Enjoy a campsite to yourself on top of a mountain with beautiful mountain and sunset views. Situated near the charming and historic town of Marshall, nearby Hot Springs, Mars Hill and Asheville, you'll have access to a variety of delightful experiences. Despite being close to these attractions, our location is tucked away at the end of a dead-end, low-traffic road. With easy access off the paved road. You’ll have the camp area to yourself although there are some other homes in the neighborhood around our land. Tag us and follow our Instagram @mountainparadisecampground Outdoor enthusiasts will be thrilled with the proximity to the Pisgah National Forest, the Appalachian Trail, and numerous other beautiful hiking trails, recreational activities, and tourism opportunities.

This is a beautiful private campsite located on a gorgeous creek in a canyon surrounded by wild forest. You can swim and lie around on the plentiful boulders and enjoy a fire on the sandy beach next to the water. Let the peaceful and relaxing days unwind to the sound of the water and the birds. Tag us and see more pictures @mountainparadisecampground Consider booking or inquiring about my waterfall tours run through Hipcamp add ons to experience some of the hidden gems on the land around you. You have to carry all of your things down and it’s about a 5 min walk downhill from where you park so it’s wise to pack fairly light. You are welcome to use the provided cart to help bring your things down just bring it back up so the other campers can also use it. There are two other campsites along the creek but they are spread out a lot and are all very private. You may have campers from Waterfall Wonderland walk past Creekside Paradise on their way to and from camp but Jungle Island has its own access and only shared the first half of the trail. Be aware if there is an extreme amount of rain the beach can flood. But that takes a rare amount of rain and is not a concern 99 percent of the time. Keep an eye on the water level if you are experiencing heavy rain and setup on the higher ground just a bit downstream if you are concerned. Happy Camping

This is a beautiful private campsite gem located in a gorgeous creek canyon surrounded by wild forest. It is a pristine environment. There is no other access to this place from neighbors or the public so you will have it all to yourself down there. You can swim, enjoy a fire surrounded by waterfalls and explore the trails. You have to carry all of your things down there and it’s about a 5min walk downhill from where you park to the creek then another 2 mins past the first campsite Creekside Paradise so it’s wise to pack light . There are a lot of good flat places to pitch tents here. This is my favorite place to camp on our 27 acre property and I often will have my own tent setup down there but I will never use the site when it’s booked. NO LATE ARRIVALS. You cannot arrive later than 6 pm to check in. Please respect this land and keep your visit as low impact as possible. I have been reluctant to list this spot for ten years due to how pristine and beautiful it is. Please do not ruin the opportunity for others to enjoy this place. Although there is another campsite down at the creek they are several minutes walk from each other and the rushing water is loud you will likely not hear or see any signs of other campers if someone has rented the other site. You will have to walk past that campsite tho as you are loading your things in and out.

Jungle Island

This very private campsite is situated right next to beautiful waterfalls and swimming holes in a mesmerizing remote canyon with gorgeous rock formations that is right across from a small island on the creek that you can explore. The access to this site is somewhat rugged and bit steep at the end of the trail but it’s worth the effort so pack light and plan to enjoy the feeling of being away from it all. There are some trails down there to explore along the creek and I’m working on one that can follow the grand rock formation to the top of where it starts which is some gorgeous rock cliffs with big views. Really not that far away but a steep hike up, those wanting to explore could follow the bluff line up to the cliffs.

Moon Pond

This peaceful cove features a pond and two seasonal creeks. It’s the perfect combination of open and sunny and wooded and private. Wildlife loves the water and at night you will hear a chorus of frogs. There’s a giant beautiful beech tree that is the centerpiece of your camp. Several little trails are at your fingertips and more to come. It’s easily accessed by carrying your things down a short 40 foot driveway. Currently we don't have a toilet setup but we will soon. The picturesque small town of Marshall is nearby and has a perfect variety of amenities and activities. Also the town of Hot Springs and the Appalachian Trail are just 20 minutes away and Asheville is 30.

Moon Creek Canyon

This is a beautiful campsite located right off two creeks and at the convergence of two canyons. It has some of the best sounds of the cascading water due to how it sits on the hill. This is a small campsite and currently only can fit one backpacking sized three person tent as a maximum tent size but it’s best suited for two people and a two person tent comfortably. But there is plenty of room to hang hammocks and there’s one other additional three person tent site in the works. The intimate space creates a very cozy feeling any I’ve rigged up a big tarp for your use over the tent space and beyond into a hang area. The fire pit is right next to a big boulder that you can sit on top of or lean against. The trail leading in is pretty steep so you have to pack light and the trail is too rugged to use a cart so it’s best to not bring too much. The hike in is probably only 1/5 of a mile and should only take approx 6 minutes from where you park. One thing to be mindful of is that this camp is relatively close to another campsite and I aim to keep both sites feeling very private so you are asked to not go through that campsite and to keep dogs controlled and not barking and to be overall quiet. Dogs can be off leash I just want you to be mindful so that they don’t go to the other campsite. The sites are far enough apart from each other to not see each other from camp and you shouldn’t hear or see them unless they are exploring the creek downstream from their camp a little. This is a special spot and it’s situated at a prime spot to explore up moon creek canyon or downstream on Walnut Creek.
