Nestled in a quiet secure mountain community, you will find the private suite at the Hummingbird Cottage. You’ll enjoy the adventures that surround you at an altitude of 3,691 feet! The suite features a comfortable extra-long twin bed, a ceiling fan, high-speed internet, cable, live edge wood bookshelves, and a desk. The sunshine and stars shine in through the beautiful windows. There are blinds on each window for privacy. Just a few steps outside the front door is a fully private remodeled bathroom with a tiled, spa shower. When staying at the property, you will enjoy a Keurig coffee maker with free coffee or hot tea, snacks, and a breakfast treat. You also have private parking, a private fire pit with comfortable chairs, and a completely private entrance (the owners reside upstairs when in town). The community offers a lovely lake with a beach, an Olympic-size pool, a public golf course, and hiking trails. It is within minutes of Banner Elk, Linville Falls, and Linville Gorge, along with the Blue Ridge Parkway. You may even visit Grandfather Mountain for the day as our guest (up to 2 people). The community has a laundromat and offers 24-hour security. If you will be joined by another person, we can provide a camping cot with a comfortable feather pillow and comforter. Both beds offer fresh linens and towels are provided as well. Resort amenities include kayaks, a lakeside beach, and entry to the neighborhood pool. Ideal place for solo travel or 2 pp

Guest Suite in NC Mountains

Jennifer was absolutely fantastic, hospitable and ready to tend to our every need. Finding the cottage and checking-in was a breeze. The host treated us like family and helped us even setting up the extra bed for my daughter to sleep. This cottage is absolutely beautiful, with extra seating, cute decor and cozy. It came equipped with everything needed to relax- books, games and a big Smart TV. Coffee, Tea and snacks were available. They had a cute patio with a solo stove for the evening. The best was getting free entrances to visit the Amazing Grandfather Mountain. Thanks Jennifer for making our stay so special and memorable. ♥️

Perfect day hiker getaway

Guest Suite in NC Mountains

This studio was the perfect base camp for top notch day hiking. Grandfather Mtn, Linville gorge and the blue ridge parkway are within 20 mins away. The room was very clean, comfortable, and cute. I loved sleeping with the windows up to get the nice cool mountain air. Jennifer is such a kind host and had everything I needed and more. Five stars.
