Site 57 - Standard Primitive Tent (Creekside)
Nice spot towards the end of the campground, so away from most of the people. Directly next to a creek which made falling asleep very relaxing! The campground itself is nice with clean showers & bathrooms. It would be nicer if they'd clean up some of the old broken down RVs and building equipment, but that's really my only complaint.

I loved being able to camp next to a babbling brook with plenty of room for my campsite. We weren't on top of each other which was very nice. Everything was very very clean especially the facilities containing the showers. And I mean very clean!

This is an amazing family friendly campground. The staff are super helpful, the bathrooms are clean, and there is garbage disposal available. I bought firewood from the check in office, snd slept in my hammock.
There are three off leash (but contained) dogs that live across the street and they barked from the yard A LOT.

This campsite was a fantastic surprise! It was a bit confusing at first—especially the “open field tent camping” layout—but once I figured it out, everything made sense. There are a ton of amenities: the laundry worked perfectly, there are plenty of outlets in the common areas (super helpful for non-electric sites), and the WiFi was surprisingly strong!
When I arrived, storms had just knocked out the internet, but the owner was very responsive and had it back up quickly—which was crucial since I work remotely. The bathrooms and showers were cleaned daily and always spotless. I was really impressed with the overall maintenance and care of the property.
The location is peaceful and relaxing. I actually ended up extending my stay because I liked it so much. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet, well-equipped place to camp, whether you’re just relaxing or need to get a little work done while on the road.

Some positives first- Convenient to Bryson City and the Natahala river. The shower house had great hot water water pressure and lots of places to put your clothes and supplies. A microwave and exterior dish washing sink was appreciated. Firewood though smaller pieces was only $6.00.
My site #34 though was very rutted, roots and mud due to the creek overflowing. The only dry, flat tent spot was probably on the campsite next doors "'area" and close to their tent. I bailed a day early due to predicted rain and not wanting to get that muddy. I would put a gravel drive in and rent it to small campers/vans and not tents. It was close to a running creek producing pleasant sleep noise. I would stay here again if I could reserve some of the other grass creek sites.

10/10. Beautiful views. Outstanding staff. Super clean facilities laundry and bathrooms are really nice. The tap water is possibly the greatest water on earth. Close to all of the adventuring you could need. And town. Pro tip. Drive to Sylva for breakfast. Go to Lucy in the Rye….its about 30 minutes. But worth triple that. Place is outstanding.

Easy access, friendly owners. Peaceful spot, no fuss, no muss. Clean bathhouse, and restrooms. 10 minutes away from Bryson City (civilization; the nearest town), but far out enough to be away from the Hustle & Bustle..
Very fair priced. I would not hesitate to stay here, again!

Nice little cabin! Quite camp ground. Definitely miss being able to rent the hammock stands tho.. because the beds were a little on the softer side but for the price can't complain much.

We tent camped and it was absolutely beautiful. Breathtaking views all around us. The amenities were always nice and clean, (and heated which was perfect for the morning we woke up with a frosted tent). The camp had such a lovely community vibe, everyone was done for a little chit chat as you did the dishes. The campground hosts were so thoughtful as well stopping by for a chat and making sure we had everything we needed. If it wasn’t halfway around the world we would be back in a heartbeat!

This is a very nice cabin to spend your time in the mountains of west North Carolina! The babbling brook right at my porch was very relaxing. My cabin was clean and comfortable. Nice table and chairs on the porch and a picnic table out under the stars!
I was late getting in and my key was waiting for me with my name on it and easy directions to Dogwood Cabin!👍🏻

14A - FH RV 30A (Partially Shaded)
Nice place- arrived in a torrential rainstorm. There are no signs on Alarka Road for an absolute, last-second turn and I missed it. Ended up having to turn around- followed a turnoff that ended up as a very steep dead end in someone’s house. Luckily, they had a multi-part drive I barely could back into in rain so bad I couldn’t see. Finally got to the camp site and no one in the office, so had to drive around to find my site. I loved tent camping by the creek. The sound of the creek was peaceful. The campsite was a nice size. There are other sites close by, so if you want something more private I would recommend an end site. The site has its own picnic table and firepit. There was a porta potty right across the gravel road. The bath house was maybe 100 yards away, so it was nice to have the porta potty close by at night. The bath house was nice and clean. It had a small kitchen sink and drying board on the outside.
The host was extremely nice and the little camp store on site had everything you could need. I look forward to staying here again!

This was my 1st time using HC and I was NOT disappointed. I messaged Susan the day of arrival to let her know we would be late getting in and when we got there, she was still in the office (not sure if for us or not, but was nice either way). She drew out a map to show us exactly how to get our rig into site 33 and how to get out.
Site 33 is roomy and had plenty of room for my slides. The 50 amp power was wired perfectly and the water pressure was great. We were also really close to a bath house which was nice.
The park is kept extremely clean and felt inviting with several amenities like a public pavilion and WiFi although we didn’t use them, it was nice that they were there.
Pet friendly and all kinds of kids playing everywhere. We will absolutely be back!
Only cons we had were not the camps fault at all. One of our neighbors had a dog tied up and he was barking non stop and the road to the camp is narrow and bendy. Was perfectly navigable even with a 40 foot camper, but still worth noting.

awesome views all around the camp: a small creek and mountains everywhere you look. it was unbelievably affordable with plenty of amenities—you can enjoy wifi and clean hot showers for $25. everyone at the camp was so peaceful as well. i’m so glad i found it at hipcamp!

The campground was great. Bathhouse clean. WiFi only in certain areas. Zero digital or analog tv channels avail. I rate the campground great. BUT my spot #17? Unusable for most anyone with an RV. The hookups are one the wrong site and basically located in the neighborhoods site. Hosts were understanding and I was able to move. I would go back. Just don’t book spot 16 or 17.
