This cabin sits on 5.5 acres along the Wilson Creek Wild and Scenic River system within the Grandfather Mountain District of Pisgah National Forest. It is one of the region’s most scenic fly-fishing escapes. Just minutes away, you'll find endless hiking trails, swimming holes, hidden waterfalls, the Brown Mountain OHV Trail System, and scenic overlooks. Within an hour's drive are Linville Gorge, Linville Falls, Blowing Rock, and several wineries. Our secluded, handcrafted retreat offers the best of mountain adventure along with the peaceful privacy travelers crave. Lovingly hand-crafted and nestled like a treehouse, this cabin sits on 5.5 acres and is reached by a natural pathway with sturdy, man-made steps guiding you up to a wraparound porch. From here, every direction is a postcard! Immerse yourself in nature and make yourself at home while you cook on the BBQ grill, unwind on the porch, and take in the glow from the solo stove. The fire logs are free! Inside, the bright open-concept layout creates an inviting space designed for simplicity, warmth and connection. Thoughtful rustic details make the space feel homey, and large sliding door windows bring the beauty of nature indoors. A plush queen-size bed set under a ceiling of lanterns is accompanied with linens, creating a snug retreat at the end of a long day. A dimmable lamp with USB charging ports and AC outlet sits bedside, ideal for curling up with a good book. The modest kitchenette provides you with everything you need for making easy meals a breeze, offering convenience with a fridge, microwave, toaster, and electric single burner, while including cookware, serve ware and additional essentials. A tea and coffee station is provided. The two-way coffee machine is compatible with pods and grounds, plus you will find an electric kettle for boiling water. A portable (hot and cold) water dispenser is supplied plus a water basin and disposable dish cloths for handling dirty dishes. A stocked private 1/2 bathroom sits just five steps up from the main space and is accompanied with an incinerating toilet. Our cabin does not have running water! Instead, a filtered sink and 3/5-gallon jugs of water is supplied for light washing. While the cabin maintains its unplugged, nature-first atmosphere, you’ll still enjoy the convenience of Wi-Fi and Internet during your stay. A perfect basecamp for every kind of traveler

Firewood provided. There is a solo stove on the deck for guests to use. Must use the fire logs provided. Do not bring your own firewood.

On leash. The porch deck is not fully fenced in and there are trails behind the cabin. Do not let your pets off leash when outdoors.

Pump or well, bottled water or jugs. The sink operates from a pump connected to the portable water station. Water is of limited supply and should only be on when using. We do supply 5-gallon jugs for use during your stay.
