Pond, willows & duck patrol. Oh My!
We were visiting our son, a Marine, near by and did not wish to stay @ a local “sandwich” RV park. Well we chose the ideal location & hosts. Patrick met us upon arrival & even allowed us to change locations from the “oaks” to the “pond” among the willows. He apologized that the grass was not properly quaffed, but that his mower was in the shop & had his neighbor coming over to mow. Keep in mind a hurricane had just came through a few days prior and dropped torrential rainfall, hence the grass grew. We had absolutely no issues w/it. In our opinion it was/is a perfectly beautiful & peaceful farmette. We had plenty of room to spread out & move about. I digress. We spoke w/neighbor next day as he was mowing. He even invited us to bring our special needs daughter over to swim in their pool.
I personally loved watching the duck security team. They had an early morning swim, then onto patrol. A mated pair of Muscovy cross would wattle up one side of the chat gravel, grass centered lane. About face! Back down the other side of the lane.
Spend your precious time & money to get the most out of your stay. Skip the RV parks. Patrick, his family, neighbors, ducks, goats & chickens will ensure you have a secure & memorable visit only minutes from the beach, downtown, great restaurants, bars & gift shops. Don’t forget to purchase some, firewood & farm fresh eggs for your stay. Feed is expensive & those ducks earn their keep.
