If you are looking for a quiet corner with great hosts, this is an awesome stop. Zack the mule was also a hit with my daughter!

This is a wonderful, quiet site. Tons of amenities. While we used this as a base for a couple days it was really nice. Linda and her husband have a beautiful property to enjoy.

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights recently. The host, Bob and Linda were so nice! Bob met us on arrival day, showed us where to park and told us a few things about the land. Linda brought over some fresh eggs one evening. Their pups are adorable and Jack, the mule was very sociable. We had our privacy and felt very safe. I will 100% book this site again when we are in the area.

Loved everything about staying here at Runaway Farm with my 37-foot fifth wheel. Full hookups were provided and easy to find/access, directions to the site were very easy to follow. The hosts were friendly and there were amenities such as the nearby barn (with washer/dryer access) that I had not even seen in the listing. I’ll definitely stop here again if I’m ever in the area.

This is our first time using Hipcamp. I do not know if all locations will be as peaceful, memorable and comfortable as Runaway Farm. But this is one that we hope to come back to when staying in Fuquay-Varona, NC. Linda and her husband were great hosts. The spot is very clean. It’s a full hookup. There’s an area that they’ve set aside for our camping needs that includes a full kitchen and bathroom with washer and dryer. A camper’s dream making camping at their site very comfortable. There are also fresh eggs that we have access to if the hen’s lay them. Lol! We were able to taste a couple. Linda gave us tips as to some local spots and she was right on the money with her suggestions. There’s a lot to do nearby within driving distance. We would absolutely recommend this location for your future travel needs.

Thank you Linda and Bob for hosting and sharing your barn and RV site pad. This is a private scenic country farm setting. Highly recommended! We loved the clean kitchen and bathroom space that was available for us to use.

Amazing location!!! Property has areas to walk and see nature. Creek nearby as well as the resident mule!!! The two dogs Coal and Millie were just as polite! Bob and Linda were so pleasant and accommodating. They responded quickly to questions and respected my privacy. I would definitely stay here again.

The Runaway Farm has everything you could ask for….and more! The property itself is absolutely stunning….and the added amenities were amazing! Bob & Linda were attentive, kind, and personable. Our kids enjoyed the company of the two dogs, and loved feeding Zack and the chickens. We camped in our tents ( which felt like the coldest nights of the year!) so having the option to warm up in the barn was definitely appreciated. The Runaway Farm is a true gem!!

Linda and her husband were great host!
We felt comfortable, relaxed, safe, and welcomed.
The RV site had everything we needed and more. Also, you could not have asked for a more beautiful setting with the horses, the rolling hillsides, and creek.
Of course their mule, Zack, welcomed us as well and our grandsons enjoyed feeding him carrots.

Linda is an extremely gracious host. We are very thankful she opened her private sanctuary to us. The added/extra indoor space for bathing and washing clothes is a HUGE plus! Will definitely be recommending for any visitors that we may have and/or travelers that we may meet.

WOW!! Such a beautiful place for us to land! Mix of wooded, fenced fields with horses, mule, dirt road to a creek and more fields. Hosts were just wonderful at making us feel welcomed and comfortable. Water, electric easily accessible, dump available but we didn’t use it. They had 2 lovely labs, sweet and calm, did well with our 2 small skittish “barky” dogs. We were there 4 nights for a wedding nearby, and had lots of coming and going. It always felt private, quiet, peaceful.,Thank you for such a great experience!!

Great place to relax and work from your trailer if need be.. The hosts were very kind and helpful. The RV spot is flat and hookup were better than most RV parks. I would recommend staying here if you need a place to work from your trailer while passing through.

We absolutely loved our stay at the farm. Very conveniently located near Raven Rock, Lillington, and a short drive to Raleigh. Linda and Bob were excellent hosts! We strongly recommend staying there.

We enjoyed our stay. The hosts (including all 2 legged and 4 legged friend!) were just awesome. We felt welcome and the site was very spacious. Zach the mule was a highlight and is very missed. We will return! Thank you Bob & Linda!

Linda’s land was ideal for our needs. Concrete pad, water, electric and sewer. The farm had mowed lawns, donkey and horse pastures to view, lane to walk down to small stream. Also available was a small kitchen with table and chairs, full size sink and a refrigerator. Washer and drier located in bathroom with large shower. Best was the hidden train track at bottom of hill where a train goes clickity-clack maybe once a day. The area surrounding the farm is beautiful. Linda and her husband were wonderful hosts. Milly and Cole liked to visit when they came out of the house to run. If you are in the area, see if this Hipcamp is available. I know we will if we are passing through again. Peaceful and quiet.

This is such an idyllic spot - we did not want to leave!! Fresh chicken eggs, cute bunnies, friendly mule, & the VERY BEST hosts ever! They opened their “barndeminium “ up to us - full kitchen, fill bath & washer & dryer! What more could you ask for? It is a nice quiet, tranquil setting with plenty of privacy & yet still close to everything you might need! I truly cannot find the words to describe what a fantastic place this is - we cannot wait to go back!! ❤️❤️

We have experienced some fantastic HipCamps over the past few years and this one rates right near the top. The land is so beautiful and surprisingly private, considering there is a road a few hundred yards up the hill. The pad is sizable and concrete, with easy hookups and a nice grassy area to sit and listen to the wind through the trees. The hosts are extremely gracious, even allowing us access to their Barndominium setup with a sitting area and kitchen if we wanted. They also shared with us a little history of the twenty acres they call home, which was great! My favorite part though, aside from it being 45 minutes from Raleigh, was the peaceful walks we'd take around the perimeter of the property, saying hello to Zack the mule, Wisp, Winky, and the other beautiful horses. Such a treat! Bent Creek Farm is definitely one we will come back to when we find ourselves back in the Triangle area. Thank you again for an incredible and relaxing few days! This makes me want to snatch up a beautiful plot of land for myself...

We loved Runaway Farm! We traveled in our 40 ft Class A RV. The pad was level and they had electrical hookups, water and sewage connections. Linda and Bob were wonderful hosts. They went out of their way to make us feel at home and let us know about attractions in the area. The wifi was having a few issues and Linda and Bob jumped on the issue and it was working great by the next day. The property is beautiful and well kept. We especially enjoyed the creek and trails on the property. We also loved the horses. Linda let me know that we were welcome to get fresh eggs from their chickens. Raven Rock Park is nearby as well as a few other parks with walking trails. There are stores close by but none within walking distance. The water pressure was perfect. We absolutely loved this hip camp and will definitely be back! Thank you Linda and Bob for your hospitality!

Within ten minutes I knew I was in hipcamp heaven. Everything from the people to the site was just incredible. We had a full kitchen, bathroom, dining table, TV, washer and dryer to ourselves. My daughter loved the hikes to the creek and picking eggs in the morning quickly became her favorite thing in the world. To add the cherry on top my dogs got to make new friends. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us and welcoming us on Christmas. Sad to go, hope to return soon
