Just stayed at Live Oaks Farm and it was wonderful! The surroundings are absolutely beautiful, and the host was so pleasant and helpful. Access to local attractions and Topsail Island was incredibly convenient. A perfect peaceful getaway with easy access to everything. Highly recommend!

One of the best HipCamps so far!! Patrick is a great guy and was very hospitable! 10 minutes from beach and thoroughly enjoyed the Pond Site! Will be back in the future!!

First time using Hipcamp. Maiden voyage for our home built truckbed camper. We had an amazing time. Patrick was an incredible host. Very spacious property and easily accessible. Beautiful place to go. Quiet and cozy. Thank you Patrick for a great time!

The Live Oaks Grove
Patrick and his wife were very welcoming and helpful. It was my first time in town and Patrick send me a list of dog friendly restaurants/ attractions, as I had my pup with me. Additionally, their mass of land was perfect for my pup to run around freely and safely. The location is about 17 minutes from free parking to a beach which was perfect for us! Will be staying there again if we are ever back in town.

The setting was very nice with lots of space and flexible camper parking under the live oak trees. Nice shade with water and electric hookups. Would definitely return again.

We had a great time at this camp. The host was very welcoming and friendly, he made sure we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The spot was level and beautifully shaded by huge old trees, making it nice and cool on a hot day. Absolutely recommend this location.

Great stay at Live Oaks Farm. We were provided with very detailed instructions on how to find the property which was helpful as we arrived after dark. Patrick met us upon arrival, helped guide us to the spot and even helped us hook up. The site was very quiet and peaceful, we had no issues at all. Plenty of space to walk pets, and there’s a frisbee golf course. Close drive to stores and the main highway. I would definitely stay here again.

The Pond Site was lovely, especially the adorable duck couple that lives in the pond! Loved seeing the chickens and goats, as well. We really appreciated the available electric and water. The only drawback was a few ants, but overall a great stay with responsive hosts.

Nice even site with water and power close to beach. We stayed July 4th-7th(Thur-Sun) 2024. Not a private site what so ever, so if privacy is your thing I would stay elsewhere. The pond view camp is on a disc golf course where you will have disc golfers in your camping area almost as long as the sun is out. The host asked if it was okay if a team played a round Thursday evening and I said it was okay thinking I would maybe see them once in the evening. They were there at 2pm when we checked in and there til sun down. I also had no clue the pond site is directly around about 5 or 6 holes, and sits in the fairway of one of them. They were also there all day Saturday which we had no warning from the host about. Although there is mention directly in the listing you can dump black tank sewage at this site, there is no place to dump your black tank other than his Rhino portable rv sewer tank which he had me unplug from his own RV, and when doing so, even after making sure his tanks were closed, the smelliest brown sludge came pouring out almost getting on me as I was expecting an empty tube. The tank itself was “empty” but smelled absolutely horrible and had small puddles of brown water inside. I just left it at that point and dumped at Camping World near my house. He allowed Grey tank dumping right at the camp site so that was a plus for us. There is also no picnic table at the campsite which is mentioned in the listing, so bring your own table if you have one.

We had an amazing time staying at Patrick’s property. He went out of his way to come to the rescue when we had an ant problem in our trailer which it turns out they were living in the lights, but he came right over with pest control goods and checked up on us to make sure that the ants were gone. He is an amazing person and was very responsive and nice to talk to you. We will definitely come back if we have our trailer.

This was a great spot for a weekend beach trip! The property is beautiful and mostly quiet. You may hear some road noise and chickens but that adds to the camping experience. The beach was an easy 10-15 minutes away and there is a grocery store right down the street too. Awesome spot and we will be returning soon!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful campground over Father's Day weekend, and it was an absolutely delightful experience!
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the super nice hosts who made us feel right at home. Their hospitality set the tone for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
The campground itself is a gem. It's nestled among shady trees, providing a serene and cool environment, which was perfect for escaping the summer heat. We particularly enjoyed the pond on the property. It was a fantastic spot for some leisurely fishing, and we even managed to catch a fish!
One of the best features of this campground is its location. It's conveniently close to the beach, making it easy to enjoy some sun and waves without a long drive. Additionally, having a grocery store nearby was incredibly handy for picking up any last-minute supplies.
Overall, this campground provided the perfect blend of natural beauty and family friendly environment. We can't wait to return and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great camping experience!

Nice and relaxing. Love the animals. Plenty of room for our 42' 5th wheel. Enjoyed having the pond in front of us as we walked out everyday and sitting by the fire. North Topsail beach is very close. Evening parking was easy to find, day parking we had to drive around and hunt for. Patrick was very nice and accommodating.

Good location for the beach. Lots of loud traffic from road in front of camp site up through early morning. Loud trucks and very loud motorcycles through 2 am. Host very friendly and had site ready. If you're a late night person and not bothered load noises not a bad place for you.

We really enjoyed staying at Patrick's Hipcamp! Parked under live oaks that provided plenty of shade and bird song. There's a pond on site and some land to walk around on. One other camp site was used on the property, but we could only see them through the tress and were too far away to hear them. Patrick greeted us and showed us where to set up and gave us instructions on sewer dump. Although, you are parked in their front yard, we only saw the family once when they stopped by to greet us. The only drawback was the proximity to a fairly busy road. Overall, it was a peaceful getaway with an easy 10 minute drive to many north topsail beaches! We would definitely stay here again!

Had an enjoyable stay at Patrick's place. Due to torrential rains on our travel/arrival day we left a day later for our stay. The pond site looked very nice but was understandably too soggy to set up my rig. Patrick was very accommodating and set us up in the front of his place nearer the live oaks. Hard ground and dry there. There was a couple with kids fairly close to us but they were fine with the situation. The road was a little noisy but not terrible. Good spot to base camp and enjoy Topsail island.

This place was amazing and Patrick was an excellent host. It is a little off of a busy road, but the noise was minimal. The only noise seemed to be the rooster that crowed intermittently all day. There is a Food Lion a few miles away and a few decent places to eat. The beach is pretty close as well. My dog enjoyed romping in the pond. I will definitely stay again if I’m the area.
