Easy to get to, close enough to Morganton to run in for dinner and completely private and secluded. This is one of my favorite Hipcamps in NC. There is marginal cell signal at the site but none for the last 20 minutes of your drive in so download any maps or check in instructions you might need.

Beautiful site! The running water was clutch, and the outhouse was clean and a very nice touch! Private spot with plenty to explore. Heads up—cows are there in the winter and pigs spring and summer. Creek is a bit of a hike and I would recommend getting directions before you get there. We didn’t find the river access but we will definitely be back to find it, hopefully when we can see some animals too!

The directions to the land were clear and easy to follow. Accessing the land was a breeze, easy to come and go and we explored and ate at some of the really nice places in the area. The site was as described. Platform, that was really nice because of all the rain we had over the weekend. It kept us off the ground and dry. The power was nice to charge battery’s and such. Bathroom on site, pit toilet. Overall it was a great place to slow down and relax.

Had an absolutely wonderful stay until the weather tried to evict me on my last day! 😅 Be careful on the driveway if it's wet and make sure you screenshot your directions about 20 minutes before arriving because you will most likely lose service but thankfully there's service at the site itself. I will definitely be back to this gorgeous site and Edward was super responsive and helpful!

Lovely site. The isolation was wonderful. Ground is definitely sloped and uneven, so make sure to bring appropriate footwear. No running water when we were there due to Helene. A heads up would've been nice. Otherwise, a delightful spot to unplug and unwind.

Totally disappointed, I didn't get to spend more time there. Peace and quiet, and just down right beautiful. The well pump was broken, bit water was provided. Didn't get to meet Edward, but his farm helper Doug was very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful spot! Felt very safe and clean. Campsite was well equipped in case you forget some essentials. There are farm roads to walk around and explore, so you will have plenty to do during the day. The farm dog hung out with us all day on Saturday and showed us around the property, it was so cute! 10/10 would recommend and there is a high chance we will be back.

Absolutely beautiful spot. Farm staff is polite and helpful but not at all intrusive. Campsite came equipped with a super sweet farm dog that popped by for daily visits (and bacon and butt scratches). Would absolutely come back. Close to tons of great hiking spots.

We had an awesome time camping here! The site was super private and had tons of room for the dog to run around! The land is very secure and the trails on the property are well paved. Definitely suggest checking out their land. It’s cool! The site was well equipped with a fire pit, table and a few chairs. The fire pit was set up to host a grill grate which was awesome for cooking. The outhouse was super clean as well.
With Linville Gorge, Pisgah National Forest and the BRPW all within a short distance we were away for a good part of the day but were sure make it back to the site in time to catch a sunset over Table Rock!! It was incredible. The cows are super close to the site and are also so cute to look at.

Nice secluded camping spot. I loved that the owners provided extra camping stuff (table, chairs, hammock) in case you forgot anything and they even provided plenty of firewood!

This property is a perfect mix of secluded yet accessible. It is a 15 minute drive into Morganton if you want to get out and do some dining, yet you won't see another person for your whole stay( other than farm hands tending to stock once a day). It is so well equipped you could show up with a tent,sleeping bag and food and you would be fine. There are a lot of activities to do right on the farm as well as several adjoining area trails for hiking. This was our first stay with Edward and we will definitely be back. You wont be disappointed with this property!

This site was beyond perfect. The platform worked very well for our large tent. The outhouse was phenomenal. We used the fire pit for warmth, and for cooking, and it served its purpose well. There were extra hammocks, tents, and a table in the outhouse if we needed them. The grounds were very quiet & peaceful, we weren’t bothered at all by the workings of the farm during our stay. The trails are a little hard to navigate & didn’t really know where they lead until before we left. We walked & walked and didn’t find much, but the views were still pretty great. We also got to witness the Brown Mountain Lights, which were definitely the highlight of our trip. Absolutely no complaints, and we would most definitely stay here again.

Great location in the mountains with a beautiful view. Very kind host and farm staff. We also really enjoyed going into Morganton and exploring the surrounding area for the many great parks and hikes. Highly recommend Steele creek park close to the farm and the meadows in Morganton.

My Family and I stayed at Edwards land for 3 nights and it was a very great experience, the Table Rock Mountain is such a stunning view from the camp site. Firewood is ready to use and the out house is really convinient, cute and its clean. We walked around and see the animals, river and historical Rock House. We didnt worry about mosquitoes because it is so windy during our stay. All in all, we all had so much fun! We are definitely coming back soon. ⛺🩵

I stayed here with my family (6 of us total, with kids from ages 0 to 14) in April 2024 for Spring Break. We loved it! The wind was brutal, but I think that is to be expected for this spot. Our tent is massive so it would not fit on the platform; we moved (with owner's permission) the table and chairs to pitch on a level spot and it worked out well.
The outhouse is fantastic. Truly the fanciest, cleanest, best smelling (NEVER an odor at all) outhouse I have ever experienced. The firepit / grill is awesome. We cooked on it everyday. I would only suggest adding 1 or 2 more levels of blocks to the firepit so as to better block the aforementioned wind. Always plenty of firewood.
With the high winds, showering was challenging. We have a camping shower bag that uses the sun to heat the water, but the wind made it hard to place tarps, etc. for privacy. Maybe eventually they will add a pop-out on the side of the outhouse for an outdoor shower area. Not needed but would be awesome.
There is no map or guidebook, which would have been helpful. That being said, I asked one of the hands for directions to the waters and he pointed me in the right direction. The rivers on the property are huge and could be used for rafting, tubing, kayaking, or any other non-motorized water sports. The land is beautiful and a pleasure to walk / hike. We never left the property and had a wonderful time. We would love to come back in the summer so that we can do the tubing and other water activities!

My family of 3 enjoyed our stay here at the Table Rock Sanctuary. The view was so beautiful. It was also nice that in the bathroom area there was a table that we borrowed during our stay! There is a table and chairs in the fire pit area but we use the other table for our cooking setup. Also, for people/ families looking for hiking opportunities right up the road is Harper Creek falls and that’s a cool place to explore. The Table Rock hiking is about an hour away but it’s an easy, beautiful drive. And it’s pretty cool to hike up the mountain that you’re admiring at the campsite! Would definitely come to this peaceful sanctuary again.

Wonderful site that was completely quiet and private! Great views of Table Rock and tons of hiking directly around the site! I suv camped there and everything was as described. Tons of firewood available, pots and pans and a clean outhouse.
I only wish the ground was just a bit more level, but other than that, perfection! Stayed for 2 nights but wanted to stay more to explore the property!

This is a beautiful spot. The platform is great for level sleeping. Edward (Pride) has the best firewood. I camp solo so I felt safe and peaceful. The hiking on the land and in the surrounding area was great.

The Sanctuary at RockHouse Farm
We had great weather and a great time at Rock House Farm. We loved the views, the trails and the extra amenities like water, electricity and a nice outhouse. There is not much in the way of level ground at the site, hence the large tent platform. Our son put up his tent there and we parked our tiny camper where we could level it. While our small camper was manageable, anything larger would be hard to get onto the site. Campervans would have no problem. We brought a large folding table to cook on but also found one stored in the outhouse. Like others have said, it is a working farm, so the occasional tractor driveby. And visits from a couple of really sweet farm dogs. A hike to the Rock House is a MUST! As there are more trails there to explore that we didn't get to, we will be back! Many thanks to our host Edward.
