What a view!

Tellurian is a small quiet campground. We enjoyed a peaceful weekend with an incredible view of the surrounding mountains. The owners were friendly and available if needed. There is a bathhouse with a men's and women's bathrooms with showers. The campground is a short walk to the river...which in November is nice to see but I would think in the summer it is great for swimming. There was plenty of room for our dog to run...and did I mention the views?

Beautiful long view and Fall Colors

Beautiful location near South Mountains State Park. The location was easy to find and easy to park the camper. The sites are long and spacious. Everything is well kept. The bathhouse was a nice amenity and very clean. There were two separate bathrooms each with a shower. The campground was very quiet. The perfect place to visit to see Fall colors!

This was our second stay at this beautiful property, and we already know we’ll be back again! We’ve stayed at sites one and two this time around with family, and the views from each are absolutely breathtaking. The campsites are peaceful, private, and perfect for relaxing by the fire after a day of exploring. Our kids especially loved spending time at the river, with the cooler weather this time, it made for such a fun experience. We even brought magnets and discovered some rocks that were magnetized, which turned into an unexpected little science adventure! Jud and Amanda are incredible hosts. Their communication is top-notch, from clear directions and check-in information to thoughtful messages while you’re there, making sure everything is perfect. They truly go above and beyond to make your stay smooth and enjoyable. We can’t say enough great things about this place. It’s the perfect mix of peace, adventure, and stunning scenery, our family favorite that we’ll continue returning to for years to come.

View of South Mountain State Park

Wonderful view of South Mountain State Park as well as the night sky. If you are looking to spend time at South Mountain, Morganton or any of the surrounding towns this is a great location. Small campground with a handful of sites which is perfect for those of us who seek out solitude. No issues with the Full hookups. Worked perfectly.

Used this wonderful campground as a parents getaway! 100% recommend! Jud was super friendly and responsive. Great walk to the rivers and stunning views. Just be sure to follow his provided directions, not your GPS. Happy camping!

Scenic Camping Spot!

Beautiful, peaceful campground in Casar, NC! Gorgeous mountain views from the sites and easy access to a river. The bathhouse was spotless and the porch at the top of the hill has an amazing view. Wildflowers around the campground were beautiful. Jud, the owner, was friendly and very helpful with tips about the river and best views. Highly recommend for a quiet, scenic getaway!

We really enjoyed tent camping here! Facilities were clean and convenient. Plot was beautiful. Jud was a fabulous host! He was available for questions and showed us around the land, even making sure we found the perfect sunset viewing spot. Would recommend this campsite to anyone!

Great Time and Beautiful Views

We loved our stay here! Beautiful and peaceful surroundings, the views were awesome. Even though we didn’t need the bathhouse it was super clean and air conditioned. The access to the river was an added bonus. We will definitely be back in the warmer months.! Thanks Jud for giving us a tour of the property and sharing the best sunset spot!

We really enjoyed the tranquility of the camp. There was a bathroom with a separate showers. Views were amazing. Please please follow the directions from the website. I set mine for the post office originally on the GPS then went from there what was written on the site. Enjoy.

Beautiful sunsets

We enjoyed the solitude and the views! Spending time on the river, taking photos of the waterfalls and sipping on a beer in the afternoon was delightful! The property is large and it’s not far to the river, I walked down several times and took our truck a couple of times too. Not far from Charlotte, it is a great get away. The sites are not really shady, so check the forecast!

Amazing views, easy access sites. The bath house was a very nice bonus, great river access! Gracious amd welcoming hosts, firewood available on site. Host's son even provided ribs for dinner one evening as part of a scout fundraiser.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Jud and Amanda's! Jud was very responsive and informative before and after our arrival. The site was mostly level with a nice view of the mountains out of our back window. Easy access to the river and close to Smith Mountain State Park for some nice hiking. We'd definitely recommend hiking or driving up to the ridge on the property for an amazing panoramic sunset!

Great views, level camp sites, easy access to the river for cooling off on a hot day. Very tranquil and peaceful. Watch a thunderstorm roll in over the mountains and valley. Bath house and restrooms were clean. Water/sewer and utility hooks up were great. Nice fire pits to enjoy an evening fire. Great access South Mountain State Park.
