Parkton Place is situated on a 30-acre equestrian estate complete with a menagerie of farm animals to include horses, donkeys, mini cows, alpacas, goats, pot bellied pigs, emus, peacocks, chickens, parrots and of course dogs. Parkton Place has a 1-acre pond for swimming, kayaking or lounging on the beach. Parkton Place ONLY offer 30 amp water and electric hook ups. $40/night Primitive camping PRE-APPROVAL required. If you want to leave it all behind, trek back to the wood for a completely different view of the estate. Goat Pen

Heathers place is beautiful. All the animals there were friendly. We actually had the roosters come visit us in our travel trailer. We loved petting the horses, donkeys, and dogs. Heather and Chris were very friendly and accommodating. If we are in the area again we would definitely stay there.

Family Fun, But Lacks Privacy

We stayed at Parkton Place with our family and overall had a positive experience. The kids especially enjoyed the animals on-site, and the host was incredibly friendly and accommodating. It was great having access to a shower and bathroom if needed, and the availability of both 50-amp and 30-amp hookups, plus water, was a big plus for our setup. That said, there are a couple of things to note for future campers. The site is a large, flat open field with no trees, which may not be ideal for those looking for shade or a more natural, wooded atmosphere. It's a matter of personal preference, but we missed that “tucked away” feeling. There also appeared to be a few permanent trailer residences on the property. While that didn’t directly affect our stay, it did detract a bit from the overall getaway vibe, especially as some of those areas weren't very well maintained. If you're looking for a friendly place with plenty of space and full hookups—and don’t mind an open field—it’s a solid option.

We had the best stay. Very close to I95 but yet you feel like you are in the country. All the animals are so friendly. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Next time we will stay longer.

If you are traveling on I-95, it's a great place to spend the night. It's close to the interstate, very attractive, and there is a friendly emu near the water spicket. The goats and pot bellied pig are pretty cool too.
