Our unique, one of a kind 2 person glamp site is nestled in the heart of untouched wilderness. This serene and extremely private retreat offers a perfect escape for nature lovers seeking tranquility and adventure. Set amidst towering sugar maple trees in a secluded breathtaking woodland landscape, our site combines the comforts of home with the beauty of the great outdoors. There is cell service at the tent! Your cozy accommodations feature a spacious elegantly furnished canvas cabin tent with a large partially covered front deck with outside kitchen and fully covered back porch with composting toilet and hand washing sink. Inside is thoughtfully designed to provide a luxurious and comfortable camping experience, with a plush full sized bed adorned with soft linens and fluffy pillows and of course extra quilts. Inside also features a futon couch, dining area and coffee/ food prep bar. The tent is completely off grid and is equipped with battery powered lights, keeping the ambiance warm and inviting. Step outside in the private deck where you can relax with your favorite beverage. Immerse yourself in nature’s symphony as birds sing and gentle breezes rustle through the leaves. In the evening gather around the crackling smokeless fire pit to roast marshmallows, share stories and marvel at the peace and quiet the forest offers. To enhance your experience, we offer a well equipped outdoor kitchenette for your culinary endeavors. Prepare delicious meals using the propane cook stove or fire up the barbecue. Enjoy your creations at the charming picnic table surrounded by a beautiful woodland paradise. For the adventurous souls, a myriad of activities await you just a short drive away. The Tent on Longhope
I loved camping on Sarah’s land! It was very private and quiet and we loved that where we stayed had a fence around it so our dog was able to stay out! Right near elk knob state park and the trails were nice! She had many cooking utensils and plates available as well as outside grill cooking utensils which made our trip so much better. Definitely recommend!

We loved it. Was just like listed. Sarah was Great Host. Definitely recommend. She pretty much had everything you needed. Bring clothes and personal items. Dogs loved it too.

We had a great stay here, felt very remote which is nice. It was truly next level glamping with everything you could possibly need being provided and the host was beyond nice and welcoming, definitely will be back.

Myself and partner loved the calm peaceful atmosphere everything we needed to make a great dinner. The convenience store nearby had ice, snacks, and dairy products. Sarah had great communication any questions we had she was able to inform us and even told us if we needed anything to just shoot her a message extremely kind would recommend and stay here again . Great location, calm and pet friendly!

Camping!
The Tent on Longhope
Camping at Sarah’s was an excellent time. Sarah’s tent comes equipped with pretty much everything you need to have a pleasant experience. Even though the temps were below 40 and it rained everyday. We stayed warm and dry. This Hipcamp is definitely one worth checking out!

Charming Peaceful Getaway
The Tent on Longhope
This was such a delightful quiet spot under the trees. A great camp to get your feet wet in the camp experience or a luxury stay for avid back packers! Sarah had it ALL. The camp was equipped with plenty of blankets and pillows, kitchen utensils/pots/dishes, precut firewood, soaps, lighters, tasteful night time lighting, convenient battery for charging devices, coffee maker and teapot with beautiful handmade mugs and the most charming little details in the decor. We absolutely loved our stay and hope to be back again.

Incredible experience!
The Tent on Longhope
We had the most wonderful stay at The Tent on Long Hope. Prior to the stay Sarah was a wonderful communicator and always quickly answered any questions I had. Upon arriving, checking in was super simple and Sarah made sure to give us all the info we needed for our stay. The location is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. The Tent has everything you could possibly need for a few days. We especially loved the fire pit, hammock and interior of the tent. The bed was so comfortable and the kitchen area had everything we needed to cook our meals. Can’t recommend this place enough! We will absolutely be coming back.

Awesome time

Had a great time at Sarah’s place. It was private and peaceful. It stormed on Friday night but we stayed completely dry. Highly recommend!

Lovely August Weekend
The Tent on Longhope
My girlfriend and I had a lovely stay at this site. We arrived late, and the host was very accommodating and responsive to text the entire stay. A secluded spot near Todd, Elk Knob Sate Park, and Boone. Kayaking, hiking, exploring Todd and Boone all convenient options. Wonderful front deck with an awesome smokeless firepit and facilities to cook and grill. Battery packs for lighting and charging available. Cool and comfortable in the summer. Get away from the urban heat and bustle. If you car camp or backpack, this will definitely feel luxurious.

Peaceful and serene! You must go!
The Tent on Longhope
This site will be a regular stop for us! Amazing location and the setting is beyond gorgeous. Sarah has created the perfect location to sit back and let yourselves be in the moment. We had our 4 dogs with us and they loved laying around on the fences in deck and walking through the woods. We had everything we needed from water to wood to cast iron skillets to cook in and a grate to cook on the open fire too. Each area of the tent is intentionally thought out and made us feel at home. We highly recommend this site and you will get a huge hug from nature and a tree canopy that takes you to another level. Sarah was always available for any questions. It was so nice to park, unload the truck and not leave for 4 days! Oh and she makes gorgeous pottery and other art! Can’t wait to return! The drive up there is absolutely incredible! Be sure to check out the little downtown Todd sandwich shop and bakery on your way in or out! The River Girl fishing company is also there for kayaking, tubing or fishing adventures!

Amazing little place I was happy to call home for a few days. It’s easily the best glamping setups I’ve seen, with all the details absolutely perfect. I can’t wait to stay here again!

Best glamping tent I have ever rented. Spacious, comfortable and very thoughtful set up. It is gorgeous at the mountains here. Great hiking nearby. Sarah is an exceptional host and very kind. I would highly recommend this site!

Perfect for glamping with your pups

This is a very well thought out comfortable spot to relax and unwind! It has everything you need to cook, relax and get a great night's sleep. I love that it has an enclosed porch for my dog to hang out with me. Enzo definitely approved and we will be back!

Beautiful Tent Cabin Retreat
The Tent on Longhope
If you are looking for a quiet retreat close to hiking and downtown Boone, this is the spot! We had so much fun in this camping cabin, and Sarah made us feel so welcome and at home upon arrival. We ended up getting some snow and colder weather than what we initially expected, but that did not deter us or our 2 dogs one bit. We hope to be back soon to see another season, and enjoy all that the beautiful area has to offer.

I loved camping at the longhope tent!! The scenery was spectacular and the tent was so comfortable! I loved the sounds of nature as I drifted off to sleep! The French press and coffee with the view was magical!!!

Amazing Glamping Experience
The Tent on Longhope
Sarah’s Glamping site was everything we wanted for a quiet couple days away. The personal touches -fire built, fresh water ready, flowers from her garden- were everything! It was helpful to meet her at the bottom of the hill and she gave directions on how to get up the road to the camp (AWD or 4WD recommended). She was so nice and passed off the two charged batteries for us to use while we were there (we watched a movie with a projector on the side of the tent with it! We brought the projector). It was serene, private, with amazing fall colors. We went into Boone (30 minutes) one night and stayed in another and cooked over our campfire. There’s also a great state park like 10 minutes away with some good hikes. We absolutely loved it. And will be back again for sure!

Such an AMAZING experience at Sarah’s tent. Her attention to detail is simply the best. The quality and craftsmanship of the tent were 100% top notch. The bed was super comfortable and everything was very clean. You will feel cared for and cozy, safe and at peace here in the beautiful peaks and valleys of Todd. Definitely don’t miss an opportunity to stay here. We wish we could have stayed longer and will absolutely be back!

Sweet Nest in the Woods

Sarah thought of everything! Her glamping tent is a very sweet little nest in the woods. Her attention to detail is amazing-we had everything we needed. The bed and sofa were very comfy and the place was incredibly clean! Our weekend in the woods was a lovely respite. Even with rain, we had a beautiful relaxed evening and morning on the “porch”.

A truly amazing stay! Sarah was very kind and responsive. The site is private, comfortable, and full of charming touches. We had everything we needed to cook dinner and breakfast during our 1-night stay. Our dog loved it so much that she refused to leave and we had to carry her to the car! This has to be one of the best glamping sites around.

Everything about this stay was perfectly dreamy. The space is so well thought out and so well done. It’s close to hiking trails, Boone, and Blowing Rock. Sarah, the host, was so friendly and sweet. We had absolutely everything we needed and had a wonderful stay!

Ahhhhh-mazing
The Tent on Longhope
My stay at the camp on Longbottom FAR exceeded my expectations. It was so much more than just a tent in the woods; Sarah thought of EVERYTHING… from candles, extra blankets, and a record player, to citronella torches, fresh ground coffee, and a smokeless fire pit complete with chopped wood of all sizes. She even made my first night’s camp fire for me! The tent is extremely spacious, sturdy, and tidy; and held up to two thunderstorms without a drop inside. The bed and sheets were high quality and comfortable, even rivaling my bed at home! Sarah was the perfect host; attentive to all my needs but not intrusive. She also was more than willing to show me her goats, chickens, and garden when I asked her. The setting was serene and peaceful, engulfed in tall hardwoods. I would recommend this place for anyone!
