If you are looking for a secluded campsite deep in the woods, you may want to keep looking. But if you want the ease and peace of a campsite RIGHT ON THE NEW RIVER with everything just steps from your tent, then come out and claim your site! Redemption: To repair or restore. To make good. This campground represents redemption and healing in so many ways. Our hope is that you will find much peace, joy, and adventure here and we promise to do our best to make it everything you expected and more! Numerous large manicured campsites in an open space DIRECTLY ON THE NEW RIVER where adventures abound! Up to 4 guests and 2 tents per site. Newly constructed tiny home provides GLAMPING at its finest! The Liberty cabin shares a space with a few tent sites along the river. With the addition of Liberty, I have limited the number of campers to 4. (Exceptions may be made for holiday weekends). There is plenty of space for everyone and the cabin sits above the tent sites for amazing views and privacy. While HWY 16 can be a bit noisy during busy times, step into the campsites and let the peaceful noise-canceling river serenity whisk you away. Forest views across the river with endless fireflies and stars that light up the night! Zaloo's Canoes, Kayak, and Tubes is within eyesight and will set you up with an amazing float or paddle down river. Plentiful small mouth bass and trout fishing just steps from your site. Outhouse w/washing station. Fire pits at each site as well as a large communal fire pit and picnic tables. Downtown West Jefferson is just 15 minutes away with local breweries, quaint restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, shopping, music, art, and a wonderful farmer's market from May - October. The quaint little town of Lansing, NC is quickly becoming a favorite stop of mine. Check out the Old Orchard Creek General Store, Pie on the Mountain Pizza, the Old Orchard Creek Blueberry Farm, and Molly Chomper for a perfect day in Ashe County. The New River State Park is an easy walk, float, paddle or drive away. This park is absolutely GORGEOUS and impeccably maintained, including hiking trails, public facilities, showers, boat launch and pick up, etc. Just a short drive to multiple Blue Ridge Parkway entry points for ease of access to Boone, Appalachian State University, Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain, Banner Elk, and the Linville Gorge. Mount Jefferson and Grayson Highlands are also just a short drive away for unlimited hiking and incredible mountain views. My personal favorite is hiking with the wild ponies at Grayson Highlands! We have Firewood available for a nominal fee. Just let us know and we will make arrangements to have it ready for you upon arrival. Please respect quiet hours between 10 PM and 8 AM each evening.

Conveniently located next door to Zaloo's Canoes, Kayaks, and Tubes where you can schedule an amazing float or paddle down river. Large firepit allows for peaceful evenings, complete with forest views across the river and endless fireflies and stars that light up the night! Redemption: To repair or restore. To make good. Because of my busy work life and travel schedule, I prefer guests to bring their own bedding. I like to call it BYOB - Bring Your Own Bedding. Linens can be provided for an additional charge. Firewood available for a nominal fee. Just let us know and we will make arrangements to have it ready for you upon arrival. Beautiful well kept camping sites right on the new river. Amy was very attentive and made sure everyone had everything they need and that they made it back to the camp site safe after a trip down the river. We certainly would camp here again!

Amy is a great host and her property is by far the best hipcamp I have stayed at. The grounds are well taken care of and the views are great. Toilet is very clean and the fishing is beyond fantastic. Very well appointed and thw marshmallows and fire starters were a great touch. I will definitely be back as soon as I can with son. Highly recommend.

This campsite was clean and open as shown. The owner Amy was very proactive to our needs prior to us showing up. During our stay if questions arose she was available in a timely manner to answer. We were a group of 8 (2 in the Cabin) which is beautiful and 6 tenting and had a fantastic time. We will be back.

Amy is still the best host out there, always welcoming and providing some check in treats to help get your trip started! The bathroom option is always spotless and the grounds are clean and inviting. This is the best location on the New River! My third trip here and certainly not my last!

Amy’s land was beautiful! Woke up to a river view with mountains each morning. Which was great as I sat to have my coffee. Was also able to watch tubers as they came down the river

Amy is honestly the best! Her campground is clean, quiet, monitored, and overall a good time! Our favorite part is being right on the river and the goodie bag she gives. I got stung by a bee and Amy immediately jumped into action by getting the nest sprayed and taking the time to check in on me. The location of camping is beautiful, but having an accommodating host makes the experience 10/10. She also provides yard games as well. We have been here multiple times and will continue returning!

LIBERTY CABIN@NEW RIVER REDEMPTION
Amy’s cabin is appointed thoughtfully with everything you could possibly need to enjoy your camping experience. 4 camp chairs, fire starters, s’more ingredients and so much more, all in an aesthetically pleasing cabin. The bed was VERY comfortable! My granddaughters loved the bunk beds with pockets on the side for their books, etc. The deck has a very narrow turning radius and my 8 year old granddaughter slipped, falling down the stone steps. Be careful. Having a sound machine was appreciated with the road noise behind the cabin. Amy went above and beyond to buy my granddaughter some conditioner while she was in Boone, which turned tangled tears into a smile.

We couldn’t believe how many “extras” were available to us. The cabin was really well stocked. The host truly has thought of everything and offered recommendations of what to do in the area. And of course the access and view of the river was beautiful!

We had a weekend stay on the river with some dogs and friends, and went to Grayson Highlands on the way home! Amy is the best host, super kind and accommodating. We left to go into town and do a few hikes and never felt like we were bothering anyone. I loved the handwashing sink setup 😊 would recommend a canopy if coming in the summer, the sites are right on the river and not all of them are shaded. I underestimated the sun and needed to take a few breaks in the river!

You truly could not be closer to the river than this! Campfires right on the bank, easy access to both wading and swimming depths, and a canoe/kayak/tubing rental company just a quick walk away if you want to explore further down the river. Amy was an attentive host who is ready to help whenever you need it. This was one of the most well-maintained, clean, flat and grassy campsites I've ever stayed at. There is a porta-potty and an outdoor sink. We swam, built a fire, and caught a few small fish on the fly rod all within 20 feet of our campsite. Summarized in one word, this river-side camp is FUN 🌞

10/10! Amy was an amazing host and the campsite was well kept, clean, with beautiful views of the river! We love to visit new campsites before taking our kids and this campsite is perfect for kids. We will 100% visit again! Not only because of the campsite but Amy’s hospitality made it 100 times better!

My crew enjoyed tent camping on Amy’s land. The children loved playing, tubing in the river (Amy was so kind to allow the children use of her tubes) we adults loved having a few cocktails and good chats by the fire and especially loved the sounds of the river. Great location! Amy is the most gracious host and takes pride in her property. We plan to return.
