Magical Camp Site
Campsite is gorgeous and plenty of accommodations for a good time. Good energy, beautiful art, love was clearly put into developing this site. Easy to find and load in/out. A friendly cat was roaming around and climbing on our tent/cuddling up, so be mindful of any supplies you wouldn’t want claws touching.

Great place for kids and a dog!
Was a very easy place to camp with kids. I didn’t expect having use of a fridge which was so helpful. Liked having the picnic tables too and a large platform for the tents. Thanks so much for having us!

We had a great one night stay at Alisa’s farm. The tent platform is large and the farm kitchen was a really nice touch. It was great to have access to a fridge/freezer while on the road. We also enjoyed the solar shower and a short walk in the woods.

The land is beautiful. Bathroom available, shower available, sink available... Was a wonderful weekend. We had a great time. Alisa was very kind & always made sure we had whatever we needed. Would recommend & would stay again, no doubt.

Van/Camper Site at Sparkroot Farm
From the photos and ad copy on the booking, I expected goats and chickens and a place where there was a lot to do and help out with. This is not the case. The animals were all sold LAST August according to Alisa's Facebook page. I suspect that the situation has been affected by COVID and so do not wish to be too harsh, but the ad copy and photographs need to be updated to reflect the current situation. I wish them all the best. Nice family.

Van/Camper Site at Sparkroot Farm
When we first arrived, there was broken glass on the ground and a small kitchen knife. This spot is right in front of the main house so no privacy and not a lot of stretch room. Not a bad spot if you need to just crash for a night, but not for long term.

Alisa's farm was perfect for camping. The site is in a secluded part of the woods, we had access to water, and the compost toilet was clean. It was easy to find and she gave helpful directions for arrival and checking in. She was available if we needed anything. I would definitely camp here again!

Wonderful camping weekend
We had such a lovely time camping at Sparkroots Farm this past weekend. The campsite was very clean and well set up. It has two picnic tables and a campfire right next to the tent platform and a cute kitchen with plenty of counter space, a big sink and a mini fridge, in the barn just a short walk away. We definitely hope to come back soon!

Alisa’s land was perfect to stay on. My boyfriend and I had an awesome time taking a hike, building a fire, and enjoying the sounds of nature. I totally suggest getting the firewood bundle as a campfire is a very nice vibe to have while camping. Alisa and her family were very welcoming, provided awesome instructions and information, and mega helpful. I would totally stay here again!

Camping with kids
My family enjoyed tent camping on Alisa’s land. The campsite was spacious and well set up with a fire pit, picnic table, platform for tents. There were a couple trees that were perfect to hang a hammock near the platform. The outhouse and kitchenette with fridge were a nice. My little ones enjoyed finding “treasure” on the grounds and collecting plant leaves and wildflowers to press. Thanks for providing a comfortable space for our daughters’ first over night tent camping trip!

Gorgeous camping, with conveniences
Beautiful scenery on a lovely piece of property. Great place to camp, So many nice trees, with a feeling of privacy even with others not too far away. Appreciated the colorfully-lighted kitchen area with fridge, the shower option, and seeing chickens nearby! The outhouse was spacious and nice due to the rustic design, ventilation, and effective wood chip system that kept things fresh. It does end up filling up pretty high though.
We camped on a platform which really came in handy when it rained. Loved our space and had lots room.
The only other thing was probably something that happens with trees everywhere—-if there is a cracking sound overhead, watch out for falling branches! This only happened once, but now we know this is something that can happen in the woods. One last thing was that the coffee maker was not in a condition to use…but that’s not that big a deal. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to others.

My friend and I had a great experience camping on Alisa’s property. The tent platform was perfect. Great fire pit area as well. The fridge and little kitchen area was definitely a nice touch even though we didn’t use it this time. Definitely recommend to others!

Lovely!!!
Sparkroot Farm is absolutely lovely. We enjoyed escaping from busy Chapel Hill to the quite, calm, comfortable country. The kitchen is very convenient, and all of the folks that I ran into were sweet and kind. Our campsite was not as private as I was expecting. This didn’t prove to be a problem, but it’s worth mentioning to let others know. 10/10 would recommend for good vibes at a good price!

We had a fantastic time here! We stayed in a bell tent set up by Alisa and it was totally idyllic— comfy mattress, lovely lighting, and hot dog skewers included. The goats were very charming. The oak log fire wood also burned really nicely! It was just a super pleasant and easy and lovely trip :-)

Dang! What a fantastic space.
Sparkroot was welcoming and kind, and full of delightful surprises. The goats were sweet as can be, the campsite was well kept and spacious, amenities abound, and the Sparkroot folks were a treat.
We went hiking on the New Hope Overlook Trail at Jordan Lake - it was a wonderful hike with gorgeous views and only about 10 minutes from Sparkroot.
Highly recommend to anyone looking to get away for a good tromp in the woods and a refreshing swim!

Had a fantastic time at Sparkroot! What an amazing property with all sorts of patches to explore and lots of sculptures everywhere. Alisa was wonderful and so was her family in helping with everything. 10 min to the Jordan Lake boat ramp! Overall awesome time!

Charming Stay at Sparkroot Farm
Alisa was super responsive from the moment we arrived. The site was clean and charming. The staff onsite were friendly; they showed us around the garden and greenhouse. We also learned about the goats and milking process, which was fun. I would definitely stay again and recommend to others longing to reconnect with nature.

Our Own Patch of Woods
We spent a night at Sparkroot Farm and loved it. We had a big campsite in the woods with two picnic tables, a fire pit, and a raised platform to set up our 9-person tent. It was a very tranquil place with bunnies, goats, and chickens you could visit. We also got to see their huge garden and sampled a few greens. We live in Cary and with it only being 25 minutes away, we definitely plan on coming back. Thanks for a great stay, Alisa.
