Scott’s Lakeview Camp and Park

My wife and I were looking for a weekend getaway and we couldn't have found a better place. Sean is an amazing host and the property is a perfect retreat. The well maintained trails are perfect for exploring and an afternoon float on the lake was just what the doctor ordered! We are already planning our next visit with the kids!

The lake is beautiful and saw turtles, frogs and was a lovely walk around the entire lake. Unfortunately, I have dogs that scare easily and Scott’s dogs visit the camping area, so I did not stay. But the property was gorgeous and Scott was easy to communicate with and gave me fresh eggs when I arrived.

Site 5 was a nice secluded area where we could relax and enjoy the day. The lake had some good fishing spots and we enjoyed making a bonfire at our campsite. Would recommend to anyone who wants to leave the stress of the city for a few days

Great place. Very quiet, secluded. Lots of sounds of frogs, birds and even a beaver. Sean even gave me some fresh eggs upon my arrival. Recommended.

This was my second time here and I had a wonderful trip. It’s so lovely being able to stay right by the water, super peaceful and lots of lovely wildlife. Sean is such a wonderful host and I can’t wait to come back!

So we really enjoyed Scottview lake! We picked our campsite based on other reviews because there wasn’t a lot of pictures. We pulled up and the park owner met us out there and showed us where to go. Campsite 5 is in the woods and you either need a small vehicle to get in there or either hike your stuff down. If you like to be excluded from others, campsite five would be perfect for a small campsite. But the owner give us permission since no one else had scheduled to stay in any other lot that we wished. I would have to say that campsite for is by far the best site at Scott view Lake. It has its own little private fishing Cove and a nice fire pit and plenty of room. The area was extremely large and was really nice and the kids enjoyed catching fish. No water or electrical hook ups, but the owner allows folks to fill up water containers, which we done. This place is awesome and it will not be our last trip there that’s for sure. Plenty of sun for solar, charging, and plenty of shade for sun covering. If we stayed again, we would definitely stay in campsite four because I felt like it was the best campsite there. I hope this helps everyone in the future, but I definitely recommend this area and this place for camping for anybody looking for a private safe and quiet campsite.

Fantastic location. Beautiful little area just outside of Fayetteville. Sean met us at the entrance and gave a quick once over of the area. Really enjoyed our trip and will definitely be back!

Site 3 - Scott's Lake View Camp and Park

Sean’s campsite was the perfect little getaway! The walking path around the lake was beautiful and well-maintained, and our tent site was comfortable and had everything we needed. The aircraft landing strip was also a cool feature! Thank you Sean for a great stay!

Excellent boondocking experience.

If you are looking for a nice, quiet and spacious spot away from everyone else, this is your spot. Not only was the host incredible (the fresh eggs were a bonus and very delicious), but he made sure that I was doing ok by checking in on me. I did fish and only caught one fish, even still it was so relaxing. The spot itself was pretty cool. right on the water, fire ring and plenty of space for my 26ft TT and Tow vehicle.. For the first time ever, I let me dog off the leash. Sadie had a blast.. she was able to roam freely among the property and she had an incredible blast. There is even a walking path around the lake, and an Ultralight take off / landing strip. Even though I didn't get to see that happen, I might go back to learn more about ultralights. So this is boondocking, no power, or water or bathroom facilities. I was able to use my generator for power. Sean was excellent to work with and this is definitely the place to get away for the weekend.

Kayaks and fishing

Camping at Sean's land was amazing, Sean was an amazing host. He messaged me before hand to make sure I brought proper bug repellent and when we got there we felt very welcome to be there. The location is close enough to home but far enough away to have a great experience outdoors. The lake was amazing kayaking and fishing all weekend. Definitely planning on making this a repeat location

Site 7 - Scott's Lake View Camp and Park

For our first camping trip this site was everything I would have asked for! Clean, nice view of the lake, walking trail that the kids loved! I loved the fact the kids were free to run in play and be themselves! Our host Sean was outstanding and very understanding! He answered all 100 of my question in a timely manner lol! Our first camping trip here but definitely won’t be our last!

Sean is a cool guy who likes to fly. We stayed during a week when we were the only campers on the property so it was very private. It’s hard to know where the campsites are except for 2 of them(maybe there are other clearings we couldn’t see), meaning any sites are extremely primitive. It is just a piece of ground and you figure out the rest. Unfortunately we did not have a picnic table(although the listing says one is present) at our site. Sean was very kind to check in on us(via phone) and to leave us some fresh eggs! 30min drive to Fayetteville. The pond is nice and peaceful as well as the very level walking trail that surrounds it. This site would be ideal for someone with a self contained truck to camp from. Potable water available from garden hose outside the main house. We had decent cell service at our site as well.

Went camping with my family and had a great time. It was a nice spot for catch and release fishing. Golden shinner fish love to swim on the right side of the pond. Dry downfall is easy to find for camp fires.

Excellent experience camping on Sean’s land. Super friendly host and nice and clean. Also we Got some fresh eggs as soon as we arrived. The boys and I caught quite a few fish and everyone had a blast. We will be coming back.

The great escape

Sean's retreat was an amazing getaway for my kids, dogs, and myself. I loved that my dogs could run free and just be dogs (not robots), play in the water with my kids, and that my kids could be obnoxious without worrying about waking up the site right next to you. Just a heads up for others who may have kids with anxiety, there are bones out in the woods (that my dogs kindly found and brought back 😂) that are from deer. It took a bit of reassurance to help my son understand they aren't human bones, thank goodness for the tail! We enjoyed walking around the pond, playing in it, and hearing all the critters at night. Sean was extremely kind, made sure we found a good spot for us, and stopped by on our way out to drop off some fresh eggs! We will absolutely be back again to enjoy our family time again!

The site was great, and as described. We had a night of rain, but the site is sandy and was well-drained so it wasn't a problem. So many birds, lots of species of frogs, and stealth beavers abound! The woods and forest walks were lovely!
