We had a wonderful experience here! The yurt is clean and so cute. Evan also has provided things that make the experience comfortable and easy (natural spring water, cooler with ice, covered propane grill and sink area, utensils and pans. There was even coffee and oatmeal provided!) it looks like a solar shower is being built, so that will also be nice. Plus it’s private and not next to the other yurts on the property.

April’s Treetop Dome Blue Ridge Exp
Overall we had a really great experience. Unfortunately, it rained right before we arrived and the trail up to the dome and the area around the dome became a muddy mess. Also, the outhouse is a little further from the dome than we anticipated. But staying in the dome was a really cool experience and the host provided a lot of amenities that made it a really comfortable stay.

Wild fairies do yoga
We loved spending two nights at the yurt, which was very comfortable and well appointed. Evan has taken care of little details and has gone far beyond what you’d expect at a campsite. The solar lighting and battery to charge phone and small appliances, plenty of fire wood, fire pit, water jugs, a propane grill, a cooler, a toilet out house, 2 Queen beds with fancy bedding and other little items around the camp and yurt that made our stay very pleasant. Thank you Evan for being a great host!!

Wonderful experience
What an amazing experience! This particular site has some seriously amazing vibes going on. My friends and I have called it an undiscovered vortex :). Which I have visited ones that have a reputation- like the one in Sedona AZ - and felt nothing - and here I visit this treetop place- and all 4 of us felt like we were sitting on a conduit for joy and love! You really need to come here and stay to see what I am talking about. That aside, our guide also gave us an excellent fishing location, to which we had a wonderful morning in the stream and caught a bounty for dinner and grilled it up. I can’t express what a happy forest this is, and the bed is so comfortable and the view just can’t be beat! We also enjoyed experiencing the waterfall and all the fauna and butterflies, and just being together with no screens watching the beautiful day pass, and then curling up in the yurt with the glowing sky. If you have stress in your life or have lost the feeling of gratitude due to the everyday grind- I highly recommend experiencing this land- you will feel very happy and grateful afterwards!

Awesome!!!
This place is awesome! We were very impressed by the design and quality of the yurt, deck and overall setup of the camp space. We had everything we needed to stay comfortable while still being immersed in nature. The view from the deck is beautiful. The location was great as well. Centrally located between some of the best hikes in the area - grandfather mountain, linville gorge, and mount Mitchell. Lots of waterfalls nearby too. Evan is a super nice guy and made sure we had everything we needed. We would highly recommend the gnomes yome!!

Perfect pet-friendly vacation!
Oh my gosh, this was a perfect nature getaway! The yurt was the perfect mix of primitive living with all of the creature comforts you could ask for. From the easy-to-follow instructions for the heating/electric to the small touches like the French press & ice cooler made for such a comfortable stay. The bed was also extremely warm and cozy! Overall this yurt is the perfect spot for a retreat in the mountains.

No noise at all
Easy enough instructions to get to the place and accurate coordinates, you won't get lost. Super quiet and calm surroundings. Good phone signal and you can rely on the battery for your charging needs as long as you follow instructions correctly.

Book it! You will not regret it!!
Evan has done an incredible job with the Gnome’s Yome! We stayed at this adorable Yurt while on a Valentines Day getaway and it was best and most romantic time! Not only is the decor cute but he has also gone out of his way to make sure the place has a bunch of practical items for cooking and and dining. He was very responsive and made sure we had everything thing we needed to be comfortable. We can’t wait to come back when it’s a little warmer outside so we can try out the outside shower!

The Gnomes Yome
Visited here in January for my boyfriends birthday. We had a great time cooking on the grill and hiking nearby. Evan was very helpful and attentive. He sent clear instructions and made sure we had everything we needed. There is a waterfall not far from the yurt and amazing sunrises over the mountains. It was a bit windy and cold at night but there is a propane heater to keep you warm. I would recommend keeping it on throughout the night to stay warm with temps in the low 30s. The shower is from a rain barrel so it will be empty with a lack of recent rain or freezing cold in the winter. If you plan on having a bonfire, bring your own wood to make it easier on yourself. I would highly recommend a visit for a weekend getaway with extra warm layers in the winter.

Glamp under the stars ✨
I cannot express the peace surrounded by this Yurt. The view from the patio & driveway is breathe taking. I felt so at home that started to wish it was my home! Perfect view of the sunrise & sunset right from the patio. Beautiful starry sky at night. The place has a fabulous boho aesthetic & has EVERYTHING you need! Plates, propane heater, outdoor grill, fire pit, wine glasses, chairs, ice-filled cooler - check! This is a great getaway and a good way to indulge in nature. The yurt is very secluded in the woods - so be sure bring bug spray! My favorite part was the blue ridge parkway only a few minutes away… close to a lot of great hikes and overlooks. Couldn’t recommend more!

Hurtin’ for a Yurtin’
We loved our stay at the Gnome’s Yome! Evan provided us with enough propane to get us through the cold front over the weekend and stay cozy. Power was abundant and we cooked some delicious meals on the grill and enjoyed the amazing view as we ate. It was secluded enough for us to be comfortable with an anxiety-ridden dog who gets scared of any noise and I think she had a great time as well! (I also really enjoyed the provided tea bags to enjoy a nice hot cup with my breakfast.) Would definitely recommend for first time yurt-ers. Thanks Evan! :)

We had a great time staying at the dome!! The bed was so comfortable, perfect blend of firm and soft. The hosts were very communicative & accommodating. Amazing views!! 😍 The nearby town of Spruce Pine was cute, and with Walmart 5 min away for any forgotten items, this is a great location. We will be back for sure!

I would absolutely recommend coming to this yurt. We had such an amazing peaceful weekend. The fall colors and views were absolutely incredible and the location makes it very easy to hop on the parkway to see more incredible views. The yurt is set up with everything you will need which makes packing easy. We loved everything about this place and will definitely be back!

The Gnome Yome was a perfect spot! I was beyond happy with the cute set up and stunning Mountain View. Everything, from the camp fire, out-house, to the shower were all extremely clean and up to date. The inside of the tent was very clean (also super cute) and had plenty of room which was extremely nice for 2 people and a larger pup. It also provided many different supplies that made the trip very enjoyable. My favorite part was the location. It’s very secluded but only a couple minutes from the main road allowing for quick travel for different activities. The owners were very nice and welcome and were very easy to communicate with! I would highly recommend the Gnome Yome!

Peace and serenity
The Gnome’s Yome at Hoot Owl Falls was absolutely the best! Evan thought of everything, literally everything. Comfortable beds, check! Wine glasses, check! Iced up cooler, check! Spacious decking, gas grill, heater, fan, charging port, extra blankets, snacks, super clean, the list goes on and on! And did I mention binoculars for watching the hawks soar? Check! All the comforts of home, and all pleasures of being in the wilderness surrounded by the peaceful sounds of the night. The location was unbeatable, a few minutes north put us on the Blue Ridge Parkway, a stunning fall drive. Apple picking was not far at the Orchard at Altapass, and numerous waterfall hikes nearby. We picked Linville Falls, a quick easy hike for us 60 year olds that had great views. Asheville is under an hour, and is filled with cool shops and great restaurants. A nice end to our day!

The perfect little spot!
The most wonderful stay! Such a little gem of a spot. I did a solo staycation and Evan was so wonderful with checking in. I felt safe and had everything I needed. I highly highly recommend! My only suggestion : bring extra bug stuff like an additional citronella candle. Yes, you are outdoors and glamping and it’s expected to have bugs flying around.

We loved our gnome yome experience. We’re normally regular campers and this was our first glamping experience. All the best parts of camping with none of the worst. Evan was an incredible host. Secluded All-Natural Glamping
This is the perfect “Glamping” spot if you want more of the “-camping” part to it.
I absolutely enjoyed my stay here. The Yome was perfectly secluded, and the view is beautiful to wake up to. Evan’s place was very accommodating, well stocked, and clean, even the outhouse. There were so many items we brought along on our trip, that we didn’t even need to bring because it was already there. A “cozy apartment” feel, I was comfortable my entire stay. There was a grill on the deck but we chose to cook all of our food over the fire we built.
I also didn’t leave with not 1 bug bite on me (also was spraying my bug spray oil on me). Nearby many waterfalls and parkway hikes, and there’s even a short trail hike waterfall on the property. It rained the first night we were driving up, and I almost considered cancelling the trip, I’m so happy I didn’t, the rain ruined absolutely nothing.
The outdoor shower was my favorite part, I didn’t want to get out. I’m literally coming back just for the shower

In for an experience!
Stop scrolling and book ;) What an awesome experience/ adventure at this yurt! From the drive up to the yurt to the yurt itself and all the things Evan provided! The shower was a fun experience in itself- so refreshing! He provided ice, a cooler, utensils, propane tank, power… the list goes on! We really didn’t have to pack half the stuff we packed because it was all available to use. Great communication throughout the whole trip as well with even better recs! Will 100% be back!
