We had a beautiful weekend! David's directions were very clear, and we easily found the site. It was private, quiet, and had a fantastic view.

We cancelled our reservation due to roads flooded out in the area and I am certain the camp owners had their hands full. We hope they recover so we can visit them another time.

The best thing about Creekside Cmping is Buck Creek, literally right outside my camper door. So beautiful and relaxing to watch and listen to the creek. I stayed in a nice spot right on the creek with trees and picnic table. The bathroom/shower cabin-like building is a short walk and is very nice and rustic (in a good way). Hot water is plentiful and there is a fridge and microwave in the same building. David was very nice and helpful in getting me and my dogs settled. He also had great recommendations for what to do in the area.

David’s site was great! He is a very kind host, and puts good effort into maintaining a great camp site. Him and his dogs were very hospitable and this site had just about everything a camper could need. Hot shower and clean bathhouse. The creek was really peaceful, the site is pretty private and though it is closer to a road, there isn’t a lot of traffic. We had a great time!

Overall, I had a great experience. The electric hookup right on site is a huge plus. Unfortunately when I got there there were broken boards on the platform. And when I was taking my tent down to leave another board broke. But the bathroom was clean and the host was very friendly and helpful. I had a fun ride around devils whip and part of blue ridge parkway. The view of stars at night was spectacular.

Awesome spot right on the creek. Lots to do nearby… hiking, waterfalls, breweries, winery, etc. Spent a lot of our time in Old Fort which was great.

We enjoyed spending time at David's hip-camp. We parked our Class B RV at the hip-camp and enjoyed the tent patio/balcony as a sitting area for relaxing and listening to the creek run by. There is a very nice firepit, which we used daily, and an amazing display of fireflies at night! While there are several other occupied structures nearby, the residents were very quiet and allowed us our space. David was very helpful while also allowing us our space. The shower and bathroom are very well-kept and a welcome benefit!

David’s site was beautiful and a wonderful place to both tent and RV camp! The sound of the creek was absolutely dreamy, the bath house was great, and David is an incredibly accommodating host. Bonus! there are 3 adorable and friendly pups on the property that make wonderful cohosts!

The site was small, but the perfect spot for a respite not too far from the BRP. The winding mountain road to his compound descends 3,000 ft in only a couple miles so don’t be afraid to gear down!! Shower was hot, and the crapper flushed so absolutely no complaints there. We will stay there again!

This is a very nice little campsite down by the creek. The site was maintained nicely and it was easy to find! The picnic table was large and the parking area could fit two small cars or a good sized van. The platform was perfect for setting up my tent and the fire pit and seating by the creek was awesome. There is a bathroom and shower on the property as well. There is even WIFI! It is just a couple miles from Blue ridge Parkway and about an hour from Asheville. This would be a good spot to camp for a couple days or stay for a night as you travel though. There is a good coffee shop in Old Fort, NC not too far from this campsite. Seeker coffee.

David is a fabulous host. He is available if you need him and makes sure you have everything you need. The sound and beauty of the creek is perfect. The only downside is the close proximity to the road.

The campsite was conveniently located to the Blue ridge Parkway, Asheville, Black Mountain Mt. Mitchell and Marion. Campsite was clean with picnic tables and fire sites, the stream was beautiful. Shower and bathroom was stocked and very clean. David was a very accommodating host.
I highly recommend this location for tents and small campers with a tight turning radius if you have anything larger than a pop up getting out of the campsite will be difficult. - there is no turnaround (our trailer is 20ft). Message David if you have any concerns about the turnaround.

Awesome little site! David was very accommodating and knowledgeable of the area. Messed up as I didn’t see no travel trailers but our little VT16 David welcomed as he wanted to try something out!
Plenty of room and the site sets up nicely. Bathroom and shower house very clean and had all the supplies.
Site is far enough off grid and near ole Ty of hiking and biking and fishing.
Def would stay again!

Overall the host was very nice and helpful but our site was double booked. He luckily had an unfinished property a couple miles down the road otherwise we would have been lost because we didn’t have phone service or other options at 10pm. The unfinished property will look amazing when finished, no doubt but as it stood was just a graded dirt patch near the River/creek and a portapotty. We did drive back to the original site to use the shower. The shower facilities were nice. Just overall a little disappointing and not what we paid for.

Very pretty setting with tent deck overlooking a lovely creek. There is a cute shower house that is very clean with flushing toilet. The walk to the shower house is about two hundred feet through the hosts other rental endeavors and projects, so not super private. The water a power are conveniently located at the deck site. My only wish would be that it be farther from Hwy 80. We were there on at a busy weekend and the lights from the vehicles were rather intrusive to my sleep and the loud motorcycles were disruptive to conversation.
