Our Spa is now available for booking! We are a constantly evolving location. Our goal is to provide a genuine secluded camping experience immersed in nature in a mountainous forest with privacy and well spaced out, secluded camp sites. We also have minimal light pollution, so our skies are beautiful for viewing the stars. We offer trails through natural wooded habitat with hidden gems of nature. Wildlife viewing throughout. There are feed locations to increase viewing opportunities. A creek on the property is lovely for walking. Centered between Charlotte and Asheville we are within your reach! We offer primitive tent camping, Glamping Tents and a Cabin. Glamping and cabin have a private Mountain View, fire pit area, Queen bed, Night Stand (built in phone charger), Desk area, interior and exterior lighting, heater and fan (powered by solar system). As a part of Starlight Hills Campground you have access to filtered drinking water, common overlook (w/ BBQ pits & picnic tables), trails, bathroom and showers. Welcome to bring all your furry family members ❤️. Please Note: 2 Wheel Dr. vehicles can access all of our sites. Gravel/ Dirt road up hill.

We had an incredible time at this campsite! It was the perfect place to celebrate a birthday with friends and family. The views of the mountains were absolutely breathtaking, and the proximity to the grills made it so easy to cook and enjoy meals together. This has quickly become our favorite campground, and we look forward to coming back. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a beautiful, well-maintained, and peaceful camping experience

Site 3 - Starlight Hills Campground
We booked site 3, but ended up staying at site 6 because of construction going on. William did message and tell me about it over a week before our trip and then let us pick a different site in arrival. We were not lucky enough to get any clear nights to see stars and the weather caused us to bail on night 2, but it is so peaceful definitely not a typical campground feel. It feels very secluded, like back country camping, but with showers and your car! I wish there was a map up so you know what you're getting into when choosing a site. Sites 1-4 are closest to the porta potties and showers. We stayed at 6 and the walk was maybe 5-7 minutes, but down a hill (and then back up). 4 year old did it multiple times with no problems. Sites 7-10 get farther away, but are even more nestled in the woods. The overlook area is beautiful. Charcoal grills only so bring your own if you want to use them. Bonfire pits at the sites themselves do not have cooking grates which was fine, but might be helpful to know. Overall, we loved the vibe and William was very helpful. We will definitely be back.

Great for group camping
Could easily fit up to 4 (single or two person) tents on site and not feel smothered on top of one another. Should bring chairs though. The logs can get a little uncomfortable after a while. Great site for groups of 8 though.

Tiny House Glamping Mountain View
The location was really nice and semi close to other campsites where if there are multiple groups, we can walk over to join the campfire. The view is great and there are some logs to sit on if you did not bring chairs.

Site 2 - Starlight Hills Campground
Daniel greeted us as we pulled up and showed us the ropes, which was nice. The campsite was easy to find and very clean. The amenities were very clean as well. The overlook was gorgeous and the whole site was beautiful. I would camp there again.

Site 5 - Starlight Hills Campground
Had never been there previously. The site did not have any level area for tent camping. Thumbs down.
