborn ducks with their mama, a wood turtle, owls, a box turtle, many adorable squirrels, and of course the bees. I did a session in the healing apiary house and really enjoyed it. I left feeling uplifted and clear. There were also many fascinating plants growing along the creek including Solomon's seal, box elder, walnut, and tulip poplar trees, boneset, Cardinal flower and many more, I could go on.
While I usually go for campsites that are more excluded, this site was actually really nice because of the hot water to shower and a place to use the bathroom, which made it easier for me to rest and recover in between long travel days. Even though the house was behind my setup, I didn't even mind because it was so quiet, and the creek drew me in. This site would be absolutely perfect for those who are new to camping and not wanting to be so excluded, but also great for those who, like me, are traveling and need a delightful place to rest.
The hosts Mary and Dan were very kind and invited me to come back anytime! I definitely will.

Overall, we enjoyed camping at the creek side and the convenience of the lovely town of Weaverville (to access WiFi and replenish some snack foods). However, being pretty close to the residential road way was a bit disappointing.

Mary and Dan’s place is super cool, it really feels like your camping by yourself and the amenities were great. Instant hot water shower was an absolute life changer and a porta potty was clean and seem to be well serviced

I enjoyed my time. I wanted to be away from the crowd but as close to Weaverville as possible while having easy access to Asheville and beyond. I set up my one man tent on a beautiful spot by the Creek.
Beaver Lake was a find at Woodfin as well as a day trip to Black Mountain. A wonderful couple of days.

Loved our spot! We chose to set up about 150 yards from the car down the creek which was more private (farther from clean porta potty and shower) shower is awesome! Dan is so helpful and welcoming too. The site is about 10 mins to town and 30 mins from Biltmore. Definitely recommend.

Mary and Dan were very helpful and responsive before and upon arriving. Their setup is not only accommodating, but peaceful and just what we needed. Recommend this spot for a serene creekside getaway from the city.

Trout Lily Creekside Camp was perfect for our weekend adventure. Dan was a great host- he introduced himself, and then was off to graciously share his property! There are a few sites to choose from and we were situated on the creek bend flanked by trees and a gorgeous large river rock. It felt completely private. My son and I waded through the creek to the waterfall dam, caught trout, observed wildlife, and slept to a rippling creek right outside the tent. Weaverville offered a great, local coffee shop (Yellow Mug and a much needed warm dinner at the Twisted Laurel.) A perfect blend of campfire cooking and small mountain town exploration. Dan and Mary's description of the property is 100 % accurate and the items that they have highlighted that COULD be undesirable to some were non issues for us! Our attention was on the creek, hillside swing, and fishing- I am normally bothered by even the slightest peep from civilization while camping but their descriptions of outside noises were not an issue. Our nights were quiet, the days peaceful, and we know we will go back! As it rained we played disc golf in the field, had access to plenty of dry firewood, and the trees provided a break from the mountain storms. A+++ adventure! I'm grateful that Dan and Mary are generous and have chosen to share their slice of mountain paradise! Thank you both! Oh and lets face it, at my age I enjoyed the warm outdoor shower a couple times more than my outdoorsy self wants to admit! Extra thank you!

Great tent camping! We set up our tent right by the creek underneath the big tree. You are just down the hill from their house, but we felt private and enjoyed the time. The firepit was ready for use, the babbling creek was lovely, and the host Dan was very kind and helpful. Firewood was $10, and there was a nearby grill, outdoor seating and table, a portapotty across the field, and a shower up the hill. Took a second to figure out how the shower worked, but it was simple enough. We were able to drive up to where we set up camp, though we stayed on the gravel after it had rained all day on the last day. Dan also let us stay past check out so the rain could pass before we packed up. Thank you for the great stay!

We had a great time camping at Mary and Dan's! Their property was beautiful, with a lovely river running through it. We decided to pitch our tent in the more wooded area down the river, which worked great for us. The outdoor shower they have is AMAZING!!! It was so warm and easy to use, and it was divine in the rain. Dan was friendly.
Woodpile was convenient, and there was plenty of space for several campsites around the field.

Great little spot right outside of Weaverville. Which is an awesome small town. Also very close to Asheville. Reams creek, shade, sun, Frisbee golf, corn hole and clean Porta Potty a big plus. Outdoor propane shower was nice to have. Finally a campfire next to a stream what more do you need? Book it.

Mary and Dan’s campground is a peaceful, creekside getaway…still very close to Asheville! And a short drive to the Blue Ridge Mountains. The site is big and the Porta was clean. Perfect for what we needed. Dan came out to greet us and made sure we were all set for our stay. Thanks!

I had the absolute pleasure of spending five idyllic days at this camping site.
From the moment I stepped foot on the grounds, I was enchanted by the surrounding serenity. The camping site was nestled in a peaceful area which provided a lush setting away from the bustling city noise. It was just the perfect blend of tranquility and wilderness to reconnect with nature.
One of the highlights of my stay was the beautiful creek that ran alongside the campground. The soothing sounds of the bubbling water seemed like a constant serenade by nature itself. The creek added an element of calm to the surroundings and provided excellent walking paths for exploring during the day.

We enjoyed our stay at Trout Creek! My group opted to hike our gear further down the creek rather than camp in the big field. This gave our group of 4 some privacy and the feel of having our own little slice of nature. The trees provided a ton of shade and the creek was a delight to hear from our tents. It rained mostly so we did not have a fire but firewood was available to purchase. The shower was a very nice touch with adjustable temp and good pressure. The porto was clean with TP. Dan was accommodating when our group of 2 became a group of 4 last minute. Communication was fast and easy and Dan was reachable when needed. Thank you for everything Dan!

The camp site was easy to find and the stay included everything that was listed. We were also VERY close to downtown Weaverville, which was nice. Unfortunately, we were also very close to the owner's house and a road so it wasn't quite as camp-y as we were hoping.
The owner also came down to greet us and although he was kind enough, it was a bit odd and made it very apparent that we were camping in his yard and not in a private bubble of our own.

Quiet, pleasant stay at Mary and Dan’s place. There is a creek running past to dip your toes into. I didn’t get to meet the dogs, but I also did not have to hear them barking. The directions were clear, the land was clean and lovely. 10/10 recommend.

Surprisingly for a holiday weekend, we were the only ones on the campground area which was rather delightful. Although you are camping in their backyard, they make it very private so you don’t realize there’s a house on the hill. Even with them having three friendly sweet dogs, we barely saw them! The landscaping was maintained well all the way down to the creek bed so it was feasible to get in and out. Dan has put in some time to make it comfortable with hammocks, tables, chairs, grills, and more! Our favorite was the outdoor shower… we want to build one now! We loved the proximity to Asheville, but Weaverville is a quaint little town on its own. Great hosts and perfect location… very beautiful and would recommend to anyone!

We had a wonderful time. The whole space and
the creek was lovely. It was a great for birding. Everything from fire pit, tables, chairs, and outdoor shower was really nice and comfortable. The hosts were wonderful and friendly. They even helped with some small issues I had with my camper. It is super convenient to Asheville and close to hiking trails. It was easy to find, yet it’s quiet and private. We will be back.
