Hump Mountain Delight!
cute cabin! Mango was an exceptional host giving us recommended hikes and views in the area. our two dogs got along swimmingly with his two pets, Wilson (dog) and Greyson (cat). Great fire pit and Italian lights provided an amazing ambiance. I'm 6 foot 2 and was just able to fit in the loft comfortably. as a avid backpacker and hiker, all of the needed amenities were met. there is a dollar general just down the road that has everything you may need...snacks, food, drinks, and kiln dried firewood.
a few minutes drive takes you to Elk River Falls and the roadside Waterfall park. short walks for both before hitting the views.
would highly recommend and plan to revisit during peak fall colors! Thanks again Mango!

Absolutely wonderful! We had a great night out in Banner Elk checking out some live bluegrass and craft brews with our dog. We got back to the cabin just in time before a nasty storm started up, and we huddled by the fire inside playing Appalachian Trail Trivia with whiskey 🙂 rain and wind on the tin roof all night made it the most cozy, remote feeling way to unwind after thanksgiving with the fam. Def planning on staying again!

Cozy!!
Great place for a night or two in the mountains. Even with temps below freezing at night we were cozy and plenty warm inside. The fire pit is great also and big enough to keep you warm outside while you cook or roast marshmallows! Firewood was included so that was a plus!

It was a nice stay overall. I was pleased to find a heater and the beds were comfortable. We were happy to be able to have a campfire and the area was quiet.
