Great camping experience with cover from the rain! We camped for 2 nights and booked this site because of the pretty much constant rain. We had an amazing time and the cabin was perfect. Would definitely come back again sometime.

This cabin is adorable! Super secluded and great location for anyone looking for an off grid stay. We hiked pilot mountain which is only 20 min away and a beautiful hike. And it’s dog friendly! We will definitely be back.

Excellent place! It was really a perfect spot. The cabin is simply adorable. We spent two days hiking at hanging rock and slept the night at the cabin. Everything was perfect-the cabin, the bed, the fire pit, the shower, the port-a potty. Easy to find, excellent directions and easy to access the cabin with code.

We really liked this Hipcamp. It’s remote and private. The gravel driveway is a nice touch (we used levelers on the front wheels) and power/water are a nice touch. The firepit and firewood were perfect. Peaceful sounds from the nearby stream while we slept. Overall excellent!

Quiet and secluded cabin. The host set up a fire ring tripod and Dutch oven for me. Decent spot. Note there is limited cellphone reception, which might be seen as a benefit.

A clean, private fun play area for you and your pets. Myself and two dogs had a great time. Nice trail to the creek. A lot of deer around and the best thing very quite with poor cell service. No distractions from the sounds of nature.

Wonderful! The area was perfect for anyone with a family who wanted an open place with water and electricity, but wanted the privacy. The sound of the creek and wildlife was tranquil at night. The kids loved the open fields and campfire pit.

We stayed in the cabin. It was wonderful having such privacy with it nestled in the woods. Everything was clean and well maintained. They suppled firewood in crates for us to use in the fire pit! It was fun showering under the stars. Luckily, when we were there, it was warm during the day and cool at night so the evening shower water was warmed up by the sun.
The bed was very comfortable, and Darin and Beth were kind and very responsive to any of our needs and questions.
The location is close to Mt. Airy, Pilot Mountain, and Hanging Rock State Park. All three of which we visited.
We plan to visit again soon.

We loved our time at Darin & Beth’s tiny Cabin in the woods.The cabin and the bathroom facilities were exceptionally clean.The Cabin is surrounded by nothing but lovely forest with no neighbors in sight.There is a short loop trail with a beautiful little creek that our dog enjoyed.Wildlife is abundant and can be seen and heard.The directions are easy to follow and we had no issues getting inside the cabin.Highly recommend.Very friendly hosts as well.

If you want good quality unplugged "togetherness" time with family and to get back to nature, then Marshall Creek is your destination. Cabin is nice and cozy, and the bed is incredibly comfortable and gave a great night's sleep. We will definitely be visiting Marshall Creek Farm again and again!

We had such a relaxing time! The burbling little creek by the site provided a lovely backdrop for stargazing. We also enjoyed the nightly chorus of frogs. Quiet place except for a few trucks rolling by on the road.

Darin and Beth have been great hosting us at their beautiful property.
This past weekend there was a countywide fire ban and temps dropped into the 20s overnight
Darin was kind to upgrade us from a tent site to the cabin and even brought us a portable heater for the evening.
We will definitely be back.

This was the perfect get away in the middle of the woods to spend some quality time with my 9 year old Son and our dog Barney.
It felt like we had the whole forest to ourselves sitting by the fire enjoying the sites and sounds of nature with a very nice little cabin and cozy bed when it was time to call it a night.
The space is large enough for a couple of tents along with the cabin and we plan to come back with my wife and daughter in the spring or fall!
The hosts kindly left us with a cooler, two jugs of water and everything we needed for a lovely stay!
We also loved the trails and stream at the bottom of the hill!

Marshall Creek Cabin
I had a great time at Darin & Beth's cabin. I decided to try for a last minute clamping trip for New Year's Eve. Darin was quick to answer questions, before booking and after. Darin & Beth have a beautiful space and very thoughtfully designed cabin! It made a great, quiet night for my dog and I. We stayed warm at night under the blankets on the bed, solar lights offered some light inside the cabin. The stove, fuel, fire pit, everything supports a comfortable stay. Highly recommend.

Darin & Beth were so kind and welcoming! The property is super peaceful and the camp site is large and flat with a stone lined fireplace, picnic table, chairs, and some logs. Darin was kind enough to split some wood for us too!

This spot was perfect to get away with our travel trailer for a few nights. Access to potable water on the other side of the field so we could fill our tank. The creek was nice, as was the fire pit. We did have to level side to side on the gravel drive, so be ready for that if you have a camper. The stars were out of this world (#dadjoke) and the place was as quiet as you could get. Wonderfully restful stay.

Where do I start with this little slice of heaven! It is perfect! Had all you needed for a weekend away on very private land with some comforts of home. We enjoyed just relaxing around the fire listening to some music. Plenty of firewood around if you bring saw/axe to forge for it. We will definitely be back to this one. Thanks so much Darin for offering this special place for others to enjoy!!!

This is such a special spot to land. We spent two beautiful and very quiet nights sitting by the fire, underneath stars and the vibrant colored falling leaves. Only 20 minutes from
Hanging Rock— This place has everything you need to unplug from all the noise and listen to your heart. Plenty of water, firewood for cutting, an outhouse, a DIY shower, a beautifully made cabin with a cozy bed, a grill, a fire pit and most of all, it has space. It’s super private and it feels that way, and all of it is put together by folks who no doubt want you to have a sweet experience. We certainly had a beautiful and restful time, a sweet experience. Thank you Darin and co, we really appreciate you sharing this beautiful place with us.

This is without doubt the best kept property I have stayed on. It was clean and not overgrown. Stargazing is an absolute here. The field is wide and there's no ambient light. It was an easy drive to Hanging Rock State Park. It was private.

Darin's farm is such a beautiful spot for camping! We loved the large pasture and having the beautiful creek right near our campsite. Having firewood available for us to use in the awesome firepit was a huge plus, and Darin acquired additional toilets for the property while we were there. He also kept us posted via text about fun events happening in the community. We were in close proximity to both Hanging Rock and Pilot Mountain State Parks, and spent time visiting the town of Mt. Airy nearby. I appreciated having the site be basically a pull through site, which always makes my life easier with a bumper pull camper! We plan to go back to Darin's property soon and often!

Amazing rustic but newer cabin in a perfect location with everything you could need for a great camping trip. This was my daughter’s first camping trip and a great introduction to somewhat roughing it. Less than 10 minutes scenic drive from Hanging Rock entrance.

Checkin was easy, check out was easy. Nice location and property. The hose was nice to rinse dishes. Close to hanging rock. The fire pit and stars were amazing. The only thing I wish was that there was a bathroom/toilet.
