Moon Lake Forest is an 11 acre property with 1.6 acre springfed body of water breeming with life. This lot is heavily wooded and deer are a frequent site walking through the mix of poplar, oak, maple, Pines, and Sycamore. A few flowering trees exist as well depending on the season. The lake has a fully walkable trail around it, and a delightful curved bank cuts into it to form a topographical moon shape. This bank is full of pine and Cypress but is thin enough to make an excellent camp site, allowing for an enjoyable night song of frogs and crickets and a spectacular view of the stars. If you prefer a spot further from the view of the property's house, there is a steep hill upward towards the property boundary that has a few flat grounds ideal for camping. If you want more land to explore, the property is about 4 minutes walk away from the walker creek trail head through the Uwharrie national forest, a perfect hike to forage for mushrooms! Just a drive away is the popular photography spot of Pisgah Covered Bridge road, a historic bridge over a small creek that is only open to foot traffic.
